I found that rather useful for how to approach the characters I'm looking at.

I tried some of Bridget's oki tactics I found on Dustloop and the time window for them borders of being a combo. Oh well, I'm liking his pokes, antiairs, and especially his aerial mobility and oki potential with that yoyo. Though, I'm wondering how much I should be practicing on this kind of thing since he's getting quite the amount of changes, like his yoyo acts slightly different.

And what's everyone's thoughts about the attack names being in Japanese? It's annoying that you can't change it, but it's not that big of a deal.

Play someone with English attacks instead?

Pretty sure quite a few of them are Japanese though.

Edit: I take it back, there's a pretty even mix of English and Japanese, just depends on the character.

I think that that is probably better than not having any names on the move list like PS2 AC+.

I don't really use the move list once I know my character.

Like I said, it's not that big of a deal, and I doubt I'll be referring to the command list so much for my character in a week's time, but I can imagine it being frustrating for a newbie to see the attack names on Dustloop and be left out of the loop (pun intended).

GG has never been a newbie-friendly game though, I doubt they'll start now, haha. ;)
First, they were technically intimidating. Now, they've constructed language barriers. What's next? Make the screen black?:054:

There's actually only a few characters that should have Japanese names as their moves because of their nationality, but there are some exceptions. Over half of them should have english names. Luckily for you, most of the moves are either simplified by just listing their input, or giving nicknames to moves on Dustloop. No one really calls Jam's puffballs or parry by their real name.

Hopefully it comes out next week in the US. Also hoping for PS3 online to be better than 360's.
Been playing the PS2 version during study breaks. I'm so bad at (good) Impossible Dust combos.
Kinda mad they made the LevelUp KoF and P4A tourney on the same day as this. Almost want to stay home just to watch this. 5 dollar entry and no venue fee is hard to resist though.

Sometimes I can't tell if James is gliding and oversimplifying things or he's just unaware of a lot of stuff. lol
It's useful though for people new to GG though.

The Japanese BBS compiled a matchup chart for AC+R. http://jbbs.livedoor.jp/bbs/read.cgi/game/34742/1351704761/115
Here's the translated/abbreviated version by Goldenrody https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AjtI6IrBGlOadGlTWWdJMWE1T2ZmT2trSUhzSkZ5SlE&output=html

Translation for the actual list is

SS Class(135~) Zappa
S Class(130~)
A Class(125~) Chipp > Faust > Millia
B Class(120~) Venom = Kliff > Dizzy > Jam = Axel > Order Sol
C Class(115~) Baiken
> Slayer = Robo Ky > Eddie > Anji = I-NO > Bridget > Ky > Johnny = Testament
D Class(110~) Potemkin > Sol > May > ABA > Justice

Of course Justice is ****ing bottom tier. They practically gutted her as a character. I'm not going to say that serious tuning wasn't needed, but going to the extent of taking away the ability to air dash at all? That's ridiculous.

*flips a table.*

I guess they wanted to make a whole new playstyle for GG.

I've heard Zappa's sword is amazing now, so I can understand him at the top.

I wonder what made Chipp so good though?

His buffs kind of stacked up. He has new properties on some moves, some new FBs, and also an FRC on his teleport.
He does a lot of damage with his new combos now http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Io_MfVqv8u4&t=3m15s
I forgot about that video.

His wall jump no longer leaves him in a counter hit state and the angle can be adjusted, his leaf throw has strike invincibility, double find me is harder to see.

He got some amazing changes, but I didn't expect him to be second best. It's still pretty early though so I'm sure the list will change.

What happened to Testament o_O?

He's been pretty high up since Slash, hasn't he?

In Slash he was pretty decent. I don't know all of Testament's nerfs, but I do know his EXE Beast has been changed, same goes for his Badlands. He doesn't get as many loops off of Badlands, and EXE Beast doesn't lead to the same amount of damage.

Maybe they will buff her "get everything back" overdrive in a future update or something, at least she is finally playable in arcades.

Good news for Xbox players in countries without the game, but PSN...

11/9/12 for some XBox countries that do not have it.
November 2012 or later for PSN. :(

His buffs kind of stacked up. He has new properties on some moves, some new FBs, and also an FRC on his teleport.

I wanted to try out that combo in AC, but didn't notice the 6H ground bounce change. :/

I could still manage to continue the combo after the IAD on Sol and I was able to get up to 186 damage with an improvised air combo, if I was good I could no doubt get something better.

I'm okay with that combo, because you probably deserve that damage if you are getting counter hit by Alpha Plus.

If people want to know the actual changes that were made, they are all listed here in this thread: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?14281-Accent-Core-R-LOKETEST-CHANGE-LIST-Thread

Might be helpful. :3
Cheers Lythium.

I-No with a double airdash sounds pretty cool, as does Faust's dumbbell thrown item.
Not sure how I feel about Potemkin's Slide Head causing a ground bounce instead of knock down now though.

I'm not that bothered about the PSN release not being just yet. I'll probably only pick it up once it gets patched to R; GGXAC on the Wii can hold me over if I get the urge to play GG. I may try to brush up on the game though.

I was kind of sad to see Bridget so low, but looking at the matchup chart, he has more even matchups than anything else with the only really bad matchup being against Slayer.

I still need to see what is it that I can practice in the mean time before the update.

Keep in mind it's just a list formed by points from a matchup chart. And that it's by Japanese forum members.
Japanese wiki has its own list that goes from S+ to B+.

S+ Zappa
S Faust, Chipp, Kliff, Millia
A+ Dizzy, Axl, Jam, Eddie, Order Sol, I-no
A Venom, Robo Ky, Johnny, Slayer, Anji, Ky
B+ Sol, Bridget, A.B.A, Baiken, Potemkin, Testament, May
B Justice

November issue of Arcadia has a partial list but that one's way different and also made early in the game's life.

And if you want to see high level Bridget, there's always Ruu.

No xbl players yet? As disappointing as that is, allow me to be the first:

Heavy Garbage
Gamertag: FPWS
Main: Jelly

There's a girl at the college I go to who LOVES guilty gear. When I told her I used Jam, she said "How can you stand all those high pitched noises?! I can't even imagine what sex would be like with her..." O.O <mfw

It's been out on Japanese PSN for a while now(since the first) but I haven't heard anything about international systems yet. I'm pretty sure NA PSN updates games on Tuesdays.

I assume he made an Japanese PSN account and imported a Japanese PSN card.
