While this is true, I just think everyone is jumping the gun a bit too much. The first thing I thought when I read the PotD was "Oh, this is a pretty cool homage to Ubisoft. This way third parties that don't make it on the roster may still be in the game in some form." Well, maybe I had a shorter thought process then that.

I don't think anyone is actually against Shulk being in Smash. Some are just hoping he isn't announced today specifically.

I suppose from my point of view, I haven't had a great hit rate with getting playable characters I really really want. Couple that with the possibility that even if the gematsu leak isn't absolute there probably aren't many newcomers it hasn't mentioned. So if we got a non gematsu character that isn't Isaac I'll be totally sunk.

It's safer for my interests if Shulk (or I guess Chrom/Chorus Men to a lesser extent) appears today.

Rayman's trophy being in Smash is totally different from Wonder Red and other Nintendo characters being trophies. This is a fact.

Not sure why some are overreacting. It is very very likely that Shulk will be announced today, and not Rayman, Chrom, Chorus Kid or Ridley.

I dont dislike any of the newcomers or any of the leaked characters. But if we get Shulk, Chrom or Chorus Men today.

Because it's not guaranteed, the traces are so obvious so if it was somebody else, it would be even more devastating because we're getting kinda settled on it being true.

For me I will be super surpised if it's anyone but Shulk and probably be positive about it because that means everything is up in the air again (assuming it's a non gematsu) and that's pretty exciting character wise.
If it is Shulk I will just lay back, enjoy the show and hope for a good moveset.

I think it's because there's so much overwhelming evidence. It's easy to see Shulk is in. Too easy.
