Been using support Sona 'cuz of Sona free week. It's been amazing! I just:

1.) Tell a carry to come bot lane with me.
2.) Harass the **** out of the other bottom carry(s). Make it hard for them to last hit.
3.) Buy Phil/HoG/Mercs. All money leftover to Wards.
4.) Ward everything.
5.) Spam QWE in team fights (paying attention to 3rd spell for on-hit effects).
6.) Make 'dem carries dance.

What do you buy for Sona after you complete P.Stone/HoG/Mercs?

Wouldn't those same mana issues come about if you are the jungler and have blue stolen? Idk Iv'e never played skarner so idk about his jungle and stuff. (and I know you need to compensate for being counter jungled but this isn't a perfect world.)

This is why I hate ammumu jungle, hes completely useless if he doesn't have blue.

@Omni, wards, pink wards, oracles, AoL... idk I don't play Sona :S

You should try getting cdr boots instead of mercs unless they are cc heavy. People build reverie out of P.Stone, some get kage's pick before upgrading boots. Aegis is a good choice so is oracle. Then if you still go later qss usually makes you really really safe.

The on-hit effects are really good, same with the auras so just make sure you use them at the right. I mean you have to really consider when to do the extra dmg, when your team needs more dmg, when they need mr/armor, who and when to reduce a carry's dmg by 20%, slow etc..

As a Riven main, I'll give my opinion on that question. I personally play her both pretty evenly depending on the team, and tbh, dont really have a preference. If our team has a good solo top or no one else wants to jungle, I jungle, and if the opposing team doesnt have a jungler of their own or someone else wants to jungle on my team, I lane.

I think he does well both top and in the jungle. I really haven't played riven, just played with/against rivens that did really well.

Xerath has just owned me many times. So hard to get to him.

He and Mogwai*

anyway, DPS Jarman > Tank Jarman right now. I'm starting to think that I was conned into being a baddy by everyone building Tank Jarman way back when and I just did what I had to do to conform to what people wanted from my Jarman picks, but specing 21/9/0 and building hella deeps has been serving me really really well recently.

he just hits **** so ****ing hard...

Some guy just said "we would have won if we didn't have soraka" in a Dominion match

5 minutes later, we win, and I'm 2 points short of first place

Man, some people...

open boots or cloth, then get like, a philostone, 1-2 dblades, or wriggles depending on your early needs, then a brutalizer, then a phage, then like, work towards black cleaver, triforce and ghostblade as makes sense. Buy an aegis somewhere early in there if no one else on your team is gettting one and it seems prudent to up your defensive stats, otherwise, wait till you're a super srsbsns threat and then buy a GA to cover your defensive stats. mercs or tabi or zerkers if you're a real boss, but usually one of the defensive boots.

Don't say anything mogwai let me guess, regrowth pendant + 1 hp pot > boots + philo > brutalizer > atmog
no *****, that was my tank jarman build.

that lull in offensive stats while you build atmog's leaves you really vulnerable vs. true sustainers and true assassins, which are the two most popular types of things you need to lane against. better to just make yourself an assassin and butcher all those kass, talon and akalis.

p.s. I like taking mid vs. kass, it's so ****ing easy to butcher him.

buld jarvan as ad! Just saw his ratios:|
1.1 and 1.5, while good, aren't enough to justify a full ad build. But yes, if you even check my builds on him you can see that i have been building wriggle's -> ghostblade most of the time and not the straight tank bull**** that most people have been doing. Saint gave me **** for going lantern and ghostblade instead of hog stacking the last time i got him and jiji on my team and i just got really sad that even top guys just latch onto a linear build sometimes :( (especially since he and jiji were getting wrecked and i was the only one doing jack **** on the team).
770 range and higher base dmg than ezreal's q should be fine for ad
not really, his q is on an 8 second cd, double that of ezreal/pantheon qs (and effectively more than double ez's q because of the cd reduction mechanic on ez's q).

Again, some ad is cool and if you start snowballing, you can just go balls out ad (if i'm ****** a solo, i'll sometimes just say **** it and get black cleaver after ghostblade to insta-gib people), but you can't build him heavily ad in a typical game because he just dies too quickly (pantheon syndrome, mostly useless at range, needs to get in the fray and then just gets focused down too quickly, except moreso since he doesn't have the global ult to arrive fashionably late in order to avoid most burst).

I mean, if you really like his ratios that much, you should look at lee sin's. Full jarman rotation has a 2.6 ad ratio. Full lee sin rotation has a 5.0(!!!!!) ad ratio (1.0 + 1.0 from q, 1.0 from e, 2.0 from r).
ezreal's q isnt 4 sec cd unless ure talking about it maxed in which case jarvan's is 5 seconds, and jarvan's has more than double the base dmg.
hmm, i was trippin' balls, i thought it was on a 12/11/10/9/8 second cd, my bad.

Anyway, i still think it's a silly comparison, especially when you're pointing out an aspect that does not encourage building ad (base damage).

april 2011!
so why isn't karthus used much in top elo? what is holding him back? i've been wrecking with him lately and he might be my new best champ. he's like a better anivia... more aoe damage, more single target damage over time, a better wall, and a passive that also punishes enemies for focusing you first in a team fight... with no cooldown. his damage and farming are ridiculous.
her and karthus are the most underrated champs.
also, 5 straight ranked wins as karthus :) one more and i break 1500 elo. karth is op.
lets be honest, you used [karthus] too cause you saw where he was placed on the tier list
march 2011. suck it.

march 2011!

my starting point with him will just be a carbon copy of my Jarman build

cloth + 5 to start
wriggles
mercs
ghostblade
BV + GA
do you seriously have nothing better to do with your time than try to catch my opinions on champions changing and then pointing out the points where you thought you were right about them that line up with my current opinion?

seriously, gtfo my nuts. you don't see me pointing out the times when your opinion shifts and gloating about it trying to discredit you. it's pretty ****ing pathetic that that's important to you, especially when you talk and talk and talk about how the discussion in here isn't worth your time and how everyone should make a successful team rather than theorycrafting all day.

Not to mention his CDs and mana costs have been nerfed as well.

Xerath is fine while you have your outer turrets, but once they've started to siege your inner turrets and he can spam spells at you from fog of war he becomes a giant lamer... especially considering he has free armor and decent speedboost on a 2 sec cd.

how does that relate? you are saying you think he does well and doesnt know why he is being usedi n top elo and i say he is underrated which means i agree??

how isnt it worth my time when i respond to almost all of it? and ya i point it out because you never even consider other options only goes your way, the same with irelia earlier and probably a bunch more. and i say make a team if you compllain about solo queue, and play the game instead of theorycrafting. not make a team instead of theorycrafting

and 6 months later you tell me that i only play karthus because he's a top tier champion.

honestly i don't know why vocal put you in the same sentence as mogwai when talking about good players.

all along I say **** like this:

Jarman IV is the best character in the game imho. He has good innate tankiness, good innate damage, good damage scaling, and excellent CC. He works in every lane and in the jungle and due to the flexibility in his design can play Melee AD Carry, Primary Tank, or anything in between.
talking about versatility and you never hear that ****, you just single out when I actually post a build when someone ****ing asks or when I argue with you when you make an asinine comparison like mystic shot to dragon strike.

it's like you don't even pay any attention to my posts, you just read what you want to read so that you can keep hating me for whatever stupid *** reason you have. so you know what, **** you jpak, welcome to my ignore list.

Ok, ever since the Riven patch, Yorick's ult has gotten really friggin' glitchy. Sometimes the revived character will be pitch black, sometimes the ult IMMEDIATELY GOES OFF COOLDOWN WTFFFF, and, finally, and this is the worst thing, the revived person doesn't immediately start with full health for some ******** reason, meaning you can instagib them if you're quick on the draw or have a sustained damage spell like Anivia ult. Whyyyyyyyyyy. It wasn't like that before.

Also, is it me or is attack speed really the best way to go on Cho? It just seems to dominate so hard.
