I'd much rather have Reyn as an AT just so i can hear some of his familiar phrases- "IT'S REYN TIME!" when summoned, "HAMMAHHH BEAT," when attacking and, "MAHN WHATA BUNCH A' JOKERS!" when leaving.

Unfortunately, I think I read that Reyn is far less popular in Japan then in the West. Possibly because the translation and voice actor made him meme-tastic.

Running through the solar system was crazy. I kept thinking about how it was getting more and more epic, like the ending of the anime Gurren Lagann. The whole time when Dickson kept running away leaving telethia and other creatures behind i was yelling at my tv about how i wanted to fight him and i wanted him to be a horrible monster. I was happy when i got my wish and he was killed afterwards, though i did feel for Shulk. It's funny how there's only one good guy in the tutorial...Also, i sort of didn't understand why Shulk and Zanza looked so similar. Originally i thought it was because Shulk was his host and Zanza was using in his image, but the ending in the space station proved that wrong. I guess they just looked alike...?

I took it that Zanza living in his body transformed Shulk to look like him. Basically, Shulk grew into Zanza.

There have been a couple of theories on the Shulk/Zanza thing. The two I see the most are Zanza molding Shulk and Zanza waiting for his "perfect host." I like the second theory, personally, as he spent a lot of time inactive and Zanza was the sort to have the vanity issues that would make waiting for someone that looks like you to make sense. The first theory also does not take into account that Zanza's first host looked nothing like him, although he apparently did not infect him when he was a child.

Also, I think they could have done Dixon's turn a bit better. He should never have doubted himself or wanted to turn on Zanza or anything, but he clearly felt sympathy towards the Homs and that should have been shown more. I did like his death scene though, still proud, refusing to let the others see him defeated.... smoking a cigarette and being proud of Shulk a bit (the student has surpassed the teacher or something like that.)

Now that Xenoblade Chronicles X is an official 2015 game, I may yet do another playthrough of Xenoblade Chronicles with some more time now on hand.

Running through the Solar System while engaging against previous foes was an excellent path to the final battle with Zanza. It really looked gorgeous to me, and set the mood, as I'm certain it did to everyone here as well.

Speaking of Xenoblade Chronicles X, I had noticed that the art diection in cut-scenes (specifically the character designs) have taken on a Xenosaga styled appearance; I've seen a lot of comments saying that there has been a drop in graphical fidelity, but that isn't the case; When you go to watch game-play, it keeps what it has shown in the previous trailers of the game. I've no problem with them, personally (I actually own the Xenosaga games, and so it's more familiar to me), but I just thought that I'd mention it (not to mention that we know the scope of this game is going to be massive, and that there will be more focus on the visual scaling and enviromental graphics rather than the characters, as Xenoblade Chronicles has already proven).

That would take me quite some time to read basically the whole thread @_@ I'll probably do it at some point though...

I've NEVER seen a character that is both fully customizable and silent be even slightly interesting, except for maybe in MMO's but that is just because you invest so much of yourself into that character.

This is all just my opinion of course, but it does make me a bit nervous.

Personally if I look at the pictures of Xenoblade Chronicles graphics running on the Dolphin Emulator, and then compare them to X... I can really see the similarities.

There are a number of reasons why this is the case

I've been hearing that online play will be a thing in the new Xenoblade, if that's true then the reason is obvious, it wouldn't be as fun to play the same character as everyone else. Speaking of which, you can change your class in the new game, another feature that helps to make your character unique, and possibly add a lot replay value

I'm going to be honest. If I can't get attached to the silent main character in X, then I'll probably ignore the main character and switch them out for the characters that actually talk and just use them. LOL. I'll find the main character that I like out of the others. XD

On the bright side, in Smash 5 if theres a character who's awesome but not the main protagonist, they have a good chance compared to generic non talking avatar that doesn't have a default look.

Yeah. I didn't really like how Melia was treated. I know that she was supposed to be the "strong princess" and all, but seriously. She got screwed over biggggg time. Her father and brother died. She almost was assassinated by order of her step-mom. She lost most of her race, and of course, got no love in the end. I can see why the producers did this to further character development and in general just angst, but I wish Melia would've gotten a sign that there's light at the end of the tunnel.

Also, to be honest, I wanted her to end up with Dunban since she couldn't be with Shulk. The guy's a bad*** 30 year old bachelor and has a mature outlook on life. He and Melia would've been a nice couple. The age difference is a tad odd, but Melia is still technically older than him by like 58 years or so.

I believe Shulk is one of his most wanted newcomers, though at the same time I don't remember what characters he exactly stated. I know only about Shulk and Magnus.

I was quite impressed with what I saw with the new game. Regardless of what ends up happening with Shulk in Smash, the series at least appears to be growing into something that can grow.

Crap. Now I have a problem.
I love watching Chugga's Let's Plays. But I still have a copy of the game that I have yet to complete. I'm still at Satorl Marsh, and there's no way I will be able to keep up with his playthrough. But again, I love watching his playthroughs.
So the question is, do I watch the playthrough and spoil myself of the game's plot (but enjoy Chugga), or do I restrain myself from watching until I beat the main story? If the latter, that's going to be really freaking hard...
