I know I do, but I have *insert johns here* :(. Homework, and school, not too mention I have to travel to go to a tournament, lol.

And Black Ops is legit? Is it better than MW2? The metagame is still new so people won't be abusing tactics yet. World at War ftw.

All everyone cares about is MW2. That game was WAAAYYY too overhyped and that multiplayer was horrible.

Wishing Apex 2012 happened again.

Haha, Hippiedude, I think 2-3 months is too long :p.

Give it a week, there's going to be a new UMP. Not to mention that you can get infinite care packages already in Black Ops (this exploit happened in MW2 as well...)

I feel the developers don't really patch the game a lot. (they just patch exploitable glitches, that can seriously harm gameplay). They need to give things nerfs, give things buffs. It's overall good to keep the players interested and refresh the gameplay.

Or maybe it's just me overworrying because I started playing CoD when Modern Warfare 2 came out, which can explain the bias in my post.

I suck at FPS games too. Don't enjoy them much cuz I suck at them.

Everyone at my college gets mad at me for whooping their ***** in brawl.
Same here, lol. It sucks, all anyone cares about is ****ing CoD.
Word.

Except I'm fairly certain that Smash actually is more popular at UCSB than FPS games. And most people here are chill.

You... don't own a wii?

Also, yes in Mario Kart wii because when you win you can say to your opponents that you lost to a Bowser

Bowser is top tier in Mario Kart
He's top tier in Time Trials and 64's Battle Mode . . . . not so much anywhere else (except MAYBE in MKWii, but the tiers are so broken and out-of-whack in that game that it could make a pro-MK-ban player cry).

MKWii is all about Daisy, Funky Kong, and Rosalina iirc. And Dry Bowser and Dry Bones are like...bottom tier lol.

MKDS tiers are funny. Top tier is like Luigi, Yoshi, Dry Bones. Bottom tier is Donkey Kong, Bowser, Peach, Daisy. What's especially funny is how all the worst characters in the game have the highest drift turn stat lmao. Design fail at its finest.

Man the days I was a pro at MKDS (Luigi/Mario user for life)...I miss those. And I've been slacking on MKWii.

Really? I thought Yoshi was top tier in Mario Kart. And I thought most people used Yoshi/Peach/Toad for Time Trials.

I didn't enjoy Mario Kart Wii all that much, Wi-Fi was what made it really fun, but you get bombarded with Blue Shells so much :(.

Super Mario Kart/Kart 64/DD/MK:DS, are the best ones, in my opinion.

2nd one added a lot more, and it's also the popular one of the two.

Gah, I meant to say in Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart Super Circuit, my bad.
(Well, actually he's the second best in SMK, behind Donkey Jr., but ohwell) Yes, Yoshi/Toad are top tier in TT. (Surprisingly, Peach seems to do poorer than those two)

The lightweight drivers' offroad stat is what makes them so good at MK64 and MKDS, and MKDD's lightweight karts were the best statwise, with the Bullet Kart and Barrel Train beating the Golden Kart in stats. (Even though the Golden Kart was supposed to be the best. lol)

This. 10 times THIS.

Super Mario Kart/Kart 64/DD/MK:DS, are the best ones, in my opinion.
That's nearly all of the home versions. XD

From favorite, to least favorite, I'd rank the Mario Kart games:
1. Mario Kart 64 (best music and most balance)
2. Mario Kart: Super Circuit (best course design)
3. Mario Kart DS (best battle mode)

4. Super Mario Kart
5. Mario Kart Double Dash
6. Mario Kart Arcade GP
7. Mario Kart Arcade GP 2

999 8. Mario Kart Wii

Maan Super Mario Kart is BEAST. I liked that idea of coins = more speed, whatever happened to that?
It appeared in Mario Kart Super Circuit, but after that, it hasn't appeared since. (Unless you count the coin missions in MKDS, but those didn't speed up your kart)

In Mario Kart Wii online, I hated the fact that everyone used Daisy and Funky Kong. And really all that determines the win is the items and if you know the track well.

Mario Kart 64 is the best.

All these people hating on Mario Kart Wii, it baffles me. Mario Kart Wii is the best Mario Kart.

The actual racing mechanics aren't TOO extensive, but the track design more than makes up for it. For the most part there is no shortcut or time saving trick in Mario Kart Wii that is easy to do. Perfect turns are especially important in MK Wii, and the slightest change in the angle at which you approach a jump can make a very significant difference in how much time you save. Generally speaking MK Wii has some of the toughest shortcuts out of all Mario Kart games that exist.

That aspect of Mario Kart Wii makes it one of the most technical games that Nintendo has ever released.

Opinion, I can't stand it because I feel it's too casual, not to mention the heavy item, kart, and character imbalances. Also, the team battle mode sucks, it's not even a battle any more, not to mention the balloons don't actually serve a real purpose if you respawn anyway.

The actual racing mechanics aren't TOO extensive
It's the most simplistic in the series, and that's saying something because the most tech-involved game came right before.

, but the track design more than makes up for it.
You do realize that Mario Kart has the most simplistic course design in the Mario Kart series, right? A full race at Rainbow Road in Mario Kart Wii involves LESS turns than a full race in Super Mario Kart's Mario Circuit 1. As such, the only three tracks that I like in MKWii are Maple Treeway, Koopa Cape, and Grumble Volcano. Though I also lob at Moonview Highway because it seems like 90% of the people I race with online are hard-countered there. (I can't really figure that out though, 75% of the course has only three turns and the vehicles avoid the boost pads, making it easy to not get hit . . .)

For the most part there is no shortcut or time saving trick in Mario Kart Wii that is easy to do.
Virtually every track has a shortcut that is easy to do:

-Luigi Circuit: Mushroom over the sand at the U-Turn
-Moo Moo Meadows: Large patches of grass that you don't even need a mushroom to obtain the benefits.
-Mushroom Gorge: You can cut the U-Turn using a mushroom with faster bikes, another one near the beginning involving a lone mushroom, and a physics exploit which can cut 75% of the course by sticking to a wall in mid-air
-Toad's Factory: The only thing close to a shortcut on this stage is a possible corner-cutter that can be done at faster speeds, but that's due to the closed in nature of the stage

-Mario Circuit: Corner cutting is really effective with mushrooms, as is crossing behind the Chomp with a mushroom
-Coconut Mall: There is an intentional shortcut in the first row of malls, like Toad's Factory, there isn't any truly "off-course" terrain, so that's pretty much the only one of note.
-DK's Summit: You can cut the first of the two u-turns simply by turning right, the wall you hit can even be used to send your momentum in the direction of the track without having to lose speed. Also, the part with the Snowboarding Shy Guys can have several seconds shaved off by abusing the stunt texture. (You can just bounce off of it at an extremely shallow angle to basically ride through the whole thing with a stunt turbo)
-Wario's Gold Mine: If you drive forward at the next-to-last turn, you can end up on a series of speed pads. Also, there's another physics exploit possible which involves going backwards, mushrooming off the stage, and touching the last cavern to cut 80% of the time.

-Daisy Circuit: There's an intentional shortcut near the beginning, as well as a sidewalk which can be turbo'd on to save time
-Koopa Cape: Most of the turns can be cut across without even needing a mushroom.
-Maple Treeway: There's an intentional shortcut near the beginning, another shortcut that should be possible isn't due to the checkpoint system though, which is kind of a lame because it's one of the few legit-looking unintentional shortcuts.
-Grumble Volcano: This one takes practice, but you can mushroom across the lone isolated peak. There is also a lap-counting glitch that is pretty straightforward and only needs to be done once to be able to count each lap within about 40 seconds

-Dry Dry Ruins: One stunt-involved corner cutter, two intentional shortcuts, and a stunt phsyic exploit which lets you safely cross some of the sand in the ruin itself.
-Moonview Highway: An intentional shortcut near the beginning
-Bowser's Castle: Stunt Pad Grinding, Lava Geyser exploits, and a stunt physics exploit which can allow you to cross the mud near the Bowser robot.
-Rainbow Road: You can cut through the 8-shape with a single mushroom, using the momentum to cross the other and bounce to the U-turn that is before the "rainbow beam". There is also another stunt physics exploit possible with the 8's rims and the undulating patch of track

The retros have easy shortcuts too.

Perfect turns are especially important in MK Wii
Not more than in Mario Kart DS:

, and the slightest change in the angle at which you approach a jump can make a very significant difference in how much time you save.
That's true about all of the Mario KArts. >_>

Generally speaking MK Wii has some of the toughest shortcuts out of all Mario Kart games that exist.
Not really, the SPIRAL shortcut in MK64 Rainbow Road, MKSC's Rainbow Road in general, ricocheting off the walls at MK64 Luigi Raceway, and MKSC Yoshi Desert's shortcuts are far harder to pull off.

That aspect of Mario Kart Wii makes it one of the most technical games that Nintendo has ever released.
In your opinion, I feel that it's one of the least technical, especially due to the item imbalance and the dumbing down of the mini-turbo system (I mean literally, they made it so the game does it for you, you can't swivel for mini-turbos like in the other games [excluding SMK of course]), not to mention it's actually the slowest of all of the Mario Karts.

Super Mario World is da bess.
Too true, I just wished that the bosses had more hitstun like in SMB . . . . in SMW you can harm them as soon as they get back up. In fact, I don't recall once ever listening to the entire boss song in game, and it's just 50 seconds long. >_>;
