The new Xbox was just announced.

The name is "XboxOne" and it will be released before christmas of this year. The name is almost as bad as "WiiU." Its a really really boring/bland black brick box that has a mega upgraded boring/bland black "kinect" on top of it. Forza 5 and CoD:Ghost were announced. The only cool thing out of this conference was the NON GAMING (which is ironic) stuff. This is pretty much Minority Report stuff. Sliding and grabing windows/voice control/auto sensing......ect

It was reported that the cheering during the reveal was not from the press coverage.

How amusing...

Xbox One second-hand games will charge a fee to play
Games will be playable offline after all.
By Jeffrey Matulef Published 21/05/2013

Microsoft has confirmed that second-hand copies of Xbox One games will only be playable if the user pays a fee.

The console manufacturer confirmed this to Wired, where it strongly suggested that game installations would be mandatory. "On the new Xbox, all game discs are installed to the HDD to play," the Redmond-based company explained.

Because of this, each disc will be tied to a single account lest consumers simply pass a disc around and have all their friends install the game, then play it without the disc. This is why the second-hand fee is being implemented.

When asked what if a person just wanted to play a game from the disc without installing it, Microsoft didn't have a response, further suggesting that playing a game without fully installing it won't even be an option.

Elsewhere, Microsoft addressed the "always-online" rumours, stating that you'll be able to play games offline. "It does not have to be always connected, but Xbox One does require a connection to the Internet," Microsoft confusingly stated on its official site. "We're designing Xbox One to be your all-in-one entertainment system that is connected to the cloud and always ready. We are also designing it so you can play games and watch Blu-ray movies and live TV if you lose your connection."

Im glad MS got the bad news about their system out of the way early. That way, they can focus on what they failed to announce yesterday.....xbo GAMES. With a good set of games, people will forget about how ****ty the system will be. Since Nintendo is only doing closed door conferences (super stupid), Sony should win this by default. Ignore Vita, finish off ps3 and focus all on ps4.

Vita cant be ignored since it's suppose to be a strong part of the ps4 (and needs more games)
Well yea both vita/ps4 are both 8th gen so yeah maybe you are right. Even though its got some sweet games, no one is buying the damn psv. I know the ps4 will sell but honestly what would drive people to get a psv to use as a controller when the ps4 controller has a touch screen too?

Oh. That's a bit of a letdown somehow.

Or a really good punchline.

Nintendo has confirmed that Mario, Mario Kart and Smash Bros. will appear in a Nintendo Direct before E3. The news comes via Nintendo of America’s Twitter account, which wrote “#IwataSays We will discuss new Smash Bros., 3D Mario game, Mario Kart and other Wii U titles in our #NintendoDirectNA before the start of E3.”

Umm, I said it will have smash in the next direct. And the title confirms even that. More proof?

One direct before E3 LEFT. Maybe you need to go back to a 3rd world country to learn reading comprehension since you can't handle advanced civilization methods, but that means there is one direct from NOW until E3. You liberal, obama luvin rainbow trout.
