Hello Hyrule Warriors players!

I have a question about the ranking in adventure mode : how do you know the amount of damage that gives you A or B?
Or precisely how many hearts can you lost?

Roughly Ten hearts worth of damage before it goes from A to B in my experience.

That Nintendo Direct announcement was retweeted by KT. We may get to see who this brand new character and weapon is tomorrow!

In most of the bottom stages that 4k damage you need to stay under is just as the person above said, 10 hearts. In the upper portion of the map, mostly the top two rows, the damage you need to stay under increases to 10K.

Ok thanks for the tips!

For the DLC, I think that you can buy it now, but it's not released yet

i think you're right. The official website says out now but it's not up on the e-shop yet to download (Twilight Princess Pack I am talking about). Maybe it'll be talked about in the Nintendo Direct today. And you are welcome.

I managed to make it to the adventure mission where you have to use Link to defeat Ganon today. I never did A-rank the mission though, as I still don't have the Master Sword's ability unsealed. Likewise, I couldn't pursue any Gold Skulltulas, as I was way too occupied with defending the Allied Base against the highly resilient enemy captains.

Link's level was over 75 when I got to that point, but apparently that's just not enough if you're trying to A-rank that mission.

I just did the same Mission at Lv. 83. Took an awful lot of failing/learning and luck/RNG, as I had a near-perfect Lv. 3/5 star Hylian Sword with 7 slots.

However, it's more dependent on how quick/efficient you can be (doing things like memorizing what bases are going to get siege'd before the text actually prompts them to, saving your actually competent-but-not-really Captains, consistently moving/fighting simultaneously, etc.) and how long you can endure it. After a certain point of defending (assuming you can actually maintain all your keeps), your side gains enough momentum to hold their own, and the rest of the mission becomes cakewalk (just narrowly missed an A rank due to time spent fighting the Dark Lord).

Anyway, Amiibo support/Spinner hype. Did wish they'd given a release date, though.

So the Link Amiibo will unlock the Spinner aka the best item in Twilight Princess as a weapon. Welp I guess I'm gonna buy a Link Amiibo now. Well played Nintendo.

I can second this lol
If his amiibo didn't have any connection to Hyrule Warriors, I wouldn't be considering it.

My memory is hazy but did they say something about the other Zelda smashers' amiibos having compatibility to HR?

If you scan any of the smash bros amiibos you get a random weapon/material/amount of rupees. Nothing too amazing.

It's a shame that this doesn't give you much breathing room for trying to hunt down the Gold Skulltula. You seriously need to be able to wipe out the enemy captains ASAP if you expect to get the Gold Skulltula without seeing your forces get slaughtered.

Has a video trailer for the Link's spinner weapon too.
The interesting thing is that it also puts Zelda on the same tier as Link for functionality of the Amiibo in Hyrule Warriors. Will Zelda do something special in Hyrule Warriors? I don't know, can't read Japanese. If anyone else can and can translate this for us, that'd be nice.

It's pretty much inevitable that zelda is gonna get a new weapon too, when is the question. Also what, I'd love to see hilda's staff as weapon

Yep, Zelda's Amiibo is going to give her a weapon too (and that's awesome!)

But I have absolutely NO idea what she is going to get, a lot of items are already used as weapons, either for characters or usable by everyone. I was thinking of the goddesses' spells, but she already use those with the rapière moveset...

I honestly have no idea what they could do, They already represented TP with the rapier and wind waker with the.. well...wind waker, that just leaves Skyward Sword and Ocarina of time and I can't think of any for either

They could go for the hilda staff but cia already has one, I seriously can't think of anything

Link uses a sword, and yet so does Ghirahim and Ganondorf. Zelda could always utilize a staff herself if she wanted.

That's brilliant!

Can't believe I never though of it

Although I try to block out Spirit tracks as much as possible, Never liked that game
I'm probably biased because it reminds me my vacations in Japan, but I enjoyed Spirit Tracks, actually.

I didn't thought of it first too, because it's not really a weapon. But the Great Fairy and Epona are weapons, so...

I saw a pretty cool idea on Miiverse of all places for her to get the Dominion Rod, using it to summon/control Armos, TP statues, Skyward Sword Guardians, and of course, Spirit Tracks/Smash Phantoms.

I thought this was the possible TP DLC pack weapon and not the Zelda Amiibo weapon. But who knows.

So apparently someone's been datamining the current game, and come across some info on certain characters...

SPOILER TAGS FOR THOSE WHO WANNA AVOID THIS

"Looking at code of #HyruleWarriors I found some disturbing text strings: action/model/C_TINGLE.bin.gz action/model/W_TINGLE_BALLOON.bin.gz"

There is one more: "101_dark_tingle_00"
And also there seems to be a 2nd weapon for midna: action/model/W_MIDNA_HAIR.bin.gz

Could be a load of old hooey, but thought I'd share it with you guys. Many guessed these might be parts of the DLC anyway, but think it's legit or a load of old nonsense?

There is a rumour that the Zelda Amiibo only gives a random weapon and not a totally one new one like the Link amiibo does.
According to some random J.ap speakers around the website was changed to reflect this.

[edit] I have finally A Ranked every 1st quest adventure map. I have not gotten all the heart pieces and Skulltulas though. I'll do that later. So if anyone needs any advice on how to do any stage, I can help you out.

I must really be slacking off with Hyrule Warriors, as I still don't have all the Adventure Mode weapons. And the big problem is that the characters that I need to use to get them are just way too underleveled to deal with the enemy captains.

With a 5 star Lv2 weapon you can do all the Lv3 ones at character Lv60 or even less at times. Also working out how to beat the stage most effectively helps as well. And getting the Lv3 keep capturing badge helps a ton. Gives you way more time to deal with the captains/enemy heroes. And makes it easier to take keeps cause less chance of them recapturing them.

I did them all around Lv65, the only one I had higher (at Lv75) was Lana's Lv3 portal stage. So you don't need Lv99 at all for them.

Good to know. Looks like I'll be needing a massive amount of rupees if I expect to level up Ruto, Darunia, Midna, Impa, Sheik, Agitha, and Zant more quickly.

The only person I got even close to Lv. 60-70 was Link (at the time). I started out with people in their mid-30's, and ended with early 40's, with a select few up to 50+ (sis plays as Ruto/Zelda during Campaign/when she supports me).

It typically comes down to figuring it the specific pattern for everyone/every mission type.

I struggled forever on Ruto's Lv. 2/3 (I forget which) mission, for example. Then I did a run where I literally did nothing but stand in front of the allied base, spamming her Strong Attack/charging up Water to throw. I did this for maybe 7 minutes, killed more than enough enemies for A rank, and had the gates to the enemy base open without so much as having moved 10 steps from my position. Ended up completing the mission with no damage, in less time than it would have taken me with even my strongest character/doing in the "regular" way, and with my sanity intact.

This is totally correct.

Of all those characters, how you do the stage matters just as much as your level. So I'd try them at a lower level and see how close you get to A ranking them. I'm talking about the respective Lv3 weapon stages.

For Darunia, the Lv3 fort taking badge helps a ton. Getting this badge changed it from doing it in 17 minutes to getting it down to like 12 minutes. And you'll need the time (saved from the L3 fort taking badge) to kill the captains/enemy heroes you need to kill.

For Agitha, just spam the rhino beetle combo and make sure you kill the captains in the middle of horde packs to get the collateral damage KOs.

For Ruto, totally ignore both gold Cuccos. Just kill the captains you need to and kill the final enemy hero and you're done. Just make sure to kill the large horde packs along the way so you have around 1100 KOs when you race to the last enemy hero. You can get the last 100KOs in that final fort. If you're fast enough the allied base will not be taken.

I did Midna at a lower level than I thought I would need to. If I remember correctly you can avoid the keeps here and just race down the captains. And get enough kills. But I'm not 100% sure here, my memory on this one not so good.

Zant's one was tough, only because I'm not so good at his combos. I had to level him up quite a bit to like 65. And then I got it done, no fancy tactics here, just practice makes perfect. And remember you can get the last 100 KOs in the final enemy hero's fort. I say this so we know when to stop farming KOs and race to the last enemy hero.

Sheik's Lv3 harp I remember was a simple case of levelling up more (to like 60) and I got the job done. Nothing fancy. I didn't use all that many of the combos.

Impas Lv3 stages were not all that hard for me. I'd try those at the level you are now and see how close you are to finishing it with the A Rank. Her's were some of the first Lv3 ones I did. The X specials with both weapons are great for killing large horde groups fast for mass KOs. I certainly abused this. The Lv2 spirit metre badge helped there to get special attacks faster At that time I only had the one spirit bar. If you got a 2nd one it could help out as well.

Of cause this assumes you have all the Lv2 armour badges. I assume you need them all for damage reduction on stages without any favoured element. I did them all without any Lv3 armour badge. The Lv2 ones are not too hard to grind out.

I had to stop trying to get Zant's level 3 weapon, since he hardly left any dents on the Aeralfos', even when their weak points were exposed. I'll have to improve his level more before trying again.

Also, my strongest warrior right now is Link, but I can't reach his level 3 Great Fairy weapon until I can take care of the missions involving Agitha, which I have not touched at all yet.

The website has been updated. It looks like Link AND Toon Link Amiibos will unlock the spinner weapon.
Correct me if I am wrong but that's how I see it.

Number 2 has been updated too. Does this mean they give something more than the non LoZ amiibos will?

Any ideas on who might be the new DLC character for the TP pack? (I really don't have any. :/ )

I've been getting burned out a little from the Master Quest Adventure Map. I've been playing on MK8 with their new DLC, and it's very good! Probably pick up HW again tonight.

Personally, I hope that it's someone from the resistance, especially Ashei. Two characters are often brought up, but I don't think it would work well: Midna's True Form and the Hero's Spirit.

Midna's true form would require an entirely original moveset (even Agitha's moveset, albeit invented too, have a sense of logic, being tied with the golden bugs quest). Plus, Midna's imp form is more popular I guess, and Midna + Zant represents the Twili well.

The Hero's Spirit is basically a Stalfos with Link's moveset (or is it Link with the Hero's Spirit moveset? :awesome:)

I also see some people talking about Yeto...
