So use a lot of Usmash Oos to kill. I totally forgot I could do that for Falco. I do it a lot with Wolf because Wolf's Usmash is a vacuum.

Well, it's rather situational. Not often are opponents going to be rushing in on you when they're at kill %, but just remember that the option is there if you're ever in the situation :)

Camping to high percents is probly gonna be the easiest way to kill since ur moves will be fresh and almost anything will kill them. i usually kill with dsmash tho lol

Effective Bair offstage = potential to kill early and like totally my fave.
Opponent's on the ledge. Walk away from the ledge. Fsmash towards the ledge. 'Cause sometimes people are dumb.
Else, wait and go for like Utilt or something. It kills what, 30% later than Usmash? But it's significantly faster/safer and probably fresher.

I thought utilt takes more than 30 % more than usmash to kill.
But yes utilt is significantly safer, fresher not really.... at least for me..

I always feel like Utilt is to slow and punishable, I guess all the Usmash setups should now be Utilt Setups.

Also some food for thought: Should the primary killing move change from Usmash to Utilt and Bair? If thats so, then we can gatling combo and use Usmash overall a lo more cause we don't expect it to kill right? What do you guys think?

Gatling combo most likely wont hit after 60% ish. And Usmash is still a primary kill option (about 125%). You can also go for utilt at 180 or something, but dont forget u can unstale a lot of moves with lasers. So Usmash should be fresh at 125%

Who are you playing getting kills at 125 with Usmash? Even with a fresh Usmash I usually can't get a kill until maybe 140 or 150.

Getting kill percentages for Bair is kind of . . . weird? I mean, if you go by standard methods like vs. Mario, center of FD, no DI, it's going to be retardedly high. But really, you shouldn't be trying to kill with Bair in that situation so it's a bit misleading.

Also Bair will probably be stale.

I tend to get my kills with OoS Usmash (off mistkes), Utilt (great move), Uair (underrated), and Ftilt (bad DI).

So basically my opponents live for a while.

My ego...It's OVER 9000!
I use laser to usmash, dair to uair(actually works a lot) and fsmash to kill w/ Flaco. I usually get my kills between 90-130%. But my opponents rarely go over 120% since I also use bair to kill. :snake:

A bit dangerous, but I try to go for the Phantasm Spike sometimes. They're usually over the stage or high enough that they can jump up quick enough though. =\

As mentioned, I like SH laser>Usmash and Utilt too.

Charged fsmash too punish airdodges is actually how I get most kills >_>

But honestly, I've been trying to play less risky when it's time to kill and just utilting works wonders I think. Better to get a kill at 160% and take little damage rather than wiffing usmashes all day and just losing coz of it.

some well spaced bairs can put nice sheild pressure on an opponent that sits in their sheild when you try to attack, and sometimes bair can strike through the sheild

They sit in their shield we grab them. And this thread isn't about shield pressure, it's about kill methods.

At high level competitive play thats pretty hard, mostly everyone is smart enough to not roll behind you.

Although the chance is higher if your pressuring them close to the ledge.

It's certainly possible however

SK92 does it XD

Last tourney most of my kills were with utilt, bair, or ftilt by the way. Just playing super safe at that % really works I think

In the end, it all comes back down to our opponent making the error, recognizing the fault, and capitalizing on it.

Haha the trick about rolling is that people want to predict it, which is punishable. If they are waiting so they can react to it they can get punished on that. In short, rolling is overpowered.

I think most Falco's are too conservative when it comes to edge guarding and fighting off stage. Yes, Falco's recovery is mediocre, but I stand by the philosophy that recovering is only difficult when your opponent is trying to stop you. If they're off stage, you don't have to worry about whether you should phantasm onto the stage or onto the ledge. You don't have to try to be tricky with it. Firebird becomes viable since they probably can't ledge hog quickly enough. Phantasm spikes. Firebird can stage spike. Good double jump. Against most of the cast, I don't see any reason why not to go off stage. Some exceptions would probably be people like Kirby, MK, Marth, and Pit.

With that said, my good friend Yawara told me way back when (only a few months ago) that a fast falled, off stage Bair has the potential to gimp early. Think about how long the Bair stays out and how much area you cover while fast falling it. That becomes a pretty big hit box. Combine that with the weak Bair's knock back hitting out and downwards and you have a magic gimping tool.

sometimes i get a really random, large string of beautiful attacks and counterattacks to rapidly decrease their morale then end it with a fresh upsmash.

lol but because i always short hop behind opponents, my most common kill is a sh dair to a quick uair or bair follow up. recently i've also gotten better predicting and killing with fsmash. :]

usually I go for the grab at killing percent, then try to kill them after I throw them in the air.
