Was pretty epic alot darker than the last. But I guess it had to be to continue with the story and generation that's been following it.

There was a few differences in the movie. Some I liked. Some I didn't. For instance in the book the reason they knew it was the real Harry was because he shot an expelliarmus charm. Whilst in the movie he let hedwig out for a fly right before they left to transfer Harry.( Whichmade sense because in the book hedwig was upset due to not being able to be letout in a while because he had to leave.) Then when Harry was close to being killed. Or
closER rather. She flew at a death eater chasing Harry instinctively to protect Harry thus informing voldemort he was the real copy. This also makes it seem alot more probable that she was caught in the crossfire. Far more probable than being locked in her cage in between Harrys legs IN the bottom of the
sidecart. How she knew this was the real Harry though...

Owls aren't fooled by polyjuice potions. Only the greatest dark wizard of all time is. Duh.

A difference I did not like was the reading of dumbledore's will in which the 3 of them just sat there listening to everything scrimingeour had to say.

Whilst in the book it was alot more hostile. Hermione was shoned apon a lot more and knew everything the minister
was doing before he was doing it. They were frustated how long it had taken to get the items the way the ministry and searched them for items dumbledoor had left. In the book they were far more against the ministry. The movie they just sat there quiet excepted their items and then scrim told them they couldn't do it alone and reassured them ffs!

Maybe I'm being too fanatical. Anyways really keen for some discussion.

Saw it, it was pretty good although movies in parts makes me feel unhappy and ripped off. July next year, hey.

Hermione: Take it off, Ron!

Ron: It's 10 inches, nothing special.

I now leave this to your imagination. :D

If by "previous films" you mean "the first two", then I completely agree!

All the others were trash, I gave 3 and 4 a chance but after that I started actively hating the movies.

Sirius' dog form should have looked like my aunties dog.

They ruined the movies forever!

For those of you who are actually interested the movie was mostly pretty faithful to the book.
A lot of the issues with the movies people have previously had was because in the limited span of one movie there was only so much story they could cover resulting in massive chunks of the story being missed out. There was pretty much none of that in this movie, the reason things may have seemed to drag on a bit in the movie, lots of character developmenty type scenes between characters is because in the books most of that stuff was there and it helped to build the atmosphere.
Personally i preferred the books because there are things you can read in books that just cant be conveyed properly on the big screen.
That being said i thought the movie was fairly decent. not amazing but watchable
Thats what i thought anyway,

and yeah i watch harry potter, i read the books, but at least im not a manchild AND in denial about it:p

Lol, silly children's book that makes billions of dollars.
I don't see how that's silly, at all, unless making money is now considered a silly thing to do.
And if that's the case, then gratz to you.

Ginny is wearing black, not gold at the wedding.

Harry doesn't get disguise himself with a polyjuice potion as a Weasley relative at the wedding.

Scrimgeour doesn't seem ruthless and strong willed, he seems puny and pathetic. The actor needs to be fired.

Books are amazing, you're all horrible people for suggesting otherwise.

Saw it today. Hated it. I hate all movies produced these days. Although, I didn't dislike this movie for the same reason I disliked say... Iron Man 2... It's just too dark and gloomy. Everybody dies. Not enjoyable to watch, imo. As a book? Sure. As a movie/saga, not so much...
