I'd say Boss and Chudat are fairly close on skill/experience though, and Chudat is 3stocking Boss without much effort since Boss doesn't know the matchup (when to be frank, Boss should actually be WINNING against Chudat if he simply used a lot more B-throw). I'd probably at worst get 2stocked by an ICs that was clearly better than me. Chudat's playstyle personally doesn't scare me tbh. The point is for a high level Mario user, Boss is usually not a good example to emulate since he doesn't know his characters/matchups as well as others.

I'm also willing to bet that if I met Boss in person, I would beat him at the Mario ditto in Melee (or I would beat his Doc with my Mario). He's probably not willing to play nearly as gay as I am, and his ground spacing in general is fairly underdeveloped. His quick playstyle definitely works better than mine against space animals, but when he has to slow down, he doesn't seem to know what he should be doing.

And if by any chance Boss does beat me in a Melee Mario ditto, I'm going to call that I will have forced him to play gayer than he's ever had to play in his entire career.
I really hope Boss reads this and just wrecks.

I do too. I HOPE boss beats me in Mario dittos if we meet. I want him to learn to improve his spacing and move choices as well as learn to be more patient in general. He's easily a better player than me in areas outside those two, but given where he's clearly weak, I cannot recommend his playstyle to most players.

Otherwise I will guarantee, he WILL lose to me in Mario dittos, or if he goes Doc against my Mario, since it's a matchup won by camping and spacing, two areas where I know from observation I'm far more comfortable than Boss.

Personally I think 2fast's Mario is sexier at the moment. He has the best recent footage at the moment.

2fast is legit. I gotta step up my game when I finally have constant access to a wii. Learn to not do stupid **** like trying to combo into Fsmash and fishing for kills. I hate when old habits come back :(

Yes, I'm black (technically brown, this (
Black
) is black for those unaware) & its not all Mario mains being a certain race (or color). That's becoming ignorant. When I'm playing a game (any), never do I allow race (or color) to install fear in me because then I'll lose the battle mentally.

Did you all know one time I went to a tournament a while back & had to play an Asian kid in bracket. All I could think about at the time was how I was going to get my *** handed to me & on what dish. Long story short, I didn't play the MU right (played like newcomer scrub muffin) & lost...pretty bad. Recently, I started to realize that we're all human & have minds. Similar weight training, the point is how you condition that muscle to work properly.

Next...

Anyone playing MvC3
Marvel versus Capcom Three
competitively? I'd like to hear any suggestion(s) you may have for my team (Captain America, Chris Red-field & Nathan Spencer) regarding game breaking tactics.

First off, don't play Captain America. As fun as he is, he sucks. His only redeeming factor is his infinite (Cr. H>Shield Slash Hx3>J. Shield Slash M>Shield slash HX3>Repeat until dead.).

Spencer is amazing, and with Haggar has a dumb glitch that pretty much allows you to have your way with anyone as soon as you land a hyper.

Chris Redfield has a great camping game and does stupid good chip damage, especially the submachine gun. Abuse the **** out of the mine and incendiary grenade, since they allow crazy good stage control.

I run Viewtiful Joe/Morrigan/Wolverine or Shuma myself (As much as I hate it, Joe is not my best. I definitely do way better with Morrigan. Need to get that tech skill down though.).

I don't play competitively (I might in the future) but my team is Zero/Wolverine/Sentinel. As much as I want Zero to be my best, he is currently my worst. Probably because he is harder to use (at least his basics are harder). Jw, can you chain 2 drill claws together with Wolverine?

Naw, you cant Inferno. You can do drillclaw into his divekick though.

I still haven't actually made a cohesive team yet. Haven't felt the need.

Like Matador said, Aerial Drill Claw to Dive kick is great. It resets combos, and I don't think it counts as an OTG, so when you relaunch you *Should* be able to use aerial S at the end of an aerial combo>Cr. M to reset again, though I haven't tried it to be sure.

Heh, As Zero you can be a **** and just pull out the Zero glitch for timeouts XD
Other than that I don't know Zero at all :(
I just know he has ridiculous combos and is kind of hard to use.

I really hope they patch the game though, because right now it is janky as hell...

I normally use that team. I've used others for fun like Shuma Gorath, Phoenix, and Doom but I really don't know how to use those characters as well as I can use my main 3. I probably would be a bit better if instead of Zero I used an easier to use character but Zero is my favorite character so I want him on my team.

-You're right regarding Captain America not being an ideally good character but that's my first priority. Whenever I use a character, they're being used used because I enjoy (have fun) playing as them & not because they may secure a win. Granted, winning is another important factor but not the only (you can tell by Mario being my main).

-PS3 (& Xbox 360) updates. Like Sent's 1,300,000 health, the creators decreased that factor in the game so if you're still playing the original copy then you might as well stop now (won't go as smooth in tournament). The Nathan Spencer glitch is old (thanks for the heads up though).

-Chris Red-field indeed does have an exceptionally well camping-game. Chip damage (IMO) is awesome but I'm really looking for reads to secure effective (damaging) hits. Watching, Reading & Punishing is what I do (generally speaking) in fighting games. The placement (high/mid, not just high like his Magnum) of his SMG is another factor that makes his camping so effective. Grenades (Light>preventing rush-down (smart-aggro) approaches, Medium>Breaking combos (especially wall ****) & High>keeping opponent(s) at bay & forcing another approach excluding the ground (unless disappearing in front of or behind you) approach) I find to be extremely useful for applying quick pressure (when used with the right assist(s) can really change the look of the battle).

Regarding OTG assists, I'd really like to maximize the overall effect of these tactics. Do you know about Captain America's Full screen Back-flip?

Now that this whole stupid Aprils Fools crap is over, I can finally read what everybody been saying... All I got to say is LAUGHING MY ****ING *** OFF at A2Z thinking he can beat Boss in anything... especially Melee.

Mmkays, now that I'm off Boss's ****, I still laugh my *** off seeing A2Z thinking he can beat Boss.. in Melee. No offense to Boss(if any taken), but why not call out someone that can actually goto SoCal, such as Shroomed or Waffles, or ones that are already in SoCal such as myself or countless others.

Just cause you can beat your friends, doesn't mean you're Jesus Christ. That is all.

Oh god... are we seriously going to start this crap again?

@Omari:
-Captain America: Point taken. He is, after all, a lot of fun, and I really hope he gets buffed down the line. Not sure what you mean by the full screen backflip though. To my knowledge, the backflip is pretty much useless since it gives no invul and is basically giving yourself lag.

-While I'm sure they will be fixed, as of now the glitches I mentioned are still in the game (Even though the Spencer one was SUPPOSED to be fixed).
She-Hulk also has a glitch that allows her to start a team combo off of the ground, therefore canceling it and giving her an additional OTG. On the plus side, despite it canceling and acting like an OTG, it still is an aerial combo, so if you mash down and S, you break it pretty much every time.

-Hmmm... The reason I mention his chip damage is because Chris has some of the best chip damage in the game, and with his level 3 X-factor can decimate health bars with just that.
That being said, he's really not much of a bait and punish character. If you want a bait and punish character, I'd suggest someone like Amaretsu, Viewtiful Joe, Thor, and *maybe* Spiderman (Not too sure on Spidey, though he seems like he could be.).

@Inferno: This video is REALLY good for explaining and breaking down Zero's combos.
