LoL holds no appeal to me. I played dota in war3 and have given every installment of the game a try. Just not my thing. I like fighters and rts, but the two combined are rarely a good thing.

How far in advance was this date decided? Just last week I recall posting on this thread here some pages back asking about the next monthly. I was told the date was undecided. I never really came around to checking this thread until about last night.

H, you should definitely check out this thread a lot more! The "tournament" today was decided at least a week ago, and the next tournament has already been set for November 24th.

Yeah, sorry about that. This tournament had much shorter notice than I would have liked, but the next one IS already set, so I expect that one to be a lot better. A bunch of people cancelled last minute for this one too, so a lot fewer people showed up than I expected...

Wow... I'm really glad I got sick yesterday. And it's very rare I actually say that. Saves me from spending $100, being sick there, possibly missing work coming back, for a 4 man tournament. Though the 3 people there are by far the coolest people in the BC brawl smash scene for being brave enough to go there even with very few people attending (anyone else who goes will also be included in the group of coolest people in BC brawl).

With 4 people, you guys should do a triple elimination tournament

Thing is I was planning on showing up today since the end of Sept. until I was completely thrown off by said Melee/P:M tourney announcement. Not everyone reasonably can.

I haven't had a birthday party with friends or family in many years because it would be impossible for me to have one that I liked within reason. (We go out for dinner, but I don't consider this spending time with my Family as I don't want to do it and as such I don't really put much into it.)

I ask this to see if it is a good idea to try to separate the brawl and melee events. If they get combined, then I'm fine with it because I get to enter everything. However, if they are combined, and they steal all the TVs, then... well... this is how Victoria brawl died.

We were given the balcony, with 4 TVs. We had enough set-ups for sure. People just didn't come. =[

The 3 of us entered P:M singles. I got 7th, Dawson got 5th, and Landon is waiting in Losers Finals. Silent Wolf, who's waiting in GFs, has played nothing but Brawl so far. He beat me, then Dawson, then Landon.

We'reentering Melee too. It'll be fun~
