So I'm wanting to get a computer that can handle SC2 at max settings, I also want to keep it under $800, ish.

I'm also considering maybe having someone build me a computer if I order all the parts and such, anyone here be willing to help me out with that? I assume it would be much cheaper, although no warranty and probably no windows disc would come with it? Idk a whole lot about this area.

Generally buying a pre-built system costs more than buying parts and building your own. I don't really know about that processor because it uses 6 cores, and most games including Starcraft II are really only optimized for using two cores at the most (even if they say they support multicore). Having six cores is really only going to be better for multitasking/running certain editing applications. So at this point it's probably better to get an Intel chip that has less cores but a higher clock speed per each.
I built Joker's computer and it came out pretty good for the price (although I'm still waiting for my brother's asshole friend to give me the Windows 7 CD I need).

I like dells just because it saves on repair costs after the warranty is up. You can just reformat them if anything goes wrong with it, as long as it can boot up anyways.

Hey I live in Ames, but unfortunately I have plans tonight. Maybe next time you're around, or when the school year starts. Most of the other Ames smashers are busy, (Pcity for example) I'm not sure what Afrayail and Ptato are doing though.
