Nomadic Troopers are still slowed by sand...they are the same class, just different names...

Yes. Again, skills are more important than stats. You''ll naturally max out almost all stats through level ups and items. You want to go for the best skills, especially on higher difficulties.

There aren't many sand levels in the game. Acrobat is fairly useless except for a handful of levels.

Pretty sure Henry, Lon'qu, and Gaius can pass it on as well.
He doesn't just get both Bow Knight and the Thief line naturally, does he?
I'd assume he doesn't, but then Flavia and Anna do...

Acrobat helps with forested terrain as well, which is much more common.
