Lol, I remember when this was just like, 4 pages; back when I actually visited the PRoom more than once every few months. haha

Anyways, I haven't read much of the discussion here, but it seems people are pretty tolerant and accepted, so I might as well go ahead and post here.

See, I half-belong in this thread--I'm bi, lol. Only recently came to terms with it (few months ago), but my friends have accepted it pretty well. I haven't told my family yet, but I'm really nervous. >_>

Anyways, that's all. \o/ I never thought I'd ever end up actually posting in here. XD

I didn't know you went to SmashBoards too Lobelia. It's me Yasa from SRK. Heeeeeeey gurl! lol Kind of cheating on the "no internet for a week" thing but I got some good stuff done so I deserve a little treat.

And yes, for the rest of ya'll, I am ghey.

P.S. I'm quite surprised to see a couple of you being open at your ages. I didn't start revealing myself out until earlier this year. lol

Aw shucks, I never knew I was cool. *plays with Urkle suspenders*

Anyone else from the Gay SRK thread in here too? It'd be pretty bad to spread a bear/chub maelstrom into this forum.

And to make this post semi related, I was thinking about telling my mother about "me" today. But then we went to Wendy's. It'd be a better time to tell her when I'm not asking her to pass the ketchup to me. lol

I have a date on Saturday...

My first real date ever, omg. I've been talking to this guy who lives in my area for a few weeks online. (I like to make a lot of friends online. It's not as trashy and myspace predator as it sounds.) He's a really nice guy and we like to chat a lot, traded pics, and all of that stuff. He asked me if I wanted to meetup with him and have an evening together. We're going to get dinner and go see the new Narnia, too. And I couldn't be more nervous... oh my gosh. For those who don't know me, I'm a really shy person, so this is crazy for me. >_< I really don't know anything about going on a date. Hopefully, I'll stop sweating and shaking by the time Saturday comes along.

Good luck on your date. I'm sure you'll be fine, and it's ok to be nervous(and shy, I'm shy as hell too). Just try and relax. I'm sure it'll go fine.

Anyways, I'm really embarrassed after yesterday. It was the second to last day of school(today being the last) and we got out early. I was walking home with this girl I like(she's my neighbor, and one of my best friends), and some people come driving up next to us, with a cooler full of water balloons...you can already tell it went bad from there >.< Even worse, the water balloons had chloride or something in them, so my eyes started to burn(they got me right in the face, I shoved my friend out of the way). I had to walk home with a wet shirt, my eyes burning, and with the girl I like(I was really embarrassed in front of her) :(

It's gotten to the point where only one close friend of mine still doesn't know that I'm gay. The girl I tried to like all through high school. I told everyone I had a huge crush on her, that I'd date her in a second, etc. I'd be lying to myself to say that things would have worked out, but I'd also be lying to myself if I said that I really didn't care for her.

She's amazing, and if I WAS straight, I'd go for her in a second. I just want to make sure that all the stuff that I told her about liking her was, in a way, true. Even though I knew it wouldn't work. I see her every day now, since we both just started a job together. It'll come out eventually...

Like everyone said already, just be yourself and relax. I was nervous on my first date. Even now I get anxious whenever I see my BF.

Speaking of which I'm thinking about telling my BF the big "L" word. He's going to pass by my place on monday to hang out at the pool and play games (and yes folks, it is Brawl :p). Add that and my father moving out this weekend, and this might be the most interesting few days ever.

Alot of my gay male friends had a girlfriend when they were little or a girl that they "loved" its. Its always a interesting story of infatuation right before they start noticing attractions to men. one of my best friends who gave me a little poem when we were little about how much he loved me, and I still think their are affections now. I have a sixth sense for gay men and I get called a hag (whihc pisses me off to no end,I dont go looking for you guys you men have been finding me!)I go to a school that largely is about 4k men to 40 girls, some how I found that needle in the haystack (oh though im sure many guys here are closeted) So with that I'd like to know how many of you think about the pairing with women. I know some striaght girls go looking for homo boyfriends but is it just that its easier to be yourselves around women. To me personall I think i was project for some gay men, they taught me to be a woman and to have confidence also to turn down the *****. Im also curious with about the relationship dynamic in a gamer setting with less fems. Do gamer guys welcome you easier ?

Also I've been so lucky to find the gay gamer is very rare. I've found or that told me, that they have a hard time with the gay community and almost hate it, because they seem to not be the sterotypical gay man so they arnt accepted well?("Like being gay is its own club") I was surprised to hear men in this thread arnt use to going out so maybe its the same for you? Anywho just trying to get some perspective on things that interest me.

*Edit*
Sometimes I have a hard time phrashing thing so if im confusing ask questions so I can tyr a different way.

Yes. Yes they do. Gamer guys are some of the easiest men to please, and often some of the more honest guys out there. I've rarely ever heard of a gamer guy cheating on a g/f. There are also the desperate gamer guys... but you might want to avoid them. They're the majority of forum members, and whenever they hear about a girl they'll go out of their way to either be mean or be overly nice. Dating a desperate one is definitely a safe relationship, and you'll probably be the dominant one, but I guess thats really your own preference more than anything else.

I am not all for relationships being started online like this because I tend to fear the worst, but if things go well then great. Good luck to you and hopefully this guy will be legit and not some old guy who is trying to get in your pants like a creep. But don't listen to me too much I just want to point out the danger factor, not scare you.

Good luck! :)

Gay gamers are rare, although not as rare as you might think(I know quite a few). I think the reason for this isn't so much the gamer factor as much the fact that the straight to gay male ratio is like 10:1 in the world. That would then likely translate over into gamers. I see no reason why gay men wouldn't play video games and much as straight men.

As for straight girls looking for gay boyfriends, I have never heard of that as it is completely illogical. Maybe they are looking for a "wingman" of sorts, but not someone to share a loving relationship with.

Something weird happened recently. My friend recently broke up with his girlfriend, and, apparently, I'm involved in his decision to break up with her.

He's also the same one I came out to (and am currently <3'ing over).

I find this very odd.

That is sweet for you. If he is seriously gay, or maybe bi, you should totally go for it. Since you are friends maybe he has been holding back secret feelings. If he is kind of bummed about his breakup, you shouldn't comfort him and stuff. Be there for him, but don't push anything. Then maybe you will find the truth and things will work to your liking.

Thanks for the tips.

But, seriously, both he and I have way too many things in common. We both like the same Nintendo franchises, we're both flaming liberal, have the same views on politics, neither of us believe in any religion/thing, and we both watched the same shows in childhood.

Seriously.

Way too many things.

We also like to make crude jokes about each other. (Sorry if this is inappropriate, Crimson King. This is a joke, albeit very dirty.)

Him: "My throat hurts, today."
Me: "I'm sorry, was I too rough with you yesterday?"

Yeah, we always do that kind of stuff to each other. It's pretty funny.

Completely illogical but totally done alot. Ive seen girls collect gay men as trophys.

I guess it comes from what backgorund and setting you in because no most gay men Ive met never touched a video game ever. There is definatly a different mentality here I find.

Yeah, I'm not really thinking "oh, I'm starting a relationship now." We're just spending some time having dinner and a movie. If something happens after that, then that'd be for the better. But, I'm not thinking that I have a boyfriend now or anything. Online isn't too bad. I have a lot of friends IRL that I've met through the internet and I couldn't've met them any other way. I'm not scared about 'that old guy' that everybody warns people about. I'm a big dude. I can handle myself, hah. Thanks for the well wishes, though. ^^

And I agree with your gay gamer thing. There's as many gay gamers as there are gay guys related to straight gamers/guys. I mean, this look at this thread and how many gay gamers there are.

Yea I am straight and my straight friends and I make jokes like this with each other all the time. It is pretty common for people who are comfortable with their sexuality(regardles of which way they go), but most guys aren't.

Because bi seems like a safe place to venture out to before making the whole commitment to gay. It's not a rare thing to see.
