Oh, TWILT, I thought you were making your own now. I'll get one or two of those done right now. AND ONCE MORE to everyone who's planning on making these: The following link outlines how to better than I ever could.
Awww, shucks. Well, I'm a sucker for flattery. Not that these exactly take artistic talent; you want that kinda stuff, talk to Mendez, cheap_josh, or Iron Thorn. Oh, and Junahu. I think I forgot a few people, but anyway, Art was always my worst class.
YAYBEEZ! The others will have to be tomorrow, I'm afraid.
EDIT: Hey, wait a second! What's that hidden text there, TWILT? Hmm... maybe I don't want you to have this, after all! Bah humbug!
Oh yeah, sure. They're just as easy to make in GIMP (apparently, as I've never used it), and can even be made in MS Paint, although it's much harder to edit the picture and make a neat background.
And with that, I leave you all (like, three people) until the morrow!
Hopefully I won't wake up to find fifteen new pages again.
HOLY CRAP!!! YES!!!! YES!!!!! Three Days Grace FTW /3DGfanboyism
Wait a second.....does that mean someone other than me decided to do a Three Days Grace moveset as well.
Whatever, i'm adding it without permission
EDIT: NO!!!!.....alright thank you KingK.Rool
Also, if anyone wants to know where my 3.0 movesets are, just ask, and i'll send you URL. I need room for my Sigg now. The server to smashboards blow =/
No problem there. And thank you for the thank you, TWILT.
You know, I've been thinking a lot, and I think I'm going to be specializing into mostly Pokemon movesets. Not exclusively, but mostly. Why?
1) Most people know Pokemon. Even if they don't, they're simple enough that all it takes is ten seconds to read a few Pokedex entries I put at the start of the set, and boom, you know the character inside and out.
2) VARIETY! Most other series are limited in number of characters and in how wacky they are. Whereas Pokemon has everything from Mewtwo to Geodude to Hippopotas.
3) Ideas everywhere! I don't have to take a Pokemon and make a moveset around it; I can make up a moveset and pick a Pokemon to make it for. Just off the top of my head, I can think up stuff for Gulpin, Weavile, Tangela, and Electrode (I REALLY wanna do that one).
4) Familiarity. I know Pokemon. It's probably the single franchise I played the most in my younger days.
I'm just kinda thinking out loud here, but yeah. Expect quite a few Pokemon from me in MYM 4 (although NOT exclusively, I also have ideas for a Mario dude, a Zelda dude, and... someone a bit more retro, like REALLY retro).
Although at the rate I'm going, I'll be lucky to finish Snorlax in time for the grand opening of MYM 4.
@KingK.Rool:
Sorry to burst your bubble, but if it's going to be like in MYM 3.0, there will be only a limited number of Pokémon entries. Which I actually do support. A lot.
@Hyper_Ridley:
Whoa. Really good for the crap named "Paint".
@Chief Mendez:
How about you use either one of the stages which were provided in one of the 4 winner's movesets (if there are) OR alternatively just take one of the arenas which were submitted in this contest, no matter if in movesets or as standalones?
I would be very grateful and honoured if you would, for instance, use my Special Stage Arena, since it went under the radar and isn't actually really recognized at all, which I think is a shame. I think I did well with that. ;-;

Oh, my bubble's fine. I'm 98% sure that we're abolishing that rule. But why do you support it so much? I always figured it was really senseless and bizarre to have the ONLY limit on submissions be the number of Pokemon you make.
I mean, they take just as much time and effort as any other moveset, so you mind explaining your mindset to me there, Spadefox (I refuse to say Spade Fawks)?

Basically, it's because I'm a noob at Pokemon. Besides, I would rather have obscure movesets hijack that thread than 100s of Pokemons. I mean, we could raise the number to 3, but yea. =/
Yeah, we'll almost definitely be dropping that rule. The big reason for it this go-around was because of the monstrous number of Pokemon entries that MYM2 had. It started to get ridiculous, to the point where GCM had to flat-out say "No more Pokemon."
We were trying to avoid that this time, but it didn't seem to be a problem this time. Seems that as the quality standard jumped, we saw fewer thrown-together, under-detailed movesets for everyone's favorite Pokemon.
Meh. I dunno. I hope it will stay with an acceptable amount of Pokemon.
Also, check out Social Groups for Guntz' SSE boss Janga plox. <3
I'm almost completely finished with him already. All I need
is love
is the victory jingle, the logo, the trophies and the stage. At least everything but the trophies I'll most likely do tonight at home or maybe tomorrow at work. \o/
Things didn't get anywhere close to out-of-hand this time, though, so I don't think we'll have a problem with it. If it gets to a point where there are too many Pokemon entries, we'll deal with the problem then. But I just don't see us having to do that.
Technically I'm just barely in-weight, considering my stupid height.
Iron Thorn's sent me her Super Votes, but is still working on the 40 normal ones. Just for the record. And I'll go ahead and PM SkylerOcon, MarthTrinity, smashbot226, and Eternal Smasher.
@PKSkyler: You really should get to voting, man...
@DORKserenade: If you don't feel like figuring out GIMP (which does take a tad of getting used to), MS Paint really does work fine, so long as you can find a picture small enough that has a background you feel is fine. All you have to do is use a 1-pixel brush/pencil to draw that border and text.
And if you ARE having trouble finding a correctly-sized picture (scaling things in Paint WILL NOT WORK), and still don't want to dive into GIMP, here's a neat little trick:
While looking at your picture in Windows' standard preview window (or even on the internet, where you found it), zoom out to the point where you feel is a good scale (in other words, to the point where you wouldn't have to resize the image at all). Now press ALT and Prnt Scrn (Print Screen), assuming your keyboard has it. It should be up near your Num Lock/Page Up/Page Down/Insert/Delete keys.
Now go into Paint, and paste your clipboard. Voila, you now have a perfectly to-scale image that you only need crop down to the correct size and add text.
Basically Alt+Prnt Scrn takes a snapshot of everything on your screen. Very handy loophole for scaling things without blurring them in the process.
@Spade Fawks: Post a link, and I'll check it out. I'm thinking you're talking about the 2D bonus stage with all the weird floating candy, or less likely the 3D red/blue ball one.
Mendez overweight? Uh-oh, do I see somebody CHALLENGING me for title of MYM Fatty? DO I?
(Disclaimer: Do not start calling me this or else I will be very sad/POed)
I want so very badly to make a moveset for Rosalyn (Okage), but I've only seen my best friend play it, and I don't have a PS2 (my d@mn dirty brother took it to his frat) so it'd practically be of her making.
And THE KING, I'm doing Breloom, Milotic, and an improved Typhlosion, possibly among others. I might do an Absol. Absol, despite being the emo kid's Pokemon, IS pretty ballin'. Oh yes, I can see it now...*grin* And Ampharos too.

And are you seriouly that much of a fatty Mendez? Can't really trust you what with you having claimed to be into men and Iron Thorn being your secret indentity. . .PICS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN.
The stage should be one actually in Smash IMO to make it feel more like they're in the actual game.

Consider that the average ideal weight for a large-framed, 6'4" male is around 220 lbs. For every inch, add 10 pounds on to that.
Now, I have yet to see a BMI chart that goes far enough up in height to apply to me, but assuming that formula holds true forever, the ideal weight for someone of my height would be around 290 lbs. So yeah, I suppose I'm a little overweight, but only by ten or twenty pounds. AND THAT'S ALL MUSCLE BABY
Oh trust me, 'Warlord's well aware of how I feel about the length of (most of) his stuff. As long as the move warrants it, I don't mind reading it really, but what I'm talking about are all those beastly extras that Donna had.

I decided early on to basically cut all but 3 or 4 extras out of my own sets, though I'm actively trying to shorten the actual moves as well. My reasoning for this is basically: most of the characters people do here only have like one or two fans, so most of the time an author is just wasting their time writing up paragraphs upon paragraphs of "SSE Roles" and "Trophies" and "Wii Remote Sounds".
Nothing against people who are still doing all that, but I just think my 'sets will be better without the baggage, especially considering some of the characters I'm doing.
WHOOOOA! Mendez is a giant! And I'm just a little person... *is 5'11 and skinny* And what is this "best Pokemon in the games" of which you speak?
Junahu, that's a really epic icon. Seriously, that's as good as they could get. And I definitely look forward to the moveset itself.
Iron Thorn, YAAAAAAAY! Breloom, Milotic, ABSOL?? Sweeeeeet. If they're as good as Froslass, I'll be happy. And by the way, have you voted yet?
And I don't foresee us having any problems with the Pokemon thing in MYM 4. When you look at how many people even made TWO Pokemon sets in this one... you could count them on one hand.
*Tries to think of a wii remotes sound that would take a paragraph to describe*
But I do agree in a way, A lot of Grievous' taunts and win poses come from Star Wars Battlefront 2 and the Clone Wars cartoon, so you'd need to be familiar with those to fully appreciate Grievous' extras. Still, writing SSE roles is helping me develop how I should write my own SSE in MYM4, and sometimes a character's animations write themselves. Nack actually has his own signature tripping animation from his first appearence. >_>
@K.Rool: So has the limit on pokemon move sets been lifted then?
