Thats fine. Thats your belief.I believe we humans know nothing about a 'God' and anyone who claims they know is crazy.
you do not have to have a degree in anything nor have a job in order to understand god/heaven/hell.I find it funny we still can't grasp things on this Earth, let alone the entire universe. Yet we can find random Joe with his GED education and he'll tell you everything about God and Hell and Heaven and know it like the back of his hand.
I find that funny that so many people claim of this 'God' without a SINGLE bit of evidence ever displayed.
This is kinda hard to explain but ill try. Depending on who you talk to(tv christians/REAL christians/fake christians....ill explain later), you will get the term "my god" as a "*sticks chin up* well if u dont believe in ABC u go to hell." Others use it causally like "Yea, my god is really great. you should learn about him" and some use it so that it doesnt offend people because if you say "my god" it means you are talking about the god YOU believe in and not necessarily the god the other person may or may not believe in. TBH its not that big of a deal, just annoying if used incorrectly.also the one bit you said about "my God" is a very strong point and a HUGE flaw with religion and one my biggest complaints with it. people like to claim that their God is the only God and anyone who worships a different one is wrong and God will punish them.
First lets address BABIES! Babies who die before birth(miscarriage) or like at a really young age like 3 or w/e. The bible says(in Matthew/Ezekiel/Job/Jeremiah/Deuteronomy...not sure of the exact verse) many times that that babies are innocent and are not capable of knowing good/evil and not capable of understanding the word of god so if they die prematurely they are auto sent to heaven.so by mere chance you're born in a different region and raised Hindu, Muslim, Buddhism, etc. you're now ****ed because your believes don't fit the believes of Christianity. btw I'm just using Christianity as one example, you could flip the tables on any religion and make the same case.
It says in the book of Peter that god WANTS everybody to join him in eternal life but will not FORCE them because it is their choice. This include famine/war torn areas of the world. Luckily, 99% of these areas receive missionaries and religious materials all the time. There is a chance for them to be saved.and isn't it very narcissistic? you pray to God and you get over your sickness, you do a good job, and now you claim God is so great and he's blessed you. yet millions are suffering as we speak and no one will come to their calling, sadly. so are you just one of the lucky ones while others suffer?
Incorrect. Both examples(crusades/911) were carried out by EXTREMISTS that believe in a TWISTED/CORRUPTED version of their religion. The 911 wackos believe in a heavily altered extreme version of the Quran while the Crusade dummies(Christopher Columbus, pope and others) more or less took the Bible and basically did the same thing. The people you called out do indeed think that they are in a better place and that what they did was the "will of god." The problem is, what they believed/stood for is NOT what the Quran/Bible stood for/say.by religious standards, the people that destroyed the Twin Towers are now in a better place because they crashed those planes for God's will. who's to say they did something wrong? they did it for God, so it must be right, right?
The Crusades, commanded by the Pope and the Catholic church, is perfectly fine because all the killings were in the name of God.
Ive wondered about this very thing myself. Jesus/others walked around and healed people, Water turned to wine, Seas were parted....ect what happened to all that? Do miracles happen in this day in age? I believe they do but not as extreme as some of the ones mentioned in the bible. If you are interested in an example, look up "Juliane Koepcke." There are other examples of current day miracles like the the few people who have been able to lift cars/trucks and even SEMIs off people ALL BY THEMSELVES. Certain scientists will tell you its ABC/XYZ or even 123 that caused my two examples to happen as long as it does not side with god/miracles/religion because those things are not LOGICAL or material evidence/proof. They do not want to accept that it was divine intervention.come on people, stop living in a fairy tale. and according to the Bible and other sources, all sorts of miracles used to happen. what happened to all these phenomenons? did God get lazy or just stop caring?
This is where the FAKE Christians/TV Christians come in. These types of "Christians" do exactly what you described. Basically faith by fear. This is 100% incorrect and does you no good because you dont TRULY believe in god/his word. You are just afraid of "hell." Its these very "religious leaders" that make TRUE Christianity(the ones that teach BY/FROM the book and ONLY from the book) look the way it currently does in this day in age.yes religion is a mask. people want comfort and want to feel like they know what happens so they claim their belief in God. people are literally scared in to believing in God. when I was younger I was told if you are good and believe in God you'll go to heaven. But if you're bad you will burn in hell for eternity. do you know how scary that is for kids? I was scared ****less so I forced myself to have "faith." once I grew older and thought objectively I grew out of this though, but still. It isn't surprising that so many people are religious still. they are scared straight when they are young and are practically brain washed because who would want to burn for eternity?
i really dont know how to address this because i dont think i can put into words what im thinking......I believe students should grow up with an OBJECTIVE view on things and let them decide their own fate. instead, religion is shoved down their throats like a BBC so most of them have no other option. good news is that we are in the Information Age and we now have outlets to discover more information.
Im not gonna say you have contradicted yourself but i will say that your words are proof you DO think that there COULD be SOMETHING of divine qualities. THAT is your conscience. This very thing/notion is inside all of us. We just choose to listen to it or dont listen to it.btw I'm not an atheist and I consider myself Agnostic. I don't necessarily rule out some form of deity,
LOL from what you have been taught, neither would i. This isnt a mark on YOU, just the people that taught/told you.but I don't imagine him ANYTHING like the way religions portray him.
Actually, some of us do. While we may not be able to stand up and say "BOOM *shows material evidence* here is god/christ and/or his work" we have something called FAITH. I am not sure if i know the CORRECT words to describe what FAITH is.I JUST DON'T KNOW. and neither do any of you.![]()
Hear is the thing, science is DESTINED to "prove" god/his work doesn't exist. Why though? Because when godless creatures search for godless answers in a sumbject that is godless......they are gonna find godless answers and place them on godly things(hence the "scientific reasons" why "miracles" do not exist). This has ALWAYS been the case.I'm not saying a God couldn't exist per se, I'm arguing against religion and people who claim they DO know God exists. until God shows his existence or science figures everything out(neither will happen) I stand on saying I don't know.
God does exist. The bible is living material proof. The examples i gave you at the top of this post are material proof. And the "open mind" you claim to have is actually choosing not to believe the word of god which is right in front of you. But that is your choice.and if a God did exist, what would he have against people with an open mind when he has given us no signs that he exists? I get punished for that according to religious beliefs? yeah okay I'll take my gamble.
Im not trying to change the way you think. im fully aware you will not change based off of me and my posts. im just correcting the things you say are "fact" or "true"nothing you say will change my stance on any of my beliefs and it won't be anything that I haven't heard before.
This is actually a good thing.I've listened to great thinkers on both sides. I've listened to various atheist arguments and various religious arguments from some of the most brilliant thinkers on said subjects. so I'm just going to say this now: you don't have to bother trying to convince me otherwise. I've come to my own conclusion: both sides have valid arguments, but still not enough evidence to prove me otherwise. Therefore I stand by saying I don't know.
I agree, you do not need religion to be a "good" person("good" is relative). But to be saved/go to heaven requires more than just being "good".edit: and I should point out religion has done good things for many people. whether God exists or not, it does bring morals and leads people to living in the right way. I don't believe that you need religion to be a good person, but it certainly has helped many people.
no no dont be like that. for once, my post is not trolling.Xyro hath spoken.![]()
whoa really? YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSZero is broken in ultimate mugen vs crapcom 3

the bible is a fictional book dude, however helpful or good it may be, christians treat the bible like illmatic treats the PR.
Who's throwing the party?i will not be posting here anymore.
EDIT: before u start, please know that im not acting like i know everything or that i am the high and mighty Zair Savior. im not saying u will burn in fire n brimstone if u dont agree with me or w/e. just read it for what it is.
Thats fine. Thats your belief.
you do not have to have a degree in anything nor have a job in order to understand god/heaven/hell.
There is actual evidence if you research(pieces of noahs ark/"great flood" fish bones/dead sea scrolls and even possibly jesus tomb have all been found) a little bit. The actual BEING called Jesus Christ is WELL documented on being a real person. The other "evidence" you require is something no one can touch/see/smell/taste. Its called FAITH.
This is kinda hard to explain but ill try. Depending on who you talk to(tv christians/REAL christians/fake christians....ill explain later), you will get the term "my god" as a "*sticks chin up* well if u dont believe in ABC u go to hell." The bible says(in Matthew/Ezekiel/Job/Jeremiah/Deuteronomy...not sure of the exact verse) many times that that babies are innocent and are not capable of knowing good/evil and not capable of understanding the word of god so if they die prematurely they are auto sent to heaven.
As for the example you used aka people who have not been exposed to Christianity, they had and will continue to have chances to believe in christ/become saved untill the day they die. When you were born, you were given a conscience. Obviously, right off the bat(babies) you cannot listen/comprehend what your conscience is saying because you are not capable of discerning evil from good. Once you become of age(the bible does NOT give us an exact age) you are able to tell/feel what is evil/good on a BASIC level through your conscience. This also leads you to the understanding(at the most basic of level) of god and what he stands for(good). Knowing this, it is now up to you to pursue "knowing christ" and "his word." This can be found in the book of Romans/Ezekiel iirc.
The point is, you are guided in the direction of christ(at the most basic of level) through your conscience and other mediums like tv/books/internet/missionaries/radio(assuming your country applies to these examples) that there is really no excuse in this day and age. You CHOOSE to pursue knowing christ or you CHOOSE not too. And you will be judged accordingly.
What about the people(like my wife's brother(john) who was born with cerebral palsy) who were born with extreme physical defects that lead to mental defects or just plain born with mental defects? In the example of cerebral palsy, John has the mind of a 7 year old even though he LOOKS like his age of 23 years old. He cannot speak a sentence more than about 5 words nor can he tie a shoe. He even has a hard time understanding/carrying out simple commands like "john, get me cup of water." Asking him what time/day/month/year it is is out of the question. Sometimes he cant even tell you his name. Will he auto go to hell? I do not remember of a book/chapter/verse in the bible addressing this issue but i assume he will be treated like a baby who dies early. Because John nor the baby are not capable of discerning evil from good so im pretty sure they are auto heaven.
It says in the book of Peter that god WANTS everybody to join him in eternal life but will not FORCE them because it is their choice. This include famine/war torn areas of the world. Luckily, 99% of these areas receive missionaries and religious materials all the time. There is a chance for them to be saved.
Now obviously, there may be exceptions to this and if that is so i would assume they would auto go to heaven.

i really dont know how to address this because i dont think i can put into words what im thinking......
First, what you were told/taught about god/hell....ect at an early age was 100% wrong. 2nd, the bible is the law(if you will) and if you do ANYTHING other than adhere to it, you have sinned. Being "objective" or "open" is increasing the risk of you sinning because as said before the bible is law and there is no need to be "objective/open" to what is law. Whether you believe me or not, it does matter, you have a CHOICE in all of this.
Now before you quote me and go crazy, please remember i said im having a hard time explaining what im thinking so you are probably reading it in a worse way than i want you to.
Im not gonna say you have contradicted yourself but i will say that your words are proof you DO think that there COULD be SOMETHING of divine qualities. THAT is your conscience. This very thing/notion is inside all of us. We just choose to listen to it or dont listen to it.

EDIT: again, please do not read this and think im making fun of you, saying im better(im not, i sin just like you) than you or that you are going to hell for not believing in what i believe in. Im just speaking on what i KNOW and what my opinions are on the matter.
God does exist. The bible is living material proof.
