I tried Luigi in doubles...so far my Mario is actually owning doubles more than my Luigi. Even though I like random Up-B kills A LOT.

I like to think my Luigi is really legit btw.

Up-B is amazing. I've had some good times. Once I played a Snake and he was trying to spike me with fair. I air shoryukened him and won the match.

Another was when I was doing team friendlies. I thought we were gonna lose unless we got a low percent KO. I shoryuken BOTH partners at the same time and we win.

I'd post my opinion on Mario and Luigi, but it's going to be heavily biased because I only play Mario.

Ehh whatever, Mario's better :).

Wishing Apex 2012 happened again.
I try and use the Mario Bros evenly as my mains but I tend to go Luigi more for doubles and Mario for singles. I might pick up somebody eventually. It's probably gonna be either Kirby or Marth. I'm thinking Kirby because he can fight D3 and MK pretty well, but I'm thinking Marth because he can fight G&W, Falco, and other high tiers well. I'll work on them eventually.
wow massive biter lollllllll.

Just kidding.

Marf? Mario can definately handle him.
Mine can't :(

Picking up MK for that MU and Lucario I think.

Lucario and Marth are going to be tough. Neither character does too well against them (Unless your Mario is amazing enough to beat Marths, which mine definitely isn't.).

Fighting Lucario is like fighting G&W, except it's more tedious since he's a lot more defensive, but he generally doesn't destroy you as quickly. And you can gimp him. Oh yeah Aura is a *****, but he still doesn't destroy you that quickly...just never get baited by his Smashes and Aura Sphere. You can always powershield his F-smash on reaction if you really want to.

Vs Marth...uh...depends on who you go up against. If it's not a top level Marth, you're good to go, but if it is...things can get ugly really fast.

Mario can beat Lucario. I've beaten NinjaLink's Lucario in Tournament. It's really easy once you realize they all do the SAME THING. The problem with a lot of WiFi Mario's is they have trouble in Match-Up's against characters that can combo break. Mario, while having good combo potential, is not a character you should solely be looking to combo with. Go for the combo's only when you feel like you can land a few hits or two in a string. A lot of Mario's I see coming up are WAAAAAY to aggressive as well and only concern themselves with going for combos. You can't do this in tournament and at higher levels of play.

Fighting Lucario is all about baiting his aerials out of throws and punishing him. The staple way I rack damage against Lucario is spaced Bair's and Dthrow>Run Away>Punish They Dair the ALWAYS use with a Bair string. Lucario doesn't posses a combo breaker from the left or right sides, he can only break combos strings in which you have to come at him from underneath. If you're coming at him from above or the side there's little he can do. Cape is amazing at ****ing with his aerial approaches, especially Fair and Nair. You can also camp Lucario pretty well with Fireballs and the follow ups after the stun from one.

Lucario is extremely beatable and in my opinion isn't a problem MU at all. It's rather simple if you know how to play it.

I've been thinking of picking up a secondary, but I dunno yet. I still have a lot to master with Mario's metagame, and I feel like a good Mario can handle most MUs. Plus, I just have the most fun with him.

I've been messing around with Luigi, Pit, and Peach as seconds. I'm not good with any of them yet, though. I'd rather improve my Mario. I'm currently working on SH nair and grabbing. I suck at grabs, even shield grabs.

And yeah, the Lucario MU is annoying.

But here's the thing, a good player catches on. You can't Dthrow>punish Dair the whole game. A good Lucario would be one that doesn't do the exact same thing as all the other ones.

Also, his range is insanely better than ours. We can bait and punish attacks, but in general he has a much easier time doing it. Everything he does is generally safer.
However, our OoS game and cape help out a lot.

The lack of kill potential really hurts in this MU too.
I'm not saying it isn't doable. Every MU is doable. However, it is difficult enough that it's worth a secondary IMO.

EDIT:

Keep in mind, Jab D-smash on Lucario is unblockable. That's how floaty he is.
That is very good to know!

Basically this. I dunno who you guys play to think the match-up is all that hard...

Remember to save your Smashes too...You want to kill him, not rack damage.

Lucario isn't hugely threatening. He's just reaaaaaaly good at being a homo.

He's sorta like Sonic in that he really can't get a kill very easily without landing a lucky Smash or B-air. His KO moves are just super safe and spammable though. If you can avoid getting baited into Aura Spheres, F-smashes, and his forward roll, you should have a decent time figuring him out.

You can't let him play his game either. He wants to zone and keep optimal spacing.

Simply don't let him, and force him to adapt to your playstyle, all while remaining unpredictable.

Uhh I thought G&W would be Mario's secondary
Both countered/disadvantaged vs. marth and MK right? I think snake would be mario's best secondary, or maybe marth.

Lucario is annoying, but it is doable like people have said. You really should save fsmash or dsmash for kills, because if he's living at 130%., your damage rises pretty fast lol.

Do we have a mario finder here?

Im only 14, Inferno. VERY LOW CHANCE of me taking a plane just for a tourney. lol
Ahhh... I'm in your dilemma too Big-O, I'm also 14, but I can still make it to tourneys into Toronto and my area since I got family up there. But I really wish I grew up in the 90's cause every one was pretty chill, personally I don't like how this decade is turning out and I think this is a crappy time for kids to grow up in.

I don't blame you, Javon. Ugh, this decade is ok but 90's is way better. 90's > 2000's. :)

oh ****ing ****!!!
this is incredible, but i dunno whether it is really as helpful as it looks like?
i mean my first thought was: wow they **** in teams
but to force this superarmor thing the IC's have to kill them self first right?
cuz i think the time window since pop dies and nana will disappear is to small to pull this off in a real match
is this superamor worth for a selfkill?
