Continuing from above, something I forgot to mention yesterDay (I think) is worth bringing up. We were talking about how it was looking like Gorf was anticipating a scumzenflame flip and maneuvering for his next play. What I forgot to suggest yesterday was the likelihood that Gorf was setting himself up as the endgamer.

Think about it. Gorf had claimed FBI and handed us Gheb with a bow on his head. His play was well-manufactured to look equal shades confident and calm. If frozen and J are scum, Gorf is as close to safe for endgame as this underperforming faction is going to get. Since a lot of people were biting their tongues as far as Gorf goes, they may have even thought he was in the clear.

So frozen's in the spotlight, Gorf joins the wagon after I've laid out my frozen case, and it's a damn good one imo, very unlikely to be ignored, especially with how dogged I get about sure reads. Gorf speculates on alignments re: frozen's flip after this has transpired. My initial and superficial analysis of a play scumzenflame might have been making (looking for people to get in J and Glyph's face on his behalf) is brought up by Gorf and then turned on the side, suggesting scumJ. This lets Gorf effectively take the credit for that.

Most crucially, though -- with frozen looking like the 100% positive lynch, there's no actual commitment to this analysis by Gorf. Anything could have happened in the Night and during the events of the next Day. Just look at how Laundry absolutely should've been lynched D1 in Pulp Fiction, but somehow weaseled out of it. If they played it right, they could've had J slinking out of the spotlight like a sneaky cockroach while Gorf shouts at us for not listening him. J gets caught eventually and dies, or we finally "listen to reason" and follow Gorf on the lynch. This, in addition to Gorf taking my frozenflame case to heart and Gorf's claim + bingo freebie lynch, would almost assuredly lead people to believe he was obvtown. Especially with a few of the better townies dead by then.

And then it's GG scum wins Gorf for MVP.


I know this is reaching so far ahead it's basically crystal ball analysis but I really, really feel like this is what was happening. I feel it in my bones.

What do you make of Frozen saying Gorf was in no way cleared for his FBI Agent claim?

Four man scumteam is also possible. Better bad guy ratio (just under 1/3) for the apparent number of power roles and investigatives, and Gheb is BP so adding more manpower to the scumteam doesn't harm the SK slot much.

I'm feeling it. I could also easily see another Indy ****in' around up in here, but I find the 4-man scum team more likely.

That's what I've been saying ever since I joined the game. Mafia handed us the Indy, investigatives have handed us at least two scum and I wouldn't be surprised if Chaco or Auspher could come up with the last scum between them.

Chances are, J will show up close to deadline with a safeclaim that he stalled for ten days trying to explain why he targeted Auspher when he really had no business targeting the scrub as town.

lynch pool is looking like ff, kata, joey after j's inevitable lynch. ff needs to go. if he somehow flips town, i like a gorf/joey/j/kata scumteam. it makes sense to me, both kata and j were pretty much riding joey as a brownie townie because they could read him or some garbage, and gorf could continue to look like the potential obvtown because he pretty much buried any connection to them.

Chaco and Auspher need to choose wisely tonight. Nobody that's already been covered, nobody that's obvtown, etc. Joey and Kat are good picks. Frozen is basically obvscum.

The Survivors gathered around the Hatch wondering how to get inside. There was no apparent opening mechanism. Yelling and knocking on it brought no results. They slammed rocks and makeshift shovels against the reinforced steel without making the slightest scratch.

Digging around the hatch only revealed that it went down deep, very deep. Far too deep for them to keep digging.

Someone pulled a few people away from the milling crowd. "I think something is up with Michael," they said. "He's been acting strange."

The group looked over at the African American man who was here with his son. He had been very vocal about wanting to leave as soon as possible to protect his boy. But after the Others had stolen the child (in a deleted scene), Michael had been reclusive. Before he had been gruff, but somewhat friendly. Now he was short and labile with anyone who tried to approach him. He was pacing back and forth muttering to himself.



"He went out to a pirate ship that's farther inland. Michael went inside and came out a bit later. I looked in after he left. There was a treasure chest full of gold coins. Maybe he took some?"

"What good is gold here?" someone asked.

Suddenly, Michael sprinted to the Hatch. His frantic action caused some diggers to back away.

"Get away, all of you!" Michael yelled, his arms clutchin his stomach. "Leave this place, it's cursed." He threw open his shirt to reveal dynamite strapped to his torso.

"Oh my god, that's what he got from the ship," someone gasped. "I remember seeing some dynamite on the floor."

"Michael, stop! We can talk this through," a friend yelled.

"No, we cannot. You don't understand, they have my son. They have Walt. If I don't do what they say, he'll die." Michael cried, huge tears followin down his cheeks. "Please, tell walt that I love him."

Before anyone could react, Michael grabbed a nearby rock and struck the dynamite. The explosion knocked everyone off their feet.

When the dust cleared, Michael was gone. But the Hatch was now open.

What mysteries lay inside?

Entering the Hatch, the Survivors found a plethora of supplies. Food, tools, bandages. There was even an old time record player which brought some much needed music to the Island. They even found a tape that described what the Hatch was for and it was funded by a group called The Dharma Initiative.

(Jack - "Locke, you gotta go baaaaaaack to the beginning of the tape.")

"I could get used to life like this," someone commented as he poured himself a bowl of Dharma Initiative cereal.

The only catch was there was a button that had to be pressed every 108 minutes. It was wearing to have to be constantly on guard for the button, but there were more than enough people to take shifts so no one person would be overly taxed.

One night, a rather unobtrusive figure entered the Hatch. "It's my shift," they said. The current guard checked the list and confirmed that this was true. He updated his replacement and left, ready for some sleep.

Later that night a HUGE EXPLOSION! rocked the Island. Survivors rushed to the scene to find the Hatch had imploded.

(Well, crap.)

"Who was on watch?" Hurley yelled.

A murmur went through the crowd. Some random person that no one really knew. They had been pretty quiet. Despite a thorough search, there was no sign of the missing person.

Frozen Flame is gone!

Day 5 has begun!
