Or we could get a robosexual. Lmao
Running a tournament is easy, running a good tournament is difficult.
Why don't we just ask hilt?
He stays a TO even when he's wasted. Hhaha

More like running a big tournament is difficult. If it's smaller, then it's way easier to run because that means less people asking you **** and it's easier to see who is and isn't getting their **** done. That's just the way I view it, though.

I might.

It's really disheartening to have never hosted a tournament that had more then 24 entrants (and really only broke 20 once), but I really enjoy running tournaments where the bulk of the attendance is Indiana. It was definitely the most my locals have ever actually felt like "locals"
I'll start bringing builds of the greatest competitive party fighting game ever when it's playable.

I can make the Indiana PR right now.

1. Krystedez
2. Hadesblade
3. Ducky
4. XeroXen
5. Steep

HM. Kryz' Bike, Squid's Smack Talk, The Huntington Tier List

I'd like to have more players and more tournaments to have to actually think about it though!

Uh, yeah, but I'm from Nebraska, we don't even play brawl at our brawl tournaments AND I'm not even worthy of a top spot for my character, where as those two guys are #2 or something for their respective character.

I wonder who's in charge of that thread, anyway?

Warning: 50 posts to 5000, I have wasted my life.

I've considered going to see some of the melee guys I know from the coasts, but I feel like I'm done traveling for this game. Especially now that there is no unifying ruleset and the community is going back on 3 years of work haha.

I'm going if TecoTaco buys me Chicken and Waffles though :muffin:

Just follow the grime...
IN should really make a PR again... Or re-combine with KY. (who should update theirs anyway)

Might motivate people to start working to improve. Recognition usually helps with that.

Also. I support any list with Steep on it.

Yes they should. I know we're going to try to host Fort Wayne tournaments when we get into college so hopefully we can get a decent amount of entrants.

So Indiana guys should show up to that. There will also be Marvel and Skullgirls.

With Louisville (at least temporarily) out of the picture, Indiana and Lexington are just too far apart to be able to make INKYtron again.

Also to be fair I made a totally accurate Indiana PR

Louisville is working on it. In other words I'm working on not be so godawful at this game and Joey is looking for ways to improve further.

Though I'd love to reunite INKY

The 3 and 4 spots were messed up.
Results baby!

Also if Louisville became the melting pot between Indy and Lexington like it used to be INKY could be a thing, but honestly with the kind of revival Kentucky is trying to have (even if it's small) they should just do their own thing and not worry about us.
Krystedez is the best player in Indiana. Hadesblade is also from Indiana. That's really all you need to know about Indiana's scene. Kentucky has potential for a real list.

Louisville... out of the picture...

This saddens me. :/.

Edit: Louisville is working on it, but it won't take over Lexington. Lexington has a great scene, and getting Louisville past that will be nearly impossible considering the fact that we only have 4-5 players that are actually wanting to become good at this game.

Makes sense. If I/Betadyne can find a bigger venue, then we can probably host bigger tournaments. Until then, we'll just have to work with S2D. Becoming a city with bigger tournaments, though, is actually possible.

Betadyne, we need to talk about possible venues sometime if you haven't talked to people already. S2D is pretty cool, but the store isn't big enough for big tournaments.

I mean, Louisville might work for you southern Indiana guys but honestly as long as I'm stuck in Northern IN it doesn't seem like a great place to me.

We just need central IN tournaments rather than just the (amazing) southern tournaments held by Composer. I mean I plan on hosting stuff in Fort Wayne but that's still northern IN and every major spot from here is like 3 hours away.

And the Indiana scene can definitely grow and have player improvement. I know Huntington is (kind've) working on it right now and we're getting out there and going to more tournaments and having practices again. It helps that we play other games too, because it gives us more options for our tournaments/gatherings to have more fun, so nothing ever really gets old.

I really want the Indiana scene to grow and be bigger and more active than it has ever historically been in the history of competitive Brawl. For other games it really isn't that bad, even Melee has a scene! (Probably larger than the Brawl scene honestly), so I don't see why it couldn't happen.

There's GauntletHadesblades.

And just GauntletHadesblades. But there used to be Count. I'm sure he'd at least SHOW UP to a tournament held in the Indianapolis region. Maybe.

I highly doubt Renegade would show back up. And that takes care of all the Indianapolis players that have ever existed.

Oh yeah I forgot about VaMP and AvaricePanda.

And since Count will be free this Summer then we should totally host more Indiana tournaments during that time. Considering most of us will be on break from school anyway it seems like a pretty damn good time to try to make the scene more active.

That is if anybody else cares. :p

I'm in Louisville for 4 months and 8 in utah for school. I'm always willing to host smash fest or even small local tourneys if you people want. I always give epic housing, just ask everyone that stayed the night before the arcade legends tourney. My only problem is I have no car and I live 15-20 mins outside of Louisville. So I can't make it to many tournaments, unless people are going by my way ie tourney in cincy. But i'll see what I can do about my car situation that way we can revive Louisville. But I for sure can make it to the s2d tournies. I'll be back home friday.
