I don't think we'll have to wait that long, even if he isn't revealed at E3. I honestly expect some major visual leaks either before or after E3.

I just hope the Palutena guy pulls for us this time!
I saw a visual leak of Shulk on the 3DS... I was incredibly saddened when I found out that it got debunked.

As a side note, he's apparently super popular in Japan, so I'd expect he could still easily be revealed, he'd just be like Little Mac in reverse, to a lesser extent. Because I can still see the crowd at E3 (or whatever. They'll do a direct again.) going ****ing insane if he's revealed. I know I'd be doing that...

In all seriousness, this is going to be a big E3... just months away before SSB 3DS. I just hope that Sakurai reveals a character that will draw in some crowds so people can gain more interest in the game... and one of those characters is Shulk.

Don't get me wrong or anything. I want Shulk but he is not my favourite Xenoblade character. I like Fiora better and I think she would have an awesome movest to play with. I fully support Shulk though. Xeno is my favourite series ever and it would be so badass to have Shulk/Fiora and KOS-MOS as a rep for namco.

I think this is a great thread and we should all keep up the support for Shulk. He is already rumoured in so we shall not be disappointed at E3!

Well now that the "he's too new" argument can die in a fire (not that it had potential for anything anyway) I expect people to rate him higher based on Greninja. Add that to the leak, and the fact that it seems like new series are getting in more than veteran series...he's one likely character.

I expect everyone who's at least neutral on the leak is going to give him about 80% odds. I'll probably give him 85% myself, since I'm a believer of the leak, but want to leave room for it potentially not being true as well.

Even without it, his odds have been looking good for a while now, and not being shown as an AT especially helped.

I assume that we will see three or four characters at E3. It's E3 and it's months away from SSB 3DS; I'm pretty sure that they will hype the game with info and newcomers.

If Shulk's trailer goes into Palutena's trailer with a vision (or vice versa), it would be kinda funny because... well...

You can either find a copy of Xenoblade online or just hope that it is in your local GameStop. I have been searching for Xenoblade for months and I finally got a copy in December (or January?). It's a pretty rare game.

I don't fully believe this leak! I am 50/50 on it. He got 5/11 right, but I find this leak to hinge on the Chorus Men. If they're in, I'll believe the leak.
Whether you believe the leak or not, consider his pros and cons! Don't give him a 95% on the basis of the leak!

That's up to you on believing the leak, but I still find great credibility with Gematsu that makes me think he's playable, and he does have as much great reasons to be included as Lucas and Ness to back him up.

It was always baloney. Ike, Lucas and Lucario were very new when they were added to Smash.

Shulk used to be on the lower end of my top ten list, but now he has jumped up to my #1. Despite never playing his game, there's something about him I really like, and the more people talk about him, the more my interest rises (unlike Fire Emblem newcomers which is the complete opposite...). I hope we get some Xenoblade content in one of the PoTD's before E3.

Dumping random ideas.

-Playstyle being influenced as a user friendly versatile character that can be used for both offensive and defensive options. In particular a character that is efficient at teching techniques and likewise being able to punish teching himself. Sports good range but somewhat low power, with varies attacks that can complement any situation.
-Monado Purge being a projectile that is shot out, but is influenced by the direction of the control stick. If you preform the attack while tilting in the backwards direction, Shulk will jump backwards and shoot a slow large blast of ether that hits multiple times, if the control stick isn't tilted at all it functions as a standard projecitle and can be used in succession, while if the control stick is moved forward Shulk will jump forward and preform a very fast and strong projectile but also leaves him exposed.
-Monado Shield is both a shield and attack, being a attack that has a fast execution but a long duration that is designed for spacing and likewise punishing techs. It also sets up a shield for Shulk that makes him temporarily resistant to projectiles, and can also effect allies in team matches.
-An up aerial that is an electric charged over head swing from above that inflicts a lot of damage and little knockback, being more so designed to finish a combo.
-A down tilt that creates a small shock wave of ether that hits up to three times.

If there's something from Xenoblade pre Shulk, I think it would be very subtle or hard to notice. Otherwise it would be a dead giveaway. Do you guys think this song will be in X or just part of the trailer? Hopefully it is an indication of the good music to follow in X, although I doubt there would be a drop in quality between the games.

The loop eventually gets annoying, but it isn't the complete song.

I think that song will be in the final game with more lyrics and such. It's a pretty good song... I wish Nintendo would release a full version of this song! (as well as SSB4's main theme)

I saw many reviews and many of them say is one of the best JRPG from this generation and won many awards.
Yes he another sword character but I don't mind.
He have potential to be in Smash!
I don't know what to say more But there a reason I want him by tree:
1.He look perfect for smash
2.The environment is beautiful and look awesome to fight.

I'm really liking the Smash 4 theme. Melee was favorite and Brawl was a little too overdramatic for me. Hopefully at E3 we get the full version as the end is ambiguous.

Besides saying that's too spoilerific, I think something with visions or some epic Monado art that's not in his move set would be best. Maybe even a chain attack with break, topple, and a finisher from some of the Xenoblade supporting cast. I've seen some great move set ideas throughout this thread, but it won't be right for me if Shulk does not have visions incorporated somewhere

The game is getting less rarer due to recent prints. It's now $50 used ($44.99 if you're a GameStop Pro member).

I never got why "too new" was considered a bad thing for a character. I don't think "not many people know him/her" can really justify it either. I'd see it as more of a good way to get people interested in said character's game, small advertisement if you will. I probably never would've played EarthBound, Fire Emblem, or F-Zero if it weren't for Smash Bros.

At this point, I believe the leak. But I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be false. He's only missed Rosalina and didn't even say that this was the final list of newcomers.

I think I've said this before, but regarding stages, I would love to have Eryth Sea. That is one of the most captivating areas in Xenoblade, in my opinion. Having shooting stars would also be a super nice touch. I just hope we're not getting Tephra Cave or the Ether Mine. Those areas scared me to death. Especially Ether Mine, Mechon were far too scary.

Guy, just imagine they revealing Mewtwo in a trailer in Ether Mine. We all thinking the we are going to get Cerulean Cave as a stage, but instead, in the end of the trailer, we see Krabbles breaking some ether rocks. It would be amazing!
