So, the last time I posted MK videos here it was after I had been practicing him for like a day or something lol. Needless to say I've gotten much better with him since then so I thought I would bring you guys up to date on my progress .

These videos are of me vs Le_Thien's diddy from Oh Snap this past weekend. They are friendlies keep in mind . Le_thien got 3rd at Oh Snap out of 112 beating a plethora of good players until he lost to Roy_R. I placed 7th. He can seemingly beat my GW consistantly >_< lol.

You have to hit log out twice usually. If that doesn't work just clear your cookies.

I clicked logout like 10 times. Then cleared cookies. Then tried to logout again like 20 more times. Idk wtf is up with this. So now I'm spamming his account. Keke. Ban me ban me. XD

Only watched vid 1, but eh, it seemed like you were so defensive. Personally I liked the old MK; the one that would like gimp people off the edge in a second and IDC'd everywhere. It looked kinda slow... You rolled [imo] in a silly way and I'm surprised you weren't punished more for it.

But if I recall you guys had been playing brawl already without sleep the previous night, so I can definitely see 'struggle' of concentration...

Watched second vid and a similar critique still stands. The ending though was quite nice.

I suppose when I watch MK vids I set the standard of 'good' being the MK absoloutely destroying the opponent.

**** dude, your mk has gotten pretty sick. I only saw the second video and it was too ****. good stuff.

Also on a side note, how does diddy kong do against mk cuz i know for a fact my toon link gets ***** by mk and so does my oli. however i dont really play diddy yet i do much better with him.

Haha Le_Thien is much better then the person I was playing before so obviously I'm not going to look as good. Keep in mind he could probably get close to 3 stocking the mk you saw in my old videos . Playing defensive against diddy and then agressive when he doesn't have nanas is how you should play the match-up. He would **** me if I was just aggro the whole time. Another key difference is that I'm thinking almost the whole time in these matches where as the other ones I was just kind of ****** my opponent because I was such a better player.

It's the small things that count .

Yeah, I definitely understand that. I still saw some ROLLING.
Generally I find matches against Diddys and ICs with any character are a general different 'style'/game to any other character, so perhaps if I saw some matches against other chars :O.

Still, more IDC imo.

You definitely were particularly meticulous with your aerial approaching; it definitely seemed you were thinking about every single move. I saw little dtilt/ftilt usage. It's probably what caught me off guard the most - I think you purely relied on dair as your approach while throwing in a tornado to mix it up, occasionaly you'd do a dash attack if they misspaced the nana, downsmash if they were ever close to you/for punishment.

I think for the sake of the argument you perhaps played too defensively, I saw little pressure coming from you whatsoever other than dairs and uairs if they were above you...

However, over all, the spacing and timing seems improved and your original rough edges have been shaved.

Watched the third match too:
- you didn't ftilt once. You used dtilt once in the match and it had great results; I hope you can see my issue.
- Everytime a nana hit your shield you would roll towards your opponent; like everytime. Usually followed by a dash attack.
- Most often when you were hit by a nana you would roll into your opponent as well and then continue to get hit.

I don't really see how those are issues aside from the rolling, which was usually used correctly.

Go watch M2K vs NL and tell me how many times he uses Ftilt. You know how many times he used it in the match he won? Zero. Ftilt just isn't that smart against diddy since he can just glidetoss a nana backwards out of his shield and for various other reasons. It's much smarter to just stay in the air and approach with dair.

Also, I don't use IDC when I'm playing seriously as it's banned.

Also, Hylian, I think you're like 3x better with several other characters.

Edit: did you start off warming up? Like a minute and a half into the first matchup you get way better.

I rarely watch brawl vids in general unless it's like NL or M2K or someone big. It's too slow paced and matches tend to take forever. I never tend to learn anything from them anyways.
