Welp, just called Stronghold. Getting a hold of their scheduling guy is hard. :x The 22nd is out; I thought it might be a possibility to just get a corner of the space since we have to share with the MvC3 event happening that day, but the guy I spoke to said it would be a "very large" event, so they're gonna want all the space they can get. I'm going to call back tomorrow evening after class, since that's when the scheduling guy is in, and I'll be shooting for the 29th. (as a belated birthday present to Rob, of course =p)

Edit: Mike/Kevin/whoever else is interested: do you want to make some kind of dinner plans for Friday? I know Kevin said he'd be free then, and I'm done class after 4:20.

Is SFU a possibility? I know storage of TVs may pose a problem.

Storage of TVs is a problem. If we had somebody who had no problem storing and transporting all the TVs for every tournament, we might be able to do SFU. But that isn't the case.

Why is everybody talking about abandoning Stronghold all of a sudden? It's spacious, they keep all our TVs there (kind of vital for us), it's in a central location with plenty of nearby food options, and we can play there whenever we want. This tournament didn't get "delayed an entire month"; we shot for the 15th, but it had to be rescheduled for Magic. This was annoying, yes. Then we decided the 22nd would be nice, and committed to it in our minds before we actually booking it when in fact it was never really an option in the first place, and now we're going for the 29th. From what I remember, we didn't try to book any earlier than that, because the 15th seemed like it would work better for everybody.

The point is, Stronghold is a good venue. I really don't see a need to go look for a new one. =/

Also, this Friday... I was extremely dissatisfied with the Afghan "very spicy" curry which was less than mild. Can we have Indian that day? Mike are you in?

At least Indian people know what the word "spicy" means.

Oh yeah Dogh is super gross... never try this stuff. It's like super sour yoghurt with salt with "refreshing (which you can't actually taste/feel)" mint.

It absolutely can't be the last weekend of September, since that's the new set Prerelease, there's no way we can do it unless we use the top floor, which is doubtful.

And Stronghold's been doing more non Magic stuff, so I'm not totally sure about their schedule, but I can ask Josune.

I'm serious about that Batman question by the way, it's going to determine something for me.
