Houston Thread - No HOBOs and no WHOBOs. What do we do now??????????????????????????????????????????

What side event should i include in my tournaments?

Show me a well-put-together, moderately challenging hack, and I'll be more than happy to sit down with it and give it a fair shot.

In other news, I've been playing the first Phoenix Wright game. Holy crap this game is good. It's so well written, I haven't been able to put it down. Also, it's super funny, and I've laughed out loud several times. The characters are all really unique and memorable, too.

The only thing is, every time I see Edgeworth, I think of those Phoenix Wright gifs Inui used to post all the time when he'd be making a point.

Way off topic but the mall that's next to me has literally 20+ totally empty rooms(varying sizes) for cheap rent. Would anybody be interested in a tournament there? I have not made any commitments yet, I'm just asking.

It's a dying mall so that's why there are so many open rooms. There is a food court and Mexico/Italiano/fast food near by as well.

I don't think it's safe(turnout wise) for a whobo5 when it comes to brawl. I STRUGGLED to get the tx turnout that I did. Especially if I stuck with my guns and did mk legal.

Oh I meant mk banned. Typo.

But yea I don't see my attendance doing good if I do mk banned and I def don't wanna do mk legal. I mean I could always say "F it," do mk legal and tell people to deal with it. I don't know.

The mall idea would have been a normal HOBO though. It feels odd ending the HOBO series at 38. I kinda wanna get it to 40 cause it looks better that way IMO.

So I'm not the only one who thinks 38 is an odd number to look at. I'd actually save money just to go to this event if it happened.

I will not support an attempt to turn brawl into melee. If u want melee, go play melee.

And yea I've thought about melee. But I would have do drop all brawl side events in order to do everything in 2 days.

Mall of the Mainland. It's the only mall that's NEAR me. It's pretty much dead.

But again, if I use that venue it would be for a HOBO. WHOBO 5 would be back at D&B.

I'm only allowed 2 days

Brawl 1vs1 pools
Brawl 2vs2
Brawl bracket
Melee 1vs1 pools
Melee 2vs2
Melee bracket

Doing that in 2 days^ is hard but far easier than adding more events like

Brawl 1vs1 mid+low
Brawl 2vs2 mid+low
Brawl crews
Melee 1vs1 mid+low
Melee 2vs2 mid+low
Melee crews


It gets even harder/impossible if setups are low and turnout is semi high or high. I have to include side events because the turnout is always high for those and in whobo4's case it made people like shaky/ryo/will and many others went just for those side events.

I'm only good with Peach in Melee... Lol everyone else I choose fails -.-
Her downsmash is like broken compared to the one in brawl though.
