Just to ask everyone, if a girl told you she fancies you, how would you feel?
awkward for her. 'cause it's not like I am going to go out with her.. but I'm sure she's a lovely girl and I don't want to hurt her feelings.

I'd let her do whatever she wants to me, but I wouldn't reciprocate, obv.

Well considering I'm straight, I'd probably feel good about myself. I'd feel even better if I liked her in return.

But I guess...okay, if a guy said that he liked me...I wouldn't know how I'd react to be honest. I guess I'd be...flattered? But I mean, I'm straight, so I wouldn't do anything with him...

I don't think it has ever happened to me before though so I can't say I know how I'd react.

I wouldn't be like...scared though.

I'm under the impression that a lot of people who are afraid of gays/lesbians are afraid partially because they see a gay/lesbian person and automatically think "oh they're probably going to think I'm attractive and will flirt with me." I remember at least one person telling me that as their reason for being scared of gay/lesbian people. But then again, I, as a straight male, do not like every female that I come across, nor do I flirt with them. It's pretty ridiculous.

Yeah. Part of me would hate to hurt anyone's feelings, girl or guy. But then again, I think I've had my heart broken by way too many girls to care if I'm doing it to someone else.

yeah... for some odd reason a lot of people are idiots.

A guy will seem to think that a gay man will respect NO boundries and will automatically jump him. it's not like most straight men **** women... and it's not like most women are jumping all over him either.

*big, exasperated sigh*

Anyhow... yeah. I'll tell you how you'd feel ZeroFox: even if you would feel flattered that someone found you attractive. you'd feel the same way you'd feel if a girl you had no attraction to asked you. I imagine that that would make you feel a little awkward not wanting to embarass the person by turning them down so bluntly...

oh, and depending on how, when the guy makes his feelings known, you might want to be sure to try to sweep it under the rug quickly so as not to harm your appearance.

Yeah I think I understand where you're going with how I'd feel. There have been a lot of girls who have liked me in the past, even though I've showed no real attraction to them. They were just friends and that's how it stayed. Although there was one time I found out this girl liked me, and luckily I liked her too. Unfortunately though, I never asked her out. I think I was too scared or something...

I've always been like that to be honest. Which is kinda bad, because I feel like even if I found the perfect girl, I'd never be able to ask her out.

But...yeah I don't get what you mean about "sweeping it under the rug" lol. Care to explain?

as gay friendly as you are... if you don't let him down in an assertive enough manner, it might bring your sexuality into question, sadly. I'm not saying to be mean. I'm just saying you can't sit there all flattered and say "sorry no thanks"
Hopefully no one would ever put you in that position though.

Haha I see what you mean.

But to be honest, I know that there's no question about my sexuality. I know I'm 100% straight, and I don't feel compelled to act a certain way or not act a certain way to prove it.

I mean, I have absolutely no problem saying that another male is handsome or dresses well, etc etc. Of course I'm not attracted to them. But I just don't think that it's going to cause a huge blow to my sexuality or whatever.

Not that I go around oogling guys and saying that they're hot...

About the courage thing...I don't know what's wrong with me. I think in my entire life, there have been 2 girls that I've fallen head over heels for. And I liked them each for periods lasting over a year. But all we ever had was friendship, and whether my feelings were reciprocated or not, I'll never know. I would say that there have been 3-4 other girls that, while I wouldn't say I was "in love" with them, I certainly did like them a lot. I guess those lasted more like several months. In all situations, I never bothered to ask them out. I was always friends with these girls, but I was also always too scared even to ask them to hang out in a friendly manner, much less go out on a 1 on 1 date. So I basically sat there wishing that they would like me, but not knowing for certain if they did or not, and not having the guts to actually find out for myself. It's pretty draining.

And I guess when I say that I've had my heart broken by girls, it wasn't really their doing at all. I did it to myself.

TBQH, I've found that most of my closest friends that I open up to are girls, mostly because I think the guys would laugh or judge me if I told them about how I feel.

It's also easier on the internet since not everyone knows who you are =P

I'm just sayin that if the guys hear/see you getting asked out by a boy and you don't flat out refuse as assertively as they would expect, you might get judged. if you're fine with that... then more power too you. more guys should be like that.

I don't have one because I think I'm not mature enough. Not that I like every girl I see, anyway. I KNOW when I like one, but sadly that girl would never like me.

Oh well, who needs love when you have friends? :3

and maybe porn.... >_> <_< ~_^...........TT ^^; ;___ ;

Never thought about not being mature. I watch friggin spongebob for goodness sake!
The real reason is I can't take risks (no I'm not a wimp!) and I know that I have to leave this place in April and that would be too sad.
Crap! Too much sappiness! Must find...
Vegeta, what does the scouter say about this posts sappiness level?

There was some church that gained national media attention for demanding that Spongebob be taken off the air. They thought that Spongebob and Patrick were gay (their evidence was that they held hands often and SB sometimes cross-dresses) and were pissed that there was a Network TV show preaching tolerance.

they're complaining about that when anime consistently have metrosexual characters, cross dressing, and such going on all the time as well? LOL

i may not like spongebob, but thats a silly thing to go on about, same with teh church teaching tolerance thing.

Spongebob sucks. That reminds me. When I was in middle school, this one student told me he wasn't allowed to watch Spongebob because one episode contained the word 'poop.' I feel rather sorry for the guy, he also thought Digimon were scary too.

Lol, sorry guys but I think it's slightly my fault.

I don't even belong in this thread. I think I started a conversation that led to one off topic thing which eventually ended up with spongebob.

Please don't hate me =P

I attend the University of Florida, and every other day I have to walk through this outdoor plaza-type area, and there are religious fanatics holding up signs that read in big bold letters "GOD HATES ***S." I'm on my way to class, so I really never have time to shatter their misguided beliefs, but I was wondering if anyone in the school would fault me for destroying their sign, or do you think that's outside the realm protected by free speech.

I really want to get a "God hates ***s" shirt, as well as one that I saw that said "Homosexuality is a sin, Islam is a lie, and Abortion is murder; Somethings are just black and white."

I really want to see the people who would agree with this stuff, and I like to dress ironically.
