How would you change (AKA nerf) Meta Knight?! :P

As the title says. I just wonder how people here would nerf or change the best character in the game if they could :p.

Personaly I like Meta Knight and enjoy his style of play but he undoubtly is on the easy side and could have some more weaknesses exept being really lightweight.

I think that Meta Knights style fits perfectly to his character so I wouldnt change the lightning speed that he boasts. Still his killing moves are a bit to easy to pull off. Also he is prety mindless when it comes to Tornado. My changes will actually consist of nerfs and buffs also :p.

So my changes would be:

-reduce the knockback of D-smash and Shuttle Loop by 40%
-reduce the aerial mobility and priority of the tornado
-make him have increased hitstun then other characters from throws
-reduce the number of his mid air jumps by 1
-give Dimensional Cape's sword swipe killing potential (like 90% on Mario from middle of FD if fresh :p)
-increase F-Smash knockback by 15% :p


Thats the way I would do it :p. This way MK would still be blazing fast and could rack up damage easily and gimp prety well. Still my Meta Knight would have a problem on characters that have good throws since from a mistake he could get comboed much more easily. Killing potential from D-smash severly hindered while it still remains a good move :p. Same for Up-B. Gave killing power to Cape to justify using it more xD. Now Meta Knight is ballanced YAY! :D

It might be a silly idea for a topic but discuss anyway :p.

um....
reduce overall range, reduce shuttle loop knockback (but not d-smash he needs some killing moves) Make both swings of d-smash have same knockback, lower the strength of glide attack, make the entire tornado a hurt-box so he can be knocked out easier, speed up the start-up of DC, give up taunt invincibility frames for the hell of it, give him a very laggy d-air that has a spike sweetspot (similir in style to marios)

Reduce his range (especially on Fair, Dsmash and his dash grab...I mean that thing is ridiculous, it grabs from halfway across the stage!), make Dair and Uair have a little rest in between using them (like...no more stringing a million Uairs together...make there be a little wait in between) and give him some lag after Dsmash. Since glide attack has so much priority, shuttle loop could lose its invincibility frames to make that move less godly, but still keep it effective and very usable. Tornado isn't THAT bad, he can keep it in all its gayness.

And for god's sake, don't INCREASE or SPEED UP anything, Meta has plenty of advantages.

Take out the glide portion of his Up B, so he'll go up into the air then into a free fall. Reduced knockback on aerials.

That's about it.... xD

Less range. Give U-Air 10 more start-up frame. Give F-Tilt 5 more start-up frames. Less knockback on the shuttle loop. Take away Up B glide.

OR

Ban C-stick for MK

Hm, he's not good enough.

-Increase jumps by 4, although I'm happy with just 2 more
-Make Tornado have great knockback
-Make Drill Rush be like Tornado, only it sucks you in
-Cut all his moves lag off by 2 frames
-Make him have a projectile
-Increase Dsmash and Fsmash's range by at least 25%

I would at least take away his piority, range, and speed. Not by too much, but enough for him to have some bad matchups.

Make it so he actually has punishable cooldown and startup on all of his attacks (especially smashes), reduce his number of jumps by 1, add more punishable cooldown to Mach Tornado, nerf his glide, slightly reduce the knockback of his aerials, reduce his dash grab range, reduce the speed of his AAA a little, increase usefulness of Dimensional Cape.

Probably his "combo" attacks (i.e. Usmash, Ftilt, Fair, Bair), these attacks do more damage than needed. They need to do less damage. Also give him some more lag on his powerfull moves, or at least remove those moves completely and make him depend on gimping.
Less overall damage = harder time killing because more hits are needed.
And probably nerf his ridiculous range, it's too big for such a little guy.
Priority needs to be lowered a bit.

Change MK? Why would you want to do that? Buff everyone else. He's the only character in this game with versatility, aside maybe Snake.

Except give him a grab release animation of 60 on the ground. LOL
