I think a lot of time people forget that there are people behind the players, so I just wanted to take this time out to share a bit of my personal life with the smash community.

I'm 18, I'm a senior at Teaneck High School, and I'm actually President of the Pan Asian Organization at my school, despite the fact that I'm black.

Here's a picture.

That's me with the pencil in my ear. There are a lot more people in the room, and we're standing in a circle talking about ourselves. Feel free to do that in this blog, or just talk about me/ask me questions that are or are not smash related.

What is a "Pan Asian Organization" and why are you in it despite that your black?

I've always wondered if Smashers play other games besides Brawl competitively / for fun, or even what their hobbies are outside of Smash.

Pierce, are you the guy with the pencil behind your ear?

That's pretty cool btw.

It's a fancy title for the Asian Club.

Lots of Smashers play other games. Recently, BlazBlue has been getting hype. Just keep an eye out and you'll see what's the new fad with Smashers.

What is an Asian Club? Is it just trips to Panda Express and watching Anime?

And why are you the President? I'd expect the President of the Asian Club to be, you know, Asian.

Yo Logan, can we keep Melee discussion out of here please? This is about Pierce. We could go without the Brawl bashing.

Well, we actually take trips to fun places like Chinatown, the spa, Asian restaurants, Asian Dance performances, etc. It's basically a club which embraces and portrays the culture.

I'm president because I have seniority. I have been a member since my freshman year, and am the oldest member of the club, and have attended 95% of the meetings since joining. I know best how the club is run, and have a lot of experience.

It is ironic though. There are very, very few members of the club that are not Asian.

There is an Anime club in my school, and though I periodically watch anime, I dislike the way that club is run, and therefore do not participate. Also, I don't need other people to watch anime. Asians are only a percentage of the population of the Anime Club. My school is extremely diverse.

At my college, the vice president of the Vietnamese student group last year was black. It could just be that he has an interest in the culture, or is in it with friends and they have a jolly time being/not being Asian together.

I can't think of a question at the moment... So... Pierce, if you were to suggest a question for us to ask, what would it be? And what is the answer?

Well, the big question seems to be why am I so interested in Asians, and that's simple.

The club originally started out as the Filipino Club, because there's a pretty large population of Filipino's at my school, and they are close knit. When I got to high school, I had just broke up with the biggest love of my life, and she was Filipino, but she moved to Conneticut. Because of her relationship, I became way more interested in Filipino Culture, and I've always been interested in Japanese, Chinese, and Korean cultures. Naturally, this club is for me. I've been dubbed Asian by association.

Ironically, BYO (Black Youth Organization) is a larger club, due to the larger population of Black students at my school. I'm often a topic of their discussions, because I didn't join BYO, even after they sent people after me to recruit me. Some people view me as a traitor, and others think it's all good, because Black people are taking over. I think it's all pretty racist, and it shouldn't really matter, but fortunately, it doesn't to most people.

From Pierce's responses, I gather that he isn't actually, but you guys DO realize that it's possible to be Asian and African, right...?

I'm 50% Italian and am of a variety of other European descents (to a much lesser extent), but I'm
a very small
part Cherokee, too.

So, what's your favorite Asian dish?
To be honest, despite my fortune to have tasted so much of the homemade Asian cooking that Asian moms had to offer, and going to all these restaurants and stuff, nothing quite hits the spot like that time we went to a Chinese Restaurant two years ago and I decided to get Sesame Chicken, LMAO!

I got a friend who's half black and 25% chinese, and the other 25% is mixed.

Question for pierce: what are your hobbies besides brawl? I often wonder if people do anything else than play games. Also I'm viet and since you're asian by association you're
one of us, one of us... welcome to the majority of the worlds population :)

LOL. Doesn't that **** own the place man?!

First question. You ever tasted spicy Chinese hotpot? If not, DO SO. *bricked*

Personally, I don't get why you guys call it "Asian ---- organization" and etc. 'Cause that's mostly why some people never get to join it. From what I've noticed, you're a very intelligent guy who's well-mannered (at least, your posts are ) and somebody's who's very conscious of the people around you.

Now here comes my second question. If you had 3 words to describe yourself. What would they be?

The pencil on the ear is too cool, ;D

Also I'm viet and since you're asian by association you're

Haha nice Pierce.

I'm Vietnamese as well, is there a social group I could join XD.

I love Pho, I chuckled when I saw this pic:

Could a Turkish or Afghan person join the Asian Club?
since the countries are located in Asia.

Lol nice pic of the restaurant. I've never tried that kind of food before.

Seems like you have some cool clubs at your school man, I wish my school had stuff like that. I think one of the schools I went to had a sci fi club, but I didn't join cuz there was this one chick in the club that kinda freaked me out cuz she was just....out there. She also had a crush on me so she never left me alone as soon as she saw me. I'm a woman and I'm not gay soo.... it was kinda weird and uncomfortable.
