she has a pretty wide vocal range, and her voice is usually quite high when singing

but her voice when normally speaking is pretty deep

Yeah, IU's natural voice is just a little deep.

From my experience, I don't think there's any technical terms needed to describe that.

I'm like that too, actually. My natural voice is baritenor, if anything, but my singing voice is around JYJ Jaejoong.

I thought the term was "baritone", as in the middle variant between a tenor and a bass, because that's my vocal range lol.

I'm not sure who I sound like when I sing. Time to browse through a million songs to find something similar lol.

There is a baritone, lol. I'm a baritenor though. It's between baritone and tenor. JYJ Junsu is one, I think.
