Luigi's Mansion won't load?

If this is in the wrong section, someone please move it.

I saw a thread about this and tried searching for it, but the search function wasn't working for me. :p

Anyway, I was playing against a Level 8 Luigi as Snake. I tried to play on Luigi's Mansion today, and everytime I selected it, my game would freeze. I read about something like this in another thread before. It was something around the lines of "If you are using the infinite stage builder parts code on Gecko OS, then you could end up losing the ability to play on Luigi's Mansion. Also, music won't play on Delfino Plaza."

I never used the Infinite Parts Code, but I downloaded three stages that did. I went to Delfino Plaza, and the music didn't play. So I ended the game and took out my SD Card (which has the three stages on it). I went back to Delfino Plaza and the music worked. So I tried to load Luigi's Mansion and it still didn't work!

So, is there a way to fix this? Or am I doomed to have only 40 stages? Also, I'd prefer it if there was a way that did NOT include deleting my file, because I just got every CD.

I also think there was someting about Mushroomy Kingdom in the thread I saw too, but I can't remember. Does this affect Mushroomy Kingdom also?

I've never heard of such a thing.
Do you think it's maybe the game disc that has the problem?

And if the infinite parts glitch is still affecting Luigi's Mansion after you took it out, then I'd assume it's a permanent problem.
Sorry for not being so helpful, it'll still bump this thread up.

Good luck!

I did notice the disk had some smudges on it. I'll try to clean it.

Well, everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but I love Luigi's Mansion.

So, if it's the disk, do I just have to clean it?

It could be something that is wrong with the game now in the coding. Unlikely but possible. Some person had Pokemon Trainer never work on their Brawl disc. I think you might want to clean it and make sure your Wii disc reader is clean (Brawl is harder to read than the average Wii disc, because it uses a lot more memory).

Use this and see how it goes. Since Delfino is fixed I'm not going to bother.

Homebrew itself will never cause this problem simply by existing.

Oh, I get it now.

Then how did Delfino Plaza load?
Who knows?

Glitches aren't the most sensible things in programming. All it takes is one error to cause a bunch that accumulate.

Think of it as the butterfly effect. It's sometimes too complex to bother explaining.

Let's just say you're lucky. ?_?

It depends on the codes you used.

Character Modifiers
Stage Modifiers (SOME stages, not all of them)
My Music Modifier

Basically, anything that can mess up the My Music can and has a potential ability to corrupt it. My Music Modifier only corrupts if you don't know how to use it right and you try to use it but, it ends up being wrong. Character Modifier, mostly Alloys and Independent PT (though, these are fixed if you use the Alloys & others don't cause corruption) code with the character modifier you want to use.

All in all, just be careful of what you use and have a backed up save file on hand (use Gecko OS's rebooter + nocopy flag if you're on 3.3 or below, it won't work otherwise for users with 3.3 from Oct. 23rd and 3.4).

I remember this exact thing happening to me. My Luigi's Mansion and Mushroomy Kingdom wouldn't load and Delfino Plaza had no background music. Music fixers did the trick.

The post above is correct. It is NOT your disk. The stages you downloaded probably took up too much data because of too many parts, and that ate away at your music files.

Alright. To be safe I'm gonna delete the hacked stages, too. I never use them, anyway.

Actually, one time on a different stage my game just froze up. I have never hacked my game or done anything of the sort to damage it, either. It worried me but it hasn't happened since. Go figure.

I remember having this problem, really sucked because I loved Luigi's Mansion and my Wii froze sometime while waiting for a Basic Brawl..... Gotta be less reckless with hacks XD

Yea just load the Delfino, Luigi's Mansion and Mushroomy Kingdom music reset codes then play a match so the game can save. Problem Solved.

Homebrew won't do anything. It happens if you do anything that would screw with the My Music section.

I used the individual Pokémon code. I noticed it also screwed up my name. It went from Riko to Ri[][]. Sucks, too, my name was on the bottom, now it's on the top!

Oh well.
