I said you're putting the town at risk, and you are.

I agree that I normally wouldn't expect four mafia in a game like this, but there's no other way that Tom's attack on me makes sense. I know my alignment, so I know that either Tom is a crazy cop (a role I've never actually seen in a mafia game), or that he's trying to get a townie lynched as quickly as possible. Normally, a quick lynch like that would incriminate any mafia who participated in it, unless they didn't have to worry about being incriminated because they were guaranteed to win before anyone actually had time to act on it.

So, yeah. Either you actually are mafia (in which case your vote makes sense), or you're putting a townie victory in grave jeopardy.

I don't see what harm there is in unvoting me. There is absolutely no potential for any negative consequence to come out of it, even if I'm mafia, provided you maintain some reasonable level of activity in the game and can revote promptly.

From what I know, there is likely to be potential harm in simply keeping your vote on me until the entire town talks about it and decides on a course of action. You could precipitate a mafia pile-on.

Agreed, we need to see if there are any counters to Tom's claim. If there isn't I would go with Tom's medi lynch. I haven't seen anything scummy from him yet, so I'm inclined to believe him, plus Medi was the absolute LAST to name-claim, which is relatively scummy

My response is that I investigate someone every night for their alignment and come up with either town or mafia result. Night 1 I investigated Handorin because I thought the answers that he gave to my questions were full of suspect, he seemed to flip flop on his opinion of random.org. But he came up town, so no dice. Night 2 I investigated Mediocre because I thought he was playing the 'remain almost neutral, be very factual' facade, and I was correct.

I doubt that I am a crazy cop, because those are in games with straight up other cops.

Well, considering I am town I am naturally inclined to believe Tom, but it's also easy to say I'm town and try and get someone else lynched.

Also, Kevin's claim seems pretty believable because of the flavor hint things. So I'm pretty sure a vote on Medi is the way to go.

Medi- Hellhouse mafia had a miller.

It also appears there is still a SK since there were two deaths. So we still need to be extra careful about that. At this point, if Medi isnt the last mafia and actually is town, we will probably lose to mafia OR lose to the SK or possibly a joint win.

Unfortunately for me, I think every currently active player has posted since Tom claimed cop.

Either the real cop isn't claiming, Tom really is the cop and somehow got a mafia result on me (which would make some sense, except for certain reasons I'll mention later in this post), or Tom's mafia but there is no other cop to counter claim.

Sadly, I don't see any of these scenarios as believable enough that they would dissuade anyone from voting for me, although I know one of them must be true. I know I wouldn't buy my argument if I were one of the other players in this game.

In an effort to provide the town with as much information as possible before my seemingly inevitable lynch, I'm a paranoid doctor. Paranoid doctors both roleblock and protect their target from being killed. The effects also last into the following day.

The first night, I protected/totally blocked Tom, which is another reason I know he's lying about his role. The second night, I protected/blocked KevinM, which may have been what caused his investigation of Tom to fail.

I honestly think the town is screwed at this point, but I've done everything I could do to turn it around. Now there's not much more for me to do than to wait for the final verdict.

You really don't have any actual evidence against me, other than your word. You haven't pointed out any single thing that was scummy about me, except your supposed guilty investigation.

People believed you because you claimed to be a cop, and they figured that if you were lying, someone would counter claim you.

The same logic now applies to me.

Moreover, I frankly don't see how Zelda is a cop. I could believe a vigilante, or perhaps a character with a variety of one shot powers (related to her magic abilities in the SSB games), but I never saw Zelda or her alter ego Sheik as much of an investigator.

It's a reasonable match. With her premonition, and cases like OOT when she knew Ganondorf was evil, it would be reasonable. As for our situation, I would like to ask Kevin if he is able to use multiple shots a day. Perhaps we need to have Kevin use one of his role vials on either Tom or Medi, hope to get a hit, and see which is lying(as it is now guaranteed one of them is doing so)

this is sort of depressing, i roleclaimed with a guilty and there have been three votes. Im not saying you have to vote immediately without discussion, but there really hasnt been discussion either.

I'm going to bring up another topic. Im going to assume that if the masons recruit mafia, they die. I'm also going to assume that there is another mason out there, or two out there, besides Omis. I think they should mason Handorin tonight, because he was my inno N1.

Honestly right now that's the biggest deciding factor in me believing Tom more right now, just because of that change from he may be real to he's definitely lying.

Actually, I'd say that logically the two decisions are pretty equal.

At this point, it should come down to who you trust more (not as a person, but as a player in this particular game). If that's Tom, there's not much I can do to change it.

Because I don't give anything away until it needs to be revealed.

Tom might have some kind of night ability. If he did, and he tried to use it night one, he would have known it was blocked. If I'd said, "I know he's lying for reasons I can't reveal yet, just trust me on this one," no one would have believed me, and Tom would have been able to figure out that I was the town roleblocker, which would have made me worth killing even if he didn't know I was the doctor.

At that point, I was still holding out hope for a cop counterclaim. If I'd seen this situation coming, I would have said something along those lines, if only to make my current claim more believable.
