Has a drill rush suicide ever cost you a match?

It just did for me. I was about to nado, got hit and did drill rush instead. I hate drill rush now. I see what that other guy was talking about now.

So uhh has it ever cost you a match?

Shouldn't you be able to curve the drill rush up? In conjuction with the little boost that pushes you up and back, you should be able to make it back to the stage.

Yes, but most of the time its too quick to react to.

At a tourney, a mario caped me over the edge while I was drill rushing, costing me the match and knocking me out of the tourney. >_>

0.o u lost to mario. you shouldnt even have been on ur last stock unless u face boss lol

but yea drill rush suicide in friendlies all the time i usually try to curve upwards and get fsmashes on the way to the eldge -_-

oh and when first playing mk i would drill rush and miss the ledge on FD or lylat

I'm usually able to curve it in time to prevent myself from dying. Either curve it up as much as possible and DI back towards the stage, or curve it directly into the ground to stop your movement. If you're already Drill Rushing near the edge it might be difficult to save yourself...

I have tips on using the Drill Rush.

Pros:
-semi-spike when you point it down
-you "bounce back" afterwards, assisting edgeguarding.

Cons:
-above thread.

once...in a 1v1 meant to tornado to ledge and drill rushed intead...... bad memories :p

you can drill into the side of final destination and since mk bumps back and up after the move u can stall on the ledge, but yea it cost me some when i first started with mk
