Agreed. Sakurai has done several things like this before. For example, he showed the metroid assist trophy one day before the smash direct, which made a s**t storm over at the Ridley thread because everyone thought Sakurai hinted at Ridley. and we all know how that turned out
That and the fact that Sakurai hasn't exactly been known to reveal characters by showing their trophies before the actual character.
Still, that being said, I thought the pic of the day was fake when I saw it. Because I really do love Rayman and it seemed too good to be true that he'd be in the game in any capacity. This does seem to be a deconfirmation for now, though. DLC would be Rayman's best bet.

I will admit that I think the Rayman trophy is extremely left field, but yeah, I wouldn't worry about looking so hard into things when the reveal is literally only a couple hours away.

You are a dam liar, lol. Many of your posts in Isaac suport thread are the best example of Shulk hate. Go away. I will never support Shulk more than Isaac. And im constantly explaining what Isaac deserves as much if not more to appear in Smash. But im never rooting against Shulk like you did.

He never once hated on Shulk, he just didn't want Shulk to be announced today and didn't like the Gematsu leak (and wanted Isaac more). Which is exactly the same with me.
The difference is its never happened for a third-party before. Agreed on the notion that its unlikely.
I like to think Sakurai isn't aware of it at all.
It was hard to get excited for such a ****ty trainer like Palutena's. It is hands down the worst newcomer trailer so far.
While this is true, I just think everyone is jumping the gun a bit too much. The first thing I thought when I read the PotD was "Oh, this is a pretty cool homage to Ubisoft. This way third parties that don't make it on the roster may still be in the game in some form." Well, maybe I had a shorter thought process then that.
This scenario is true, I was just providing an example as how things are presented to us, it's guaranteed that we'll make a huge deal out of things when it could easily be something minor. But of course, that's where the fun lies!
