I've done this a few times by accident but I can't seem to do it consistently. Anyone know how it works here?

Doraki Wall Jump.

Drop off then sweetspot the ledge with something. Then smash away and you'll have yourself a Doraki!

i can only do it with fox.

i heard falcon can NOT sweet spot using his Upb, but i KNOW i have done it after using his upb to recover. So i'm not entirely sure that is correct.

i moonwalked into a shorthop onto the ledge. I tried

back -> jump -> c stick away

in an attempt to hop away from the ledge and back air. And somehow I let go and walljumped into a knee instantly???

Yes im alive XD

This what you're talking about?

Because I've wondered how to do this for so long.
no thats easy... you just dash attack and hold back then when you fall you walljump.

were talking about when your already hanging from the ledge, and you try to ledge hop and you some how instantly wall jump (still have your 2nd jump). a lot of stages do it automatically for falcon, like green greens and a certain ledge on hyrule temple

This isn't the doraki, falcon loses his jump in this. Like hax said, if you smash back and jump at the same time, you walljump instantly. This DOES use your jump, but it's a walljump that is much fast er than letting go then double jumping in and wall jumping.

I know falcon can doraki with up B. I dont know the timing tho since ive only done it a couple times. all u do is grab ledge with up B and hit away on the directional stick at the same time

ya you just smash away and jump
eeds to be fast.. i think it's because when he jumps he goes all over the place, so he's touching the ledge and can do it.. and since you just smashed away it still counts for that too.

i've never gotten it to work, nor have I ever seen anyone do it with falcon on FD. Show me a vid of falcon walljumping from the edge and retaining his jump on FD and I will be impressed.

Land on ledge instantly press down jump back and you will do it. You don't have your second jump though.

hrm i can't figure out how to do this consistently, however i did figure out that you can edgecancel an aerial into a walljump which leads to the sexiest kill if you hold in after the edgecancel then press away

moonwalk towards edge -> edgecancelled reverse knee -> instant walljump -> knee

Smash away from the ledge and press a jump BUTTON either x or y at ALMOST PRECISELY THE SAME TIME

But obviously you have to smash away first, it's sort of like Usmash OOS timing.

Doraki instant walljumping is a different application with different characters and is unreliable.

You can also dash attack to the ledge, fall off the stage, hard DI towards stage, then smash away to walljump retaining a second jump. Good for edgeguarding.

You don't keep your double-jump this way

Try dash attack off on FD and then hold into the stage and smash away, you will keep your double jump. Works on other stages too of course.

iirc it only works with falcon if you jump. it's not a true doraki walljump.

I can recreate it perfectly by going frame perfect ledge hop > fast fall > back + jump

pretty sure i seen / heard of this before and is in a young link???? tech skill video. i may be wrong but i believe it involves none of which anyone mentioned.

you have to up b prior to grabbing the ledge, and the reason it worked on that tape has to do with how he was gliding on the edge of fd and something else....

i think.

So on like... FD

Falcon can edgecancel a special into walljump knee, still retaining his jump and shiz?

I forget if vb is ledge cancelable, tho

If it is

vb>walljumpknee>dj knee

Would be hot for a ridiculously convoluted edgeguard from near mid stage

If vb = side b then yeah you can edge cancel it, but i had no clue if you could wj after an edgecanceled move.

anyways, it is an unnecessarily awesome edgeuard

nah, is downb. I didn't mean edgecancel last night, anyway. I just meant space it so that the kick ends with you able to walljump.

Falcon players need to add this to their arsenal. Once i have Wii cords, i might do it myself.
