Brawl is the 7th game to recieve a perfect 40 from Famitsu. (Since the 3D gaming era N64/DC/PS1)The law of making good games, actually.
Very few all-time (9+ from your average reviewer, let's say) great games have a great sequel to it that strayed far from the original and yet was as good as the original.
And since 3D gaming has begun, it's that much harder.
Fighting games are loads different from RPGs or platformers. You can't possibly compare the two of them.I'd point you directly to the Mario games, or Final Fantasy for examples of successful series whose games generally differ from one another by a good degree.
Fair enough but let's refrain from using the word 'law' if we don't intend to be absolute about things. Lol indeed. My point doesn't have to be absolute to be valid. lol @ ****** debates
It was never a comparison between a fighting game and another. It was just an example of series that remain consistently good despite major changes in them. It was about game design in general, not necessarily specifically fighting games.Fighting games are loads different from RPGs or platformers. You can't possibly compare the two of them.
wow how can u say ff12 is a piece of crap...lmao thats probly the best final fantasy to come out since 7 that game completly revived the series lol...way to be way off edreese =)I like Brawl, but Famitsu gave Vagrant Story and FF12 perfect scores, these are both games I consider pieces of crap. (VS does have a good soundtrack) So I don't really listen to Famitsu. Heh. I agree with Wind Waker, OOT, and Soul Calibur though![]()
go to cosco's lol birds on the floor everywhereWaffle made fun of me because I've never seen a bird on the ground.
Thats about all my thoughts on the game summed up by somebody else.I don't know where i'm going with this, i just miss the Melee community, and i hate that Brawl is breaking it up. I really miss times like these, and online brawl honestly isn't that satisfying when you have to play online and can't even talk to your friends.
This is going to be the most open **** i've ever said, and make fun of me for it all you want, but somebody host a tournament, because i miss everybody, i miss the community, i miss going to dinner after tournaments, i miss playing friendlies with everyone without having to type in 12 numbers into my wii, i miss feeling nervous during a match when my opponent and i are last stock, i miss the frustration after losing a match. I miss every aspect of the community.
So yeah.......
I don't understand why hate FF12. It's a great game... Not the best but great still. But I do think a perfect score is just a bit to much.I like Brawl, but Famitsu gave Vagrant Story and FF12 perfect scores, these are both games I consider pieces of crap. (VS does have a good soundtrack) So I don't really listen to Famitsu. Heh. I agree with Wind Waker, OOT, and Soul Calibur though![]()
the only thing i like about ff12 was Ashe.I don't want to debate FF12 because no one is going to change anyone's mind, but if you're curious why I didn't like it:
-The characters were boring to me besides Balthier
-The dungeon designs bored me
-The storyline was uninteresting
-I didn't really like the villian, he was just some normal guy. He wasn't that fun.
-The coolest person in the same, Al-Cid, was forgotten and ignored
-Bosses would go invincible for no reason and all you could do is heal and wait it out, this made me real mad
-Random treasure chests. In RPGs I love to explore dungeons, but with random treasure chests, I felt it was pointless, and only cared to move to the end of the dungeon
-I didn't really like the license grid that much, I wasn't excited about it, there just wasn't anything cool on it besides the real nice spells and the stat bonuses
-Voice acting was good but the way the audio was recorded really annoyed me. Everyone sounded like they were speaking behind a microphone, this really got to me.
-The music sounded nice, but it wasn't very memorable for me. I can't rememebr the songs the way I can remember Liberi Fatali or One Winged Angel, or Jenova's Theme, or Eyes on Me or the FF4 battle music. I can't really hum ANY of the songs right now off the top off my head, because they just weren't memorable or catchy to me
I can't really pick anything, let's just say I was bored the whole way through with almost everything about it. The only thing I liked was the gambit system and the marks. Again I don't want to debate this you're fine to love the game, I'm just explaining what I don't like for you guys curiosity's sake![]()
The only thing I liked about FF12 was the fact that I didn't play itthe only thing i like about ff12 was Ashe.
The only song I remember from ff12 is the intro song because it's the ff trademark song haha
Nah, I don't think so. Unless they had used Fox instead of Link in the game.
I think Ocarina of Time is the only game ever that truly merited a perfect score.
Get it? It's the best game ever made. Yes, better than melee...
