I'm going to be assuming Diddy next week in the same fashion Zelda closely followed Rosalina.

So the Nintendo Direct this time has shown one thing clearly:
There is no need to promote any 1st party title. While Pokémon X/Y and Super Mario 3D World got at least something in the Pic of the Day description underlining the release of the games, I think we got nothing for Game&Wario(however at that time around, Sakurai promoted Pikmin3) and we got nothing for DKC:TF.
I thought Game&Wario would have been because at the early stage of character reveals, there was only one character per month to be expected and Sakurai choosing Pikmin3 over Game&Wario. However this time, there was only one game that could have been promoted and still, he did not even mention it in the description of Pic of the Day and instead he prefered to speak about Valentine's Day.

Little Mac wasn't surprising in the sense almost everyone had him in his roster. However the question may be if the reveal were absolutely unpredictable and here I have to say we might have been able to see it coming. Why? Well, Next Level Games making Punch Out! Wii remembered people to watch the Nintendo Direct. I thought they would reveal a new game they are working on but instead they just wanted to make sure people don't miss Little Mac's newcomer trailer. So maybe we should also keep an eye in the future on who wants us to see the Direct by tweeting or leading our attention on the Direct in an other way(example: pic of the day)

Still I feel very sad we did not see a Kong character this time and especially the release of DKC:TF in Japan got clearly ignored by Sakurai and that hurts even more.
I would like to see a DK character soon but I'm not sure if we were to see a veteran reveal next week already. It would make sense in order to push DKC:TF in western markets and in order to remember japanese people DKC:TF is already out there.

Not bad but what about the other colors I'm sure ridley will be purple if playable also mewtwo

Anyway we can add something if sakurai tweets or something about a thing showing trailers(directs/E3/or other special events These are examples) thats a hint for a newcomer because sakurai tweeted about a direct for sonic and rosalina and now little mac but NOT luigi which did not get a trailer

Well, seeing as Little Mac was revealed, which was awesome. Our initial thoughts of Diddy being revealed on the 13th were proven false. I'm a little happy about that, since we got someone awesome in return. Personally, I would guess the next possible reveal for Diddy could be on the 21st of this month. Yoshi seems like a good choice for March as well. But from then, I can't really say who would show up and when. But even then, none of that is set in stone.

This is actually pretty interesting.

If this is true, what is the significance of the colors blue & green.
I think this topic may be deserving of its own thread.

It was just a pattern that I noticed when Rosalina was announced and I figured I would share it after Little Mac was shown. I wasn't really serious about the suggestion. But if a fire emblem character was shown regardless of who they are would probably still be blue. If Palutena was Released she would probably be Green and K rool would definitely be green. I don't know what color Takumaru would be and thats really about it Aside from (Krystal Geno and Lyn). I noticed A LOT of smash Characters are Blue and Green.
