I've got a really nice 5th gen team now, took me long enough. Wish I had it during the tournament on here lol.

Aren't you playing on Pokemon Online? You understand you can view the general status of the opponent's team, right?

I wrote it just cause
If I have it all there then I can easily see whats up at a glance. I note what items they have normally, approx HP, sometimes status, movesets, whos dead, etc
And burn is especially important so I remember that they have halved attack.

Alright. I'll give that to you on the account where you can remember their items or moveset.

But if they're burned? Really? You understand there's a flame icon on the Pokeball of the team member that is burned, right?

So what? I wrote the word burned. That way I dont have to look at the icons up there, highlight to see who it was, w/e. I can just look at my notepad and see everything in one place. who cares

It would be cool if two people could get together to do a dual Warstory where both parties share their thoughts behind the flow of the battle.

Just record the match first, and then have dual commentary afterwards. The only issue is that everything isn't completely original from the memory but it provides interesting results. I could get one done probably.

So what do you guys think about the Ant and Shandera? Ant gives you Truant with befriend while Shandera comes in and begins to be gay while protecting and CMing to hell :/

For the record, that seems like it's much more effort since you'd need to run Protect on Shandera and how obvious the setup seems to be. Abusing a Choiced Normal-type seems less obvious if you're aiming to be that ***.

It's a painfully obvious strategy, as soon as the ant comes out you know what's going to happen, all you need to do is stay in while they befriend then double switch the next turn. Even if they manage to get it to work all that's needed is a physical attacker who outspeeds and can OHKO which isn't hard with Shandera's typing.

The problem with that is that some shandera also carry acid armor. Yes, their sweep is more easily countered if they're only running flamethrower, but getting to +6 def/spdef makes it pretty bulky. Just an example, but it takes like 66% max from CBTar's Stone Edge.

Nice job Chibo. You should have saved the log and wrote a warstory :)
PO auto saves logs, I could do it. I'm about to, I hard particularly good time that tournament, and used a lot of strategy.
I wish there was a replay option in PO to watch a battle replay step by step.
My favorite thing about my team is that it generally takes down the such dreaded 5th gen sandstorm teams

So, how about that Unaware+Clefable.

Clefable @ Leftovers
252 HP/252 Def/4 SpDef
Bold / Unaware

Cosmic Power
Toxic
Softboiled
Assist Power / Fire Blast / Encore

Stat boosting? Switch in and boost up with them, gradually recovering off their damage and stalling them out. A lot of idiots will try to boost on the switch too if this is out already, so you can get a jump on them by defensively boosting and then stalling them out, since they basically just wasted a turn doing nothing. This can actually set up on Roobushin if it bulks up expecting you to switch, especially since you outspeed it so that you're at +2 before it hits you with drain punch. Pair this up with something to get rid of magic guard things and it gets fun. Steels kinda suck too, so a physical fire attacker would probably help deal with both.

As uncommon as it is, seeing as it's something that I of all people run, how does this fare against Life Orb Terakion's Holy Sword with no boosts? With +1?

Octillery used Protect!
Garchomp used Bla.

+2 Evasion. -1 Bla.

Garchomp used Outrage!

Octillery lost 100% of its health!
Octillery Fainted.

Where's your evasion now? :troll:
Gardevoir
Trace

-Twave
-Shock wave/Magical leaf
-psychic
-Will-o-wisp

This will cripple any inconsistant user, If you catch it early enough, you can use the ability against it.

Inconsistent got banned :p

Clefable can't switch in on anything, so that set is basically useless. To its credit it doesn't immediately die to Holy Sword (which would bypass the defense boosts anyway).

Also I'm gonna try making a legit team and then posting an RMT after actual testing instead of just posting it like I usually do.

Clefable might be useful against Swords Dancers who don't carry Fighting-type moves. Or stupid things like Charge Beam Jolteon.

What about EQ and Crunch?

Why not use the strongest attack TTar can possibly have vs. Shandera to prove a point? no need to calc weaker stuff since you know it does less. Almost any non-boosted attack will do less, except banded sand power landlos' earthquake.

Well I was just wondering for if I ever use those two >___>
The point is that although Tyranitar carry Earthquake and Crunch, you only need to calculate Stone Edge as Tyranitar's strong attack on Shandera.

You can obviously calculate via Earthquake and Crunch, but those don't really help too much.

I love you guys. I waited like 5 minutes and you guys got back to meh.

<3

Oh and BTW Wave I have a problem with him when he's the last pokemon. If I haven't been able to setup a sweep and my Gyarados is dead then im screwed.

Derpmon is garunteed a Bulk Up if he switches in on the right pokemon. After one bulk up hes almost always guaranteed ANOTHER Bulk Up.

I asked for a die hard counter that can kill him in almost any situation therefore I thought it was appropriate to ask if it had 2 Bulk Ups as an example. It was a hypothetical situation.

Common sense? Ha, its called Hax. This is pokemon we are talking about here, not real life :p.

Okay, he's at 2 Bulk Ups. But the good thing is that you have had time to switch in your Zuruzukin check and / or counter AND have had time to hit it with a Close Combat / Hi Jump Kick / U-Turn / Bug Buzz, and now he has very low health along with terribly low Speed.

You're better off using Close Combat to Mach Punch to prevent the impending Rest (Shed Skin Rest).

U-Turn doesn't work as well unless you're Scizor. At +2 Def. with natural defensive investment, non-STAB U-Turn doesn't do as much as you'd want it to, honestly.

Except for the fact that I didn't have a pokemon to counter it. I was in a mind-blank and wanted some help. So I came here. Thanks for giving me an example. Very helpful.

No need to hate and get angry.
