K. Rool can just have the Pikachu costume treatment, cause if we wanna get technical Pika had 4 models. (Jigglypuff too) So really he can have 5 of his costumes with no color swaps. (I can't imagine him with a different skin color) The only true conflict with this is his Kaptain and Baron costumes, since those 2 don't have crowns (which the crown throw is the move that is obviously going to be a part of his moveset)

Gamexplain (and several other 'game reporting' channels on YouTube) have basically proven to me through their smash coverage that they're just guys who wanted to get paid for an easy job, and not people who actually bothered to research and do quality coverage.

I love GameXplain too, but yeah, so many things about that episode rubbed me the wrong way.

R.O.B. and Mr. Game & Watch are practically inseparable in terms of what they represent, aka milestones of Nintendo's past. Yet they just completely ditched the former like he (erm, it) was a one-off while saying G&W is a must later on.

At least they were somewhat optimistic about Ridley.

Yeah, just looking at the description...

We discuss all the possible characters that could appear in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U & 3DS. From the hint of Pac-Man to the legitimacy of the Palutena leak and the possible return of Mewtwo, we cover them all! We even discuss King. K Rool, Nester, and Captain N!

It's like they're lumping K. Rool together with Nester and Cpt. N in terms of likelihood...

GameXplain is good at Xplaining games. The Mario Kart 8 analysis videos for example are very well made and point out interesting things that I would've never noticed on my own.
It's just that it seems as though every time they give opinions I find myself heavily disagreeing. Maybe it's just because those videos in which they just give their personal thoughts tend to be unscripted, but, eh, I don't really care enough to give them the benefit of the doubt. I rely on video game websites for reporting which GameXplain seems to do well.

That GameXplain video was already leaving me a little steamed with the "Pac-Man in the clouds" and the "Ganondorf wasn't in Skyward Sword, and he's a Falcon clone, so replace him with good old Demise, the walking spoiler with less screen time than Mido". Then they got to the part where they talk about King K. Rool.

The way they dismissed K. Rool was weird. They were basically just saying "Man, it really stinks that King K. Rool won't be in this game! I would love to see him be in this game, but it's just impossible! I know the Kremlings are present in this game, but it's just not gonna happen! No way in Heaven, and it's a darn shame, too!"

I stopped watching after that because what they had to say on K. Rool is what had me interested, and then they used the "muh relevancy" tactic that should be dead, post-Direct. It was nothing short of stupid. I love GameXplain, but they always seem to disregard anything King K. Rool has going for him, and for the silliest reasons.

And they seriously think that the Kritters being Smash Run enemies is the equivalent of saying that Tiki Tong will be in because the Tikis are enemies in Smash Run?! And that's hot off the heels of saying that the Kremlings have been absent for the past two games! You'd think that something would've clicked as they were saying that, like," Oh, wait! Kremlings in Smash Run is a good thing because we know that Nintendo isn't trying to sweep them under the rug!"

I like GameXplain videos, and principally the Smash related ones; ... and this new one about possible newcomers wasn't that bad too. 'cause, first of all, they made explicit that all the content in the video was just their opinions; whose they think that are likely, guarantee, whose they would like in the roster, etc.... unlike Games Radar, that are completely unprofissionals and anti-ethicals, pointing which character "WILL" and which "WON'T"... my God, even the half of the Sonic cast is likely for them. ... without comment their silly arguments about Pac-Man vs. Lloyd.

Game Xplain is generally a good outlet for explaining the trailers and their subtleties, but I'm not surprised they're not brilliant speculators. However, at this point it's far too late in Smash 4's development for their opinions to matter. Looking to the future, if K. Rool doesn't get into Smash 4, it's more about whether he's in DKC6 than what some schmoes on the internet say about his chances.

Yeah I meant DKCR3, I've said before in this very thread how obtuse the numbering is now in DKC, due to the subtitles in DKCR and DKC:TF. I'd like to call them DKC1-6 instead but no one would know what I mean.

As for farts in HD, that is pretty much the opposite of why I want Wario. Hard to believe anyone likes the random toilet humor.

I generally like GamesXplain, and usually jump to its defense whenever jerks on GameFAQs attack its host for his voice (which I actually find quite pleasant). It's a far cry from "analysis pros" like the dudebros at GamesRadar, who tell us without a hint of irony that Marth will be replaced because he's old news (go muhrelevance!). But they definitely dropped the ball on K. Rool in this one. Hopefully they'll address their earlier questionable statements in a later video.

But the Kremlings's appearance in Smash Run is what makes me suspicious. It shows that Sakurai hasn't forgotten about the Kremlings, which in turns, makes me feel that King K. Rool was at least seriously considered for playable status. That's not to say he's in, but he's certainly a contender.

Copying over an idea I had from the Ridley thread...

"Guys, one goal I had in mind in case Ridley (and K. Rool) is disconfirmed is to seek out whatever journalists may be interviewing Sakurai post-release, and to ask them to bring up the character(s) in a question like Nintendo Power did. There's no downside; we get some form of answer, the character(s) get shoved in his face again as a reminder that we still want them and he chose not to add them, and we have something, positive or negative, to rally around again, as well as to provide new topics of discussion."

I think that, if we handle this the right way, we could definitely get results if the scenario comes up. It's not as though we'd be badgering the guy to ask about Shrek, or Geno, or Link's Uncle, or Reggie...we're asking about two key series villains, and we have great enough numbers to prove that we're not just one or two guys looking to make a joke to Sakurai.

If any DK character would be low priority, it'd be Dixie Kong (not saying she definitely would). If K. Rool fails to show up, it'll be because Sakurai for some reason doesn't see him as worthy. Which, could be fixed by a potential appearance in the next Donkey Kong game.

Falco was lucky. He's gonna be in purely because his legacy in the series right now more than anything. Dunno about Lucas but I imagine Sakurai loves Mother 3.

It isn't far fetched to think Sakurai wouldn't find K.Rool worthy. The guy seems to hate DKC for some reason. /s

Keep in mind that Smash is not Congress and that we needed to add Diddy Kong before K. Rool has a shot. K. Rool didn't really have a chance in Melee and Brawl due to Diddy Kong receiving priority in Brawl and in the former case, flat-out not appearing. This is the first time K. Rool has a chance of getting in.

Also, just because Falco and Lucas appeared before K. Rool doesn't make them undeserving.

I liked the character hints but

They lost me on not thinking king k rool will get and exspecial they think mewtwo is not making it all because of the triple final smash problem (mega evolutions) they are the same thing but all of they're all 100% different moves thus making them different final smashes
