So go ahead and go read your harry potter books. Ill WATCH it.
lol pj, its RT. He just joins the "lets bash allan for his opinions" wagon
If you are serious, I'll be there tonight.I'll house you for a couple of months.
When the other cities aren't around. Is the Houston scene like this in person? O_o
HURR DUR BLAH BLAH DERPSo I guess in summary...
-You're a ****** if you don't agree with Allan.
-98% of the population are ******* because of this.
-school is boring
I'm glad we had this healthy argument.
are you serious? They're going to be called Future Foundation.
Yep...
tell that to zigstaNa uhhhhhhhh no such thing as ssj9 !!!!!!!!!
I agree with this post SOOOOOOOO much. You can't imagine it.So I guess in summary...

I'm glad we had this healthy argument.
And this one.How are u informed if the last book you've completed (YOUR OWN WORDS) is Hank the Cowdog? How have you completed trillions of books if the last book YOU STATED YOU completed is Hank the Cowdog?
I'll make it simple so you can understand
Your not smart enough considering your standards of reading to GENERALIZE literature and to try and FORMULATE GENERAL FACTS ABOUT IT. And judging from what you wrote about it and your comments afterwards, we're saying you haven't read enough books to formulate a educated opinion about literature. Thats it. The end. We never had a problem about your opinion, never had a issue of your feelings about movies, the only problem we had was that. Will our thoughts change, nope. Can you change them in your current state, nope.
I'll put in dragon ball Z terms. We're like SS4 Goku and ur like Raditz. Your like "Man super saiyan is overrated" and we're like "wtf u can't even go SS1, hell you can't even break a scouter how you gonna tell us it's overrated."
Kinda like that
Okay I'm bored off to class
There Is only one way I will argue this stuff with you. If u can correctly answer the following question: who or what caused the most recent economiic recession?Guys if you argued about the economy I would have sooo much fun with you all [:
I'd like to pop in and say this is wrong and ignores an industry that is now larger in growth and profit than the film industry. Gaming. The gaming industry has grown enormously despite economic hardship in nearly every other sector.I read an article a year ago that said in times of depression, all fun, extraneous activities don't make much profit...except for movies.
Popularity is not equivalent to quality, nor should this ever be an argument other than "film is where the money is, therefore from an economic standpoint it is superior." And from an economic standpoint? It is. Film is, like you said, much easier to digest. This is a strength of the format. People like Allan can watch a screen for two hours instead of having to sound out what Hank may or may not have been doing. The world of film is much more lucrative on the whole than books. Few books today reach the literary equivalent of "blockbuster" status.
Define what the "most recent economiic recession" was. There Is only one way I will argue this stuff with you. If u can correctly answer the following question: who or what caused the most recent economiic recession?
Dude, I love you so much. Two things I'd quickly like to correct here.

Avatar may have made a poopload of money, but is it the best movie in existence? I could go into depth how blockbusters pander to archetypal stereotypes and give prime examples of slaughtering meaning of the work that is not uncommon to even non-literary adaptations (while it was an adaptation, I would definitely cite I am Legend here) because it sells better than telling a story that doesn't end in "and they lived happily ever after." I'm not going to. All media formats have their strength, but I disagree that film tells a better story than literature.
And that Allan is simply wrong for saying emotional response is something film can provoke and literature is unable to.
I'm glad you have a passion, and it's obvious you don't withdraw from any other media format despite having this passion. Keep on truckin', Zigsta.
Definite "most recent."
Totally agree with you on that. I brought that up in my argument solely to prove that from a financial basis, more people watch movies than buy books.Popularity is not equivalent to quality, nor should this ever be an argument other than "film is where the money is, therefore from an economic standpoint it is superior." And from an economic standpoint? It is. Film is, like you said, much easier to digest. This is a strength of the format. Ok so THAT is what's bothering you. U miss understood me. I never said books cannot provoke an emotional response( I'm sure someone out there was sad that snape killed dummydor). What I mean is it can't give you the more vivid(IMO) emotional response that a movie can. Due to camera view/music/atmosphere/ and the over all fact u can SEE it. Notice how in all my posts I say IMO. It means it's my take on why books ain't better than movies. And that Allan is simply wrong for saying emotional response is something film can provoke and literature is unable to.
Just because you say "this is my opinion" doesn't mean what you are saying is actually an opinion. You have posts that say, "******** books can't do that."Ok so THAT is what's bothering you. It's my opinion that books are ******** and that they cant best movies when it comes to certain aspects. How did u not see that in my posts?Just because you say "this is my opinion" doesn't mean what you are saying is actually an opinion. You have posts that say, "******** books can't do that."
see I'm willing to accept that opinion.IMO hammers can't hammer nails because IMO nailguns are better in every way.
^THISOk, all of you need to listen to panda bears person pitch. It will heal your soul.
Toy Story, easily. I learn something new about the film literally every time I watch it.By the way, what is your favorite movie of all time? I like hearing what buffs think is the best.
If you can use your imagination books give you more vivid emotions, because the books go into greater detail. you the reader decides what the atmosphere is like. you don't need to see things to have a "vivid emotion."Ok so THAT is what's bothering you.
