Dillon the character I had the most interest in confirmed for AT + Pic of the day reminded me of Donkey Kong 64's Final Battle + being a fan of the N64 Rareware era = I think I'm making now King K. Rool my top wanted newcomer.

And he might not even have the best possibilites in making it in. I could just go with one of the characters on the Sal leak... But, where is the fun in that?.
Nothing, because all these "leaks" seem fake as **** to me.

Do your own predictions, like we all used to.

Kremlings are enemies in Smash Run. THE WORLD IS OURS!

Kremlings being in Smash Run is way better effidence than anything these so called "leakers" say. If people believe "leaks" anyway, what are we doing here? K.Rool is in none of the leaks

ALSO THERE'S A LEAK SECTION

. I think this week or May in general we might get hints on vets or newcomers that relates to the information in the Pic of the Day.

With todays POTD K. Rool just has to be in. If only to make players be able to resemble the DK64 K. Rool fight in screenshots (with Diddy in his Final Smash shooting down the lights to K. Rool). It's so a reference to that (or at least the idea was taken from there). Now we have even more things hinting at K. Rool. If he isn't in in some way (other than a trohpy) that would be really mean of Mr. Sakurai.

We probably got our first Event Match confirmation. :)

Seriously, I'll be unhappy if K. Rool is in and we don't get an event match referencing this.

If the lights can be knocked down, like how you can destroy the lasers of the Great Fox that would totally confirm it for me though!

This would make an awesome event match: Having to use Diddy Kong to drop the lights on King K. Rool before he knocks out Donkey Kong.

And then an electric fence appears and you become Kirby to fight Dedede.

Oh snap! That POTD could be a reference to K. Rool. Just another reminder that's hard for Sakurai to ignore about K. Rool. I'll take it!

Today's picture of the day pretty much confirms it for me about k. rool being in the game, not to mention the kremlings in the smashrun. C'mon Sakurai just show us our King now already!

The lack of an actual new DKC stage is also good news I feel! E3 might actually bring us K.Rool this time!

Huh? In what way?

EDIT: Read some previous posts.

It's a fool's belief to think dropping lights on a boxing stage confirms K. Rool. But it makes his chances a little better than a coin flip in my book.

Basically, here's how he do:

Before Direct: 20% Dixie or Cranky would get in before him.

After Direct: 50% or a coin flip. Sakurai actually knows Kremlings exist! I'm also of the belief Ridley just might be Sakurai's greatest troll yet, and that means Sakurai might be in the market for even more villain reps. Especially one with as much history and Western love as K. Rool.

After PotD: 51% good idea for an Event match with Diddy Kong, but not definitive.

What reference? I don't see any reference regarding the POTD.
Basically DK64's final boss was against King K. Rool in a boxing ring, and one section was with Diddy using his jetpack and popguns to drop lights on K. Rool's head. Smash Bros has a boxing stage where you can drop the lights on opponents's heads.

It's a big reach to call it significant evidence for K. Rool's addition.

It's not significant effidence, but still a fun note. The stage really looks like the DK64 boxing area to. So that helps.

It's as if some of you are actually against k. rool appearing in this game, yeah it's not legit confirmation but it is a very very strong note, heck the boxing ring reminded me of dk64 even before little mac got confirmed when I first saw it.

It is an extremely weak note. The boxing ring is there because of Little Mac, and dropping stage lights onto the ground is a logical stage hazard, with a coincidental relation K. rool with potential as an Event Match. Kremlings in Smash Run, on the other hand, are an extremely strong point in K. Rool's favor because it means Sakurai acknowledges their existence. And again, boxing rings don't come in too many variants. Colorful ropes with a blue mat is not enough to start calling a DK64 reference.

Okay, now I see the reference. Still, it doesn't really change anything.

You know what the boxing ring reminded me of when I first saw it? Boxing.

But maybe I'm biased because I'm into boxing. Maybe.

No spit sherlock, of course it reminded you of boxing, it did to me too but in terms of game reference, the arena and what not looked very similar to dk64 and now that we know you can drop lights on opponents in them pretty much sums it up in relatance.

I do agree about the kremlings.

Source on that?
I have no source. But what I do have is basic powers of assumption, think of it this way - E3 is coming up on june 10th, we know there will be nintendo directs on that day. If there is going to be another direct, (a pre-e3 one) it would logically be this week or next, with the following week perhaps too close to june 10th.

So far all the big important directs have been bi-monthly, so I'm not sure we'll see one until E3.

It's a good bet that K. Rool will show up there if he's in though, he's sort of a big deal.

Yeah, my only reservation is that there are plenty of characters left who are sort of big deals, and unless we're getting a Brawl-esque reveal trailer, some of them are going to have to wait in line, if they're even in at all.

No, the falling lights do not confirm or even really help K. Rool. It's just a funny coincidence that part of one of his most iconic fights is reappearing as part of a stage that, based on most people's reactions, you'd think wouldn't have that sort of hazard.

Does Sakurai consider him a big deal, though?

There's no way to know that, BUT, we do know for a fact that King K. Rool is the 2nd most recurring villain in Nintendo's history, behind only Bowser.
