Riki's Biter would be a pretty unique item with the back damage. Honestly can't think of another weapon in Xenoblade that would work.

Unfortunately we may not anything from Xenoblade Chronicles until Shulk gets revealed, or the games come out.

Hmm... I'm starting to think that this is Shulk.

That character doesn't have the red jacket that Shulk has, but his facial features look a lot like Shulk.

His nose, eyebrows, mouth, head shape, and nose look remarkably similar to him. Thanks to you for lighting up that pic, that hair looks like a golden blond hair, much like Shulk's is. His hairstyle is also very similar to Shulk's as well, albeit shorter.
One thing of concern is that their eye color is different; Shulk's eye color is blue while the mysterious character has green eyes.
I believe that this character is either Shulk or is a descendant of Shulk much like Chrom is a descendant of Marth.

Could it somehow be zanza? I just have the feeling that somehow...he isn't dead for some reason. The fact that he spent so long in Shulk makes me wonder.

More than likely though, its probably either Shulk or a descendant like what's already been suggested.

I completely agree with you. Riki's Biter is an item I would choose.

It's honestly really hard for me to pick an item, since most of the possible ones are weapons. We already have a few blaster items, and even more club/melee weapons than we've ever had.

If there's a Xenoblade item...hmm...yeah I'm actually at a loss for this one. How did Riki's Biters actually function in the game? They always struck me as a mace with teeth and I was never clear on it. Maybe one of Reyn's Gunlances? Those are cool. Uhhhh...

How about Melia's staff for an item? It can imagine it discharging fire, water or lightning magic randomly when you swing it with different after effects. I don't think we have many magic items yet either (although I guess she wouldn't be able to be an AT if this was the case....Fiora could make a swell AT anyways though).

FIORAAAAAAAAAAAAA should definitely be the Xenoblade AT (assuming we're only getting one, that is). Last I checked, she's the second most important character in Xenoblade and the second most-wanted Xenoblade newcomer in Japan.

Have her perform FInal Cross and maybe have it be similar to what Arceus does and we're golden.

The only item I would represent Xenoblade Chronicles with is an AT, solely because I don't believe any item in particular really sticks out (not any that come to mind, anyhow, though I suppose they could be random with it). As for which character should be an AT, I'd honestly be fine with any of the playable characters, though I feel Reyn or 7 would be the more ideal choices based on their 'better' relation to Shulk.

I've thought about how Xenoblade Chronicles ended a few times before, and it does leave a little to imagination, so to speak (though I don't necessarily mean in a bad way). I've never thought different that Zanza is indefinitely no longer, due to the thing with Alvis being some higher power / high-tech computer. To quote for reference, "I am the administrative computer of a phase transition experiment facility. But that will mean little to you. To you, I am a machine. That's my original form." Taking that from the context that is given, Alvis basically would have erased Zanza (and I suppose Meyneth, though she was dealt with) from existence.

Anyhow, from what we know right now, I feel as if X is in fact related to Xenoblade Chronicles. If the protagonist is indeed Shulk, I would assume the advancements in technology / modernization we have seen so far in X are from
the cooperative help of races such as the High Entia and the Machina coming together with the Homs. I also believe X may not be restricted to one planet, either (we know from the trailers that the ability to roam in space is apparent, and the newest game-play trailer having something possibly akin to the United States is quite suspicious). If the protagonist was to be Shulk's descendant, it's hard for me to say, but I feel it'd be some years after Xenoblade Chronicles's time, anyways. Then again, there's always the possibility that the game is unrelated, but whatever. Ha.

I say that it should be Reyn. He comes out screaming, "Now it's Reyn time!" and he takes damage for you while at the same time helps you by attacking the enemy.

The AT I would like the most from Xenoblade? The Mechonis. It would be the most powerful assist in the game. It would appear in the background, and the entire screen would start shaking. I'm not sure what exactly it would do other than that, but it would be so overpowered. And it would make allow this epic sight to unfold on every stage:

I'm probably grasping at straws, but I think the gems could be an item. Pick one up, and depending on the color, you get an increased stat. Pick up a green gem, you become faster, red for strength, orange for defense, etc.
I like the Biter idea others have brought up more though.

I feel as though the Gems might feel a bit overpowered in a regular Smash match or would feel better suited for Smash Run. They would probably give you a +5 stat boost in one area.

Agreed. I remember the first time I stepped onto the Bionis Leg, and out of nowhere I saw a "dinosaur" thing frolicking in the meadows.

Despite the red outlining its name, I approached it. Instant KO.

When I saw that, I thought, "Alright! Another weak Armu! Let's KO it!" *Shulk has a vision of it killing Reyn* I was confused... I tried to run away, but it one hit killed Reyn and I. When I saw its level... I was flabbergasted. Oddly enough, I was warned by a friend of mine that the Guar Plains had high leveled enemies like that.

Wow, I leave this thread for a day and there's a sudden burst of posts. Nice! Glad to see more Shulk support. I think Shulk is going to show up in X. I'm still pushing for Metal Face as a boss, plus Dunban, Reyn, or Fiora as an AT. Items are tough to come up with... I can't recall if someone suggested this, but what if a controllable mech is an item. When I first played Xenoblade I suffered many deaths because I was taken by surprise by high level enemies. I loved exploring the various environments and would always freak out when that "you're being targeted by an enemy" music started playing or when You Will Know Our Names kicked in out of nowhere. Good times. Can't wait to do another play through this summer.

Metal Face as a boss on a Prison Island stage is like, wet dream material as far as stages.

Granted, I'd honestly prefer background element, with battlefield-esque platforms and cool scenery, but Sakurai seems to be pushing the whole stage-boss gimmick (not really a fan of it, but whatever. FD versions are cool and all.) so there's that.

Still. Prison Island. ALL of the songs. Metal Face. Fanservice. Yay.

After seeing Mega Man's Final Smash, I think a Chain Attack with other characters like Dunban and Sharla would be really neat for Shulk.

The rest of the main cast would be great ATs.

I don't know if the "Shulk is too new"-argument is still on, but Greninja really counters that, because that's pretty much as new as it can get haha!

Anyway, I still don't have Xenoblade Chronicles but I did spend some time watching some gameplays and oh man, I really need to get the game (and see Shulk in Smash!).

I'm not convinced it tells us every newcomer, since he missed Rosalina.

Seeing as Sal has gotten more than one of the newcomer predictions right, I sure hope so. If we see the Chorus Men soon, then the leak will definitely be real for certain.

I do. People are quick to forget that the popular opinion was that neither the Villager, nor an X/Y newcomer would make it (which is to say that they're only obvious in hindsight). Successfully "guessing" both of these guys and WFT is too improbable, in my opinion, so I think the leaker is legit.

Also, Rhythm Heaven has some great music under its belt, so I'd like to see it get rep'd a lot too.

As we get closer to the release of the game, I keep thinking Shulk is more and more likely. The Sal leak was the most recent boost to my confidence. Like I said somewhere before, I doubt Chorus Men will be revealed prior to release if he is in the game. The leak has two of my most wanted characters, so I hope it is real, but at the same time I hope there are additional characters beyond the leak. The way I see it, if we have characters like WFT, Ice Climbers, G&W, and Villager, characters who you'd never expect to do any sort of fighting, Chorus Men doesn't seem like a great reason to automatically deem it false. And Rhythm Fever is very well regarded in Japan if I remember correctly, so I can see it happening. I believe it. He got Villager, WFT, and Mega Man all right. I think a fair amount of people could've expected Mega Man, but the way Capcom's been treating the series lately, his reveal certainly came as a surprise to me.

Yeah it's unfortunate that the things that could most easily prove the leak are unlikely to be revealed before the game's release. Just hope that "summer" mean July/ Early August and not later... Though on a personal side-note it's gonna be kinda disappointing playing Shulk for the first time in a Smash game on the 3DS and not in glorious HD if he's in.

To be honest... the fact that the game is coming this soon is kinda scary. I dunno if I'm prepared for this!
As a side note, I will be disappointed if the Xenoblade stage doesn't get its own version of Final Destination. Who wouldn't love to go in For Glory and listen to You Will Know Our Names?
