The soccer game was absolutely heartbreaking, though Canada handled it poorly and based on the team's actions post-game, they may not be allowed to compete after the Olympics pending a FIFA investigation.

Watching Alex Depastie was also saddening. I just heard about that triathlete too

Also, seeing China lose to Russia in the men's 3m springboard was depressing.

What a tragic Olympics for Canadians.

We can always have a big smashfest on a weekday(s). No need for it to be on a weekend given it's summer, though I am working a ton so somebody else may have to set it up! Thank god for a/c <3

im sorry guys, i would be going to all of these smashfests but my family is too busy arguing over where to go for vacation (that originally was supposed to start tomorrow) after they bailed on san francisco, and i can only hear like, 60% in my left ear, and my phone doesnt work and i have no cash

Okay, I'm glad to hear your ear situation isn't permanent. Don't worry, I'm working Sunday-Thursday shifts at work now (they love me and buy me ice cream <3) so I don't really have time for Smashfests either! I'm down for a potential Friday/Saturday Smashfest for next week.

I don't think we've ever met before, and that's really unfortunate because I think you are a really cool insert gender here guy. If you were interested, we could always meet somewhere.
