If it wasn't for the two of them dieing, I wouldn't have liked this episode very much. Everything seemed tacked on, and the series as a whole could have run just as well without the two of them. I have no idea why they were even on the show. Unless there's something from seasons one and two that I'm missing, Paula and Nikki were wastes of characters.
Well, that's kind of the point. Assuming that Nikki and TASG (Paulo, aka "Take a **** Guy") are dead, which I don't believe for a second, the episode was mostly fanservice. I'm not sure how aware you are of it, but fans universally hated Nikki and TASG. Mostly because their introduction was too abrupt, they contributed nothing (except TASG going to the Pearl's bathroom), and they were boring compared to everything else. Hence, why the writers just offed the both of them.

I thought the episode was enjoyable in a kind of murder-mystery kind of way (better than Hurley's joy-ride episode), although I'm miffed that again, the show revealed absolutely nothing important. It's interesting to note that right before Nikki got bit by the spiders, you could hear the distinctive smoke-monster chittering.

And the ending was superb and disturbing. I'm absolutely TERRIFIED of the concept of being buried alive--reading Poe's "Fall of the House of Usher" freaked me out as a kid, and last night's ending scared the bejeezus out of me. Darn Poe.

It was a okay episode. Certainly a twist ending, and it did tie up a few loose ends in the previous episodes, like who was in the Pearl. And I like the subtle foreshadowing when Niki asks whether she and Paulo will end up like Shannon and Boone (dead on the island).

I'm confused by this sentence. Why do you believe that the two of them aren't dead? They were burried alive.

I dont watch LOST waiting for some unexpected turn of events and revelation which is why I like the show a lot more than my friends. I think each episode should be what it is, and dont really care all that much about the whole island mystery plot.

This episode was brilliant in the way it capitalized on their deaths. Their eyes were open the whole time! Agh! That's the freakiest thing ever. That's the kind of stuff that makes me watch LOST.

It's a shame that it took his death to make me like Paulo. I hated him and Nikki before, but Paulo was darn cool in this episode. Nikki pretty much sucked still. Good bye, Paulo.

Very hard to believe!

Anyways, last night's episode was pretty good, but it left me wanting more. Idunno why, but I felt dissatisfied with last night. I do like how Juliet finally told us the bit of info they new about the smoke. "We don't know what it is, but we know it doesn't like our fences." Cool.

So, our the survivors gonna start living at that village? That seems like the smartest thing to do, in my opinion. Houses, electricity. It just seems perfect.

Oh, and next week's episode will be great if Juliet starts explaining things.

What a TERRIBLE episode. The flashback was totally pointless, the jungle scenes could have been done in 5 minutes, and Hurley screwed over Sawyer so he could be nice?

Very pathetic.

Aw shucks. I liked it.

I hate Kate so I didn't really like the flashbacks, but maybe that's why I enjoyed this episode as a whole. It totally showed why Juliet>Kate. (First scene made me lol)

I'm guessing that Juliet's going to die pretty soon. She isn't really a part of the Others (though we dont know for sure yet), and she can never truely part of the society at the beach. Romeo and Juliet, anyone? I also noticed how the Monster went right for her, but I dont really know enough about that to form a hypothesis. Oh, and the monster was too stupid to go OVER the fence. >_>

I'm guessing Jack does soon as well. Again, it's the whole Romeo and Juliet thing. This episode showed a lot about how Sawyer should be the leader with Jack gone which makes me think he will be. I still think Juliet and Jack are with the Others. Why else would Kate and Juliet be handcuffed together withing walking distance to the Other's camp? Why did it take Jack so long to wake up from the gas? Ben planned for them all to go back to the beach.

I'm now guessing there is more than one Monster on the Island. It may even be a good one. I cant see any other reason as to why it didn't kill Juliet and Kate when they were in the trees.

Edit: And were the sonic fences there before they found out about the Monster or not? They could either have built them to keep it out, or perhaps it was all just a fluke.

I was under the impression that they found them there (Juliet said something to the effect of "We don't know what it is, but it doesn't like the fences")

And am I the only one sensing some Juliet-Jack chemistry here? Since Jack saw Kate sleep with Sawyer I think he (at least temporarily) kicked her appeal out of his mind.

I also feel that Juliet really isn't an Other any more; at every instance she's shown to hate Ben, there was even signs of hate when Paolo secretly saw them in the hatch.

I really hope that there is more than one monster on the island. I mean come on, it's a freaking black cloud that's killing them! That's almost the lamest way to die, except for maybe getting hit in the head with a coconut. I hope that there is a different monster. At this point I don't care what it is, just as long as it is not another freakin cloud.

Yeah I thought that they'll start to move in to that place...
the thing i didn't get was the "flashes" from the creature. I'm really digging the whole "no breaks" thing though.

Next week is gonna be good

Oh heck no. I think we all see it, and I for one am rooting for it to happen. Normally I dont actually look forward to television characters getting together, but I dont like Kate at all. I thought he started liking her even before he saw Kate with Sawyer.

I haven't really decided wether Juliet is with them or not. It's so confusing. If she is an Other reject, though, it would make her death which I'm foreseeing all the more tragic.

I think the Black Smoke cloud Monster thing is some sort of Island projection defense. Up till now I haven't really thought about there being more than one, or a good one, for that matter.

Edit: I just remembered the part where Julian and Kate fall in the mud for absolutely no reason. Fan service... How lame.:p

Crimson King, I think you have to take what you can get, when it comes to Lost. Lost is essentially a (very slow) character-driven TV show that has brief glimpses of awesome glory (Desmond's episode a few weeks ago, and Jack's episode 3.1), mixed in with boring, generalized crap.

In any case, this week's was okay. Usually, Kate's flashbacks are just plain awful, but this one was something I could stomach. The real redeeming thing was, of course, Smoke-zilla being stopped by the sonic fence. That, and Locke being converted to the Others' side.

I swear, if the Losties don't move to the Others' abandoned village, I WILL GET PISSED. You have a friggin' community with houses, furniture, electricity, running water, all enclosed by a high-protection sonic fence, that happens to be ripe for the taking. There's no reason to stay on the beach when you have that kind of opportunity.

The monster was created by Dharma. If you look at the map in Season 2 on the blast chamber door, there are vents placed by Dharma where it probably escapes from. This means, it existed either with them, or because of them.

The monster is a security device, like a turret of sorts. Don't expect it to be good or evil. It really only kills evil people, as it didn't kill Locke when it had the chance.

There will be a 70s, Dharma episode pretty soon, btw.

Eric, I hope what you said about Dharma and the monster was speculation

I liked last episode, though I hated the one before it. Niki and Paulo were both useless, I'm upset they were even brought on. Mistakes.

It was on the map so they obviously had a reason for the vents and they are spread through out the island, such as where the monster has attacked. Check out any of the Lost sites for info on it.

I see that as speculation, actually. They just had vents, and mentions of a Cerebus system. Course, that probably is the Monster, but since it's not definite, I don't see it as being necessarily true. I mean, up until a few episodes, almost everyone would have thought the Others where Dharma, and we found out they're not.

Oh, and I was disappointed in the Mikail character. It would have been so **** interesting if he really was the last Dharma member alive, I don't see why they made up that plot, then not use it.

I had extreme deja vu this week.

Jack's return was identical to Michael, Jin, and Sawyer's return in Season 2. Juliet is an other posing as a good person as Ben did in Season 2. It's pretty sad. Oh well, 5 more episodes of this terrible season. Maybe they will get back on track.

Updated with some spoilers:
04/09 - After discovering that all of "The Others'" pregnant women died before giving birth on the island, an extremely reticent Sun allows Juliet to examine her -- and uncovers the identity of the unborn child's father. Meanwhile, Desmond allows an unlikely nemesis to help save the life of a new, mysterious island inhabitant. Guest starring are Byron Chung as Mr. Paik, Andrew Divoff as Mikhail, Marsha Thomason as Naomi, John Shin as Mr. Kwon, Alexis Rhee as older woman, Esmond Chung as Paik's associate and Jean Chung as Paik's secretary.

03/05 - I'm pretty sure [the new female regular is] a subterranean character. Damon and Carlton seemed to admit there's a whole underground contingency on the island in the latest Lost Redux video clip.

03/30 - According to Cuse, the Locke/Daddy arc will pay off in episode 19, which airs on May 2.

03/23 - Looks like episode #320 is 'hippie-centric' with a flashback to the '70's. Features Horace, a scientist/mathematician and Olivia an attractive elementary school teacher. Both embody a 'hippie' idealism. Olivia may show up later in other episodes. Source: secretagentman @ TWoP [Note: It seems that Horace and Olivia are fake names. Some fans think that those two characters could be the DeGroots.]

04/03 - As for the fate of Charlie, in episode 21, his next flashback, looks like there are two females characters playing cops (or something similar), one of whom is "about nailing the perp to the wall, no matter how you do it..." There's also a blue-collar family—a father and two sons—all with Mancunian accents. (Residents of Manchester, England, are called Mancunians.) All three members of the family are "required to swim in a pool," which makes me worry a little bit about drowning.

03/19 - [I'm hearing that Charlie will die.] Source: Kristin on E!Online

04/11 - It's looking like the finale will be Jack-centric.

04/09 - The casting call for the final two hours of season three includes a single mother, a doctor, a mortician, a pharmacist and a stewardess. The pharmacist and the stewardess are hardasses, the doc is a chief-of-staff, the single mother is tired and the mortician is kind of depressed.

03/30 - Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz reveal: Hurley will be playing a central part in the finale.

04/06 - Lost Spoilers offers us a summary of the spoilers Cuse and Lindelof revealed in the latest podcast: Juliet probably knows more about the monster; Rousseau will get a flashback at some point.

Take it for what it's worth.

Wow, Crimson, it seems like you're just not that enthralled by LOST. I'm not sure about you, but I thought this episode was pretty amazing. The actual number of answers that were revealed, the integration of Juliet's past into what we've already seen, the revelation about her real motivations. . .it was all very well done.

Juliet's posing as one of the Losties is nothing like Ben in season 2, mostly because she has an actual connection to Jack who'll vouch for her integrity, and she's extremely sympathetic to their cause, because she want to get off the island as much as everyone else.

If nothing else, this episode proved that Juliet has thrown her lot in with the Losties--it made clear (even despite the last few minutes of the episode) that her obligation to Ben, who's repeatedly manipulated her, is far surpassed by her desire to go home. In that respect, I'm 100% positive that she's going to betray the Others in the near future.

Lost has been consistently delivering awesome episodes recently. Well, barring the Hurley Van episode.

My opinion is more in line with Maelstrom's: I thought the episode was rather good and leads into so many intriguing possibilities in terms of betrayals and development.

And I also think Juliet will betray the Others: the only thing she really cares about is getting off the island (as shown by her numerous interactions with Ben). We know that Ben doesn't want to leave the island and that he even recruited Locke because he also wants to stay on the Island. Juliet, in my opinion, is trying to manipulate (or exact revenge) on Ben. In terms of the plans that Ben already gave her, if she didn't follow them, she would not be able to fit in with the survivors so she had to do it, whether or not she is going to betray Ben.

I would expect her to betray Ben before the season finale.

*SPOILER ALERT*

Wednesdays's episode summary:

Kate, Sayid, Juliet, and Jack trek back to the beach camp. As they stop for the night Jack explains to Kate the deal he made with Ben, saying that he kept his head down and did not ask questions. Though Jack is talking to her, Kate feels an emotional distance between them. Sayid questions Juliet but Jack returns and tells Sayid to leave her alone and that she is under his protection. Juliet confesses to Jack that she is nervous about joining the beach camp.

Flashback to Juliet arriving at a private airport. Richard Alpert and Ethan Rom are there to escort her the rest of the way, claiming it is because of security. Juliet says good-bye to her sister, Rachel, promising to be back before the baby is born. In the airport terminal, Ethan checks Juliet's vitals, telling her it is routine. Alpert pours sedative into a glass of orange juice and gives it to Juliet to drink, saying some people cannot take the trip's intensity and that it is easier if she is asleep during it. Juliet says she was fine with signing all the paperwork, not being able to talk with anyone for six months, and that no one had ever heard of Mittelos BioSience at which point Alpert interrupts and tells her she was fine with it because she knows the place they are taking her is special. Juliet has a gift, with which she is supposed to do something significant. Juliet drinks the orange juice and passes out. She wakes up strapped down in the sleeping compartment of a submarine. Ethan unstraps her, and she follows him through the submarine, up the ladder and sees the awe-inspiring sight of the island.

At the beach camp, Charlie hears Aaron crying and wakes up Claire. Claire says she is not feeling well, so Charlie offers to take care of Aaron. Sawyer sees Jack, Kate, and Sayid returning. Though happy about their return he expresses his displeasure at seeing Juliet. Hurley engages Juliet in casual conversation. Juliet guesses that Hurley was sent to keep an eye on her. He tells her the last Other who came over, Ethan, was killed and buried nearby.

Flashback to Juliet talking to Ben. She tells him she thinks the pregnancy complications to the females on the island happen at conception, but there is nothing she can do about it unless she takes a woman off the island; Ben promptly replies no. Juliet tells him she has done all she can and wants to go home since Rachel will give birth in three months. Ben says she will be dead by then because her cancer has returned. Juliet is horrified. Ben promises to cure Rachel's cancer if Juliet stays. Juliet wants to know how. Ben says Jacob will take care of it himself.

At the camp, Jack tells everyone that he trusts Juliet and that should be enough, to which Sayid reminds him it is not. Jack defends his time with the Others saying he was there looking for a way off the island. Then Claire collapses. Juliet takes Jack and Kate aside and tells them she knows what's wrong with Claire because she did it to her.

Flashback to Juliet in bed with Goodwin. There is a knock on the door and she is given x-rays. Juliet looks at them and knows they have a problem. She walks to Ben's house and tells him he has a tumor. She accuses him of lying about curing Rachel's cancer, saying he cannot cure her cancer if he cannot cure his own. Ben denies lying and says he does not understand why he has cancer. Juliet desperately wants to go home, but he refuses to let her go.

At the camp, Juliet explains that Claire's immune system has turned on her due to a latent reaction to medication in her bloodstream. The medication was designed to keep Claire alive during the late stages of her pregnancy. Juliet knows this because she designed it. She was brought to the island to find out why women couldn't have children there. The mother's body treats the pregnancy as a foreign invader and the immune system attacks; every pregnant woman on the island died as her immune system began to die. Claire was the first to survive but even though she did not conceive on the island, Claire developed the same symptoms. Juliet had developed the serum to reverse what was happening and Ethan was giving it to her. Without the serum, Claire is in a form of withdrawal. Ethan kept a stash of the serum close by.
Juliet goes out into the jungle and retrieves the serum (it is hidden under the tree with a strange sign on it). Sayid and Sawyer have followed, and they want answers. Juliet tells them there is not time. Realizing they are not going to budge, she stands up to them and says she finds it interesting that they are the camp's moral police, considering what Sayid did in Basra and how Sawyer shot a man in cold blood the day before he boarded the plane. She says the serum can save Claire's life. The last thing they would want is Claire's blood on their hands. She takes the serum back to the beach and gives it to Jack. He warns her that if anything happens to Claire, he will not be able to protect her any longer.

Flashback to Juliet and Ben as they watch flight 815 break apart above them. Ben then leads Juliet out to the Flame station. Mikhail is there, and Ben tells him he wants detailed files on every passenger. Then Mikhail brings up a live video feed. They see a close-up of a newspaper with the current date (Which, it shows the date to be "Wednesday September 22 2004" The date of the crash). The camera swings around and reveals Rachel in a park with her 2-year-old son. Ben tells Juliet that Rachel's cancer was cured, that it went into complete remission and shortly thereafter she gave birth to a boy named Julian.
At the camp, Claire wakes up. She is feeling and looking much better. Juliet is now on the path to being trusted.

Jack brings her supplies to set up her tent area and tells her eventually everyone will need answers. Juliet asks why Jack trusts her and does not ask for answers. He says because when the submarine exploded, he saw in her eyes that she wanted to get off this island more than anything. That makes her "one of us."
There is a flashback to Juliet and Ben discussing their plans. Juliet will handcuff herself to Kate and say she was gassed and left behind as well. If Kate questions that, Juliet will say it was the only way to earn Kate's trust. Ben tells Juliet that Claire's implant has been activated, and she will become symptomatic in forty-eight hours. By the time Juliet gets to the camp, she will have a "nice crisis to solve". Pryce is already on his way to hide the case in Ethan's old drop point. Ben tells her to tell Jack she can save Claire since Jack trusts her. He says he will see her in a week. Then he throws a gas mask on the table and leaves.
Back at camp, as Juliet looks around and sees Hurley and Sun talking, Charlie with Claire, and Jack smiling at her. She smiles back.

And next week's episode:

Desmond coaxes Charlie, Hurley and Jin on a trek across the jungle after experiencing one of his future-prophesizing "flashes" -- but is he purposely placing Charlie's life in harm's way? Meanwhile, Kate turns to an unwitting Sawyer after seeing Jack alone with Juliet.

And the week after:

After learning that the Others' pregnant woman died before giving birth on the island, Sun allows Juliet to examine her; Desmond allows an unlikely nemesis to help save the life of a new, mysterious island inhabitant. Jin becomes aware of the identity of the father of Sun's baby.

Wow. Desmond's flashbacks are consistently good and entertaining, especially compared to the recent Jack and Kate and Hurley crapfests we've been seeing. And even though the episode really accomplished nothing (a new character, supposedly called "Naomi" arrives which took all of 2 minutes), Desmond's flashback was just incredible.

I mean, seeing his constant inability to face his fears, his private struggle to conquer the rejection that he constantly faces. . .and especially the last part, where his first meeting with Penny is superimposed over his desperate hope that he can finally see her again. Powerful stuff.

And did anyone else notice that the Abbot had a picture on his desk that showed himself and the same white-haired woman that "guided" Desmond during his time-trip to pre-island days?

Actually, I did catch that and swore it was going to come into play at some time :(

I want the Jack-Juliet-Ben plans to come to light, hopefully before the season ends.

Finally a non-boring episode. I love the chemistry between Desmond and Charlie. They really work well together. I also loved Jin's telling of the ghost story. Very, very cool.

I'm a bit meh about Naomi. I can pretty guarantee her story will be "I was flying where they said you were last reported, black out, and I crash landed" or something of that nature, which sucks. 4 more episodes.

It's good to actually see Desmond in real action again. His premonitions were kinda boring before this episode.

I liked the flashbacks. Good episode. This Naomi character had better do something cool. I'm thinking she'll be just as boring as CK described, but I hope I'm wrong.

I imagine Naomi is going to be completely worthless. I mean even when their is an "other" in their camp they still don't give up any answers. But at least the episode was entertaining.

That's what I have a problem with. They said the islands biggest mysteries would be revealed last week, which was either the purpose of the Flame or the whole Ethan scenario. Neither was as epic as I hoped and it seems with 4 episodes left, one being a 70s flashback to explain what happened with Dharma, one being the two hour finale (FINALLY 2 hours), and one being an episode we just had basically (Sun is pregnant and all that stuff) that leaves one episode left, which is Charlie's episode and we know what will happen there. So that leads me to believe we won't get as many answers as we were promised. Go figure.

As for the arc they created with Juliet staying in the Losties camp for a week, the episodes take place anywhere from a single day to a few days. I think last night's episode had only one change from day to night, and that first day was the continuation of when Juliet was standing under the shack so that was just two days out of her "week". Taking out the retro episode, if they average 2 days per hour (let's not count the fact that the first day was the second day of the previous episode) we will hit the week ending in the second hour of the season finale. Hmm...

I started watching lost because I was told all this random **** makes sense, and I desperately wanted to know how. Now people being able to see the future, pregnant women dying randomly, and a giant magical box in the middle of an island... All I have to say is thank god heroes starts Monday.

...and with the end of today's episode, another "WTF?!" moment has been added to the growing list of questions. Looks like next week's episode will be about Locke confronting his dad along with Sawyer. It should be interesting.

Recap:

Sun learns the identity of her unborn child's father after Juliet examines her, while Desmond allows an unlikely enemy to help save the life of another mysterious island inhabitant.
Sun works in her garden.Jack joins her and asks questions about her pregnancy. Routine check-up questions at first and then he asks if there's been any bleeding. Jack maintains he's just checking in, but Sun is clearly disturbed. Sun goes to Kate and asks if she thinks Jack seems different since he's come back. She believes Jack may be working for the Others. She tells Kate that Jack was asking about her baby, and she is worried the Others want it. Kate insists Jack's not working with the Others. Sun is suspicious that Kate knows more. Reluctantly, Kate tells her that Juliet was the Others' fertility doctor and they wanted Claire's baby for research.Sun immediately goes to Juliet and demands answers. Juliet reveals women who get pregnant on the island die. Sun is horrified.
Flashback to Seoul, Korea, and Sun talking on her cell phone with Jin. They've just moved into their new apartment, and Sun strolls through a park holding shopping bags. After she tells Jin "I love you madly" and hangs up, an older woman asks if she's the woman in a wedding announcement in the paper.
Sun says yes. The older woman asks how Sun hid the truth about Jin from her father. If it were known that the daughter of a Paik married the son of a fisherman and a prostitute, it would bring much shame on Sun's family. She demands $100,000 in three days. If Sun loves Jin as "madly" as she says, she'll spare him the shame of the truth being exposed.
One the island, the parachute woman wakes up and mumbles that she's dying. They find a tree branch impaled up through her chest. Charlie wants to simply pull the branch out of her chest, but Desmond says no, that might cause more damage. They argue about whether to take her to the camp or run and bring back Jack when - KA-POOF! Hurley fires a flare gun he found in the woman's pack. Suddenly Mikhail bursts out of the jungle. But the moment Mikhail sees the group, he bolts. Jin tackles him, and they drag him back.
At the beach camp, Juliet tells Sun there may be hope for her yet. Sun agrees to follow Juliet to the medical station where Juliet will try to ascertain the date of conception.
Sun wants to know why Juliet is helping her. Juliet tells her she used to give women good news about their pregnancies and see the happiness on their faces. However, in the last three years she's lost nine women on the island. She wants to give good news again. Sun admits that she slept with another man before she got to the island and fears the baby is not Jin's but the other man's. Juliet's only comment is we all make mistakes.
Flashback to a small Korean fishing village. Sun approaches an elderly man and asks if he is Mr.Kwon. He instantly knows who she is and invites her into his modest house. He explains that Jin's mother was with many men. She left him with the baby, and he didn't even know if he was the father. He raised Jin as his own because who else would care for Jin? He implores Sun to never tell Jin his mother is still alive. He tells her Jin would never recover from the shame. Sun decides to go to her father and ask for the hundred thousand dollars. Mr.Paik wants to know why she needs it, but Sun refuses to tell him.
For the past 27 years, she's pretended not to know what he does, and if he gives her the money she'll continue to pretend. Paik gives her the money, but his price is that Jin has to work off the debt. He'll work for Paik personally. Sun immediately knows the implications. It's a deal with the devil, but she takes it and seals Jin's fate.
On the island, the parachute woman mumbles again that she's dying. Mikhail offers his services as an ex-army medic to save her but only in exchange for safe passage to leave. Desmond agrees, but Charlie, Jin and Hurley are very wary of the deal. Mikhail examines her, and says the branch has punctured her lung, which is filling with blood. She needs to be ventilated immediately. Using supplies from their first aid kit, Mikhail evacuates her lungs and rips the branch out of her chest. As he bandages her up, she mumbles something in another language. Desmond asks what she said. Mikhail takes a beat and says that she said thank you. Desmond doesn't quite buy it, and neither do Jin, Charlie and Hurley.
As the parachute woman falls asleep, Mikhail says she'll be better in a day. They keep their agreement and allow Mikhail to leave - but Jin realizes Mikhail has stolen the sat-phone. He tackles Mikhail and takes it back. Desmond lets Mikhail go over Charlie's protests.
In the medical station, Juliet reveals a secret room behind the locker area. This is where they stored all the medical equipment from the station. Sun asks why the room was hidden, and Juliet admits they brought the women there to die. Worried, Sun tells Juliet Jin was infertile so the baby couldn't be his. Juliet performs an ultrasound and determines the D.O.C.was 53 days ago. Sun got pregnant on the island. Sun immediately knows what that means. Juliet promises to do whatever she can but Sun is smiling. The baby is Jin's.
Flashback to Sun and Jin's Seoul apartment. Jin returns home and finds the cash Mr.Paik gave her. Sun lies and says it was to buy new furniture and have a nice honeymoon. Jin wants her to return it. He says he'll take care of her no matter what.
Sun nods, but leaves to meet the older woman. Sun gives her the money and warns her never to come near her family or Jin again or she'll have the older woman killed. The older woman understands and hurries off.
On the island, Sun asks Juliet how long she has. Juliet says most of the women made it to the middle of their second trimester. That gives Sun two months. Juliet goes back inside to double check the results and to cover their tracks. Inside, she opens one of the lockers and takes out a tape recorder. She clicks it on and then records a message to Ben: Kwon is pregnant and conceived on the island. She should have Kate's and the other women's samples soon. She clicks stop and then mutters, "I hate you."
Charlie and Jin build a makeshift stretcher. Charlie tells Desmond you can't trust the Others. They should've killed Mikhail. But Desmond points out that by his count they have killed more of the Others than the Others have killed of them. Charlie doesn't see it that way. Hurley tries the sat-phone again, but it's still broken.
Then the parachute woman wakes up. Hurley explains they are the survivors of the Oceanic flight 815 crash. Naomi is confused and says it's not possible. Flight 815 was found and there were no survivors. They were all dead.

And I thought
Mikhail was dead. Didn't Locke kill him?
