@ Aephage Aephage You played well vs. the Sheik up until those last two stocks on FoD. You got caught in your shield a lot and sheik punished you every time for trying to jump out of it. You didn't really DI any of her combos, so you took a lot of percent. You threw out dash attack when she was high up in the air, either those were mistakes or just poor decisions. I definitely think you should upair more to zone her out when she's in the air. Don't over commit with jumping because that's where Sheik wants you to be if you jump first. I believe if you react to her jumping and do a well spaced instant upair, you can stuff her aerial shenanigans. You also need to grab the ledge more when she is offstage.
thanks man :)

Has anyone else started doing this yet?

I really wish my recording **** didn't get messed up so I could break it down a little more for you guys, I've gotten fairly clean with it and the application is really fun.
I'd appreciate more of a breakdown on how you're doing it consistently, because I've practiced trying to do that in the past and I could never get myself to consistently turn around. I would either end up dashing in the other direction because I would hit the control stick too fast or too hard, or I would fall off the platform before I even turned around, or I would turn around but not have enough momentum to carry me off the platform. Should I just practice it more? I know what happens, I guess I gotta just feel it out, cause it's really cool that you can do stuff like that in a match.

Honestly, I've been doing this for over a year. I don't get it 100% of the time though. I use it on Battlefield a lot so I can cross up my aerials or grab ledge quicker. I mainly use moonwalk though.

Have you ever heard of Fumbles before? I think he's from Ohio - he was in my pool at Big House and took the set, but it was pretty close. I'm wondering how this Sasha guy compares to him. Uair out of shield destroyed me that set tbh.

Do you know that there's no "reverse hitbox". The direction the victim is sent at is determined by the relative positions of the central bones of the characters, i.e, if the opponent is in front of you he is sent forward. Since the reverse fair is the same move, it's kb is same as is it's kb angle. The range of it behind your back is very small compared to forward, so it's pointless to try to reverse fair unless you cannot turn, for example when you are on the ledge.

Edit: Trying to trick DI sounds like a legit reason to reverse fair.

Reverse fair is amazing and really useful imo. Any time you can combo into a fair but you're facing toward the stage, reverse fair instead. It's pretty easy if you hit with the top hitbox.

Into combos of course, mix up their DI a little bit. =) I tried styling recently with reverse Fair edgeguard but i failed everytime, the hitbox just doesnt work out that well that way.

Also... new vids from New years. =D It's good to be getting Sheik practice finally. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL65IMg9w1B_j8OEeU9tRW7lsoAsWo9mtW

There was a gif made of my last match on stream. So I guess I am going to share it even though this happened more because of what my opponent did then what I did.

**** yes dude. So cool to see your progress!

Sorry I've been so inactive guys. Didn't have data on my mobile and I've been traveling a lot. What has everyone been up to? This month is about to be maybe the most smash filled month ever for me. Gonna list off the tournaments I'm attending.

Today -- WATO, the legendary Hungrybox tournament series. Typical stacked Orlando local.
9th to 11th -- Kumite in Tennessee, ft M2K, Iori, Pikachad, j00t
17th to 19th -- Paragon.

And then Apex at the end of the month. Who is going to any of these?

I've come close to landing that combo (I picked the wrong side :'( ). I've gotten the edge-canceled dair, but I usually opt for fair or something or another dair. I have not entrained the reaction for utilt...but god is it amazing. I think it works on Falco too just a different percent.

Yeah that's the main problem. You have to fish so hard for it, or read a tech-roll/getup/getupattack underneath one of those ledges. I think it's easier to catch them on a tech-option. Most of my friends know better than to hang out near ledges now since I edge-cancel dairs and use the shield-stun to grab. If I ever get it in tournament on stream I'll retire from melee forever.

shrug. I don't know the matchup at all, time to put in some labwork and find out what things of his I can actually punish. Other than that set I played really well, and I took mike haze to game 3.
Got some sets recorded but they haven't been uploaded yet, I'll link them in the near future.

Stomp to reverse fair is a good di mixup at mid-percent beneath a platform. Get on top of the platform after the stomp and then do it. It beats bair honestly in that situation, but ur positioning while aiming the fair is what makes up most of the mindgame there

Ya if you get it, we can get some good sessions going on and put it on youtube. ;) If you play locally then the lag is almost non existent.
