Honestly think swf doesn't like dominon cause there isnt a shaped meta yet and everyone keeps saying "tanky dps" "backdoor" but doesn't learn how to counter it. It isnt that difficult.

Still summoners rift > dominon regardless
So this is where you post now...

And as a new player, I disagree. I find Dominion to be much more fun that Summoners Rift.

as a new player I can see how you can get into dominion much easier than summoners rift.

fast paced and more action and what not. but as far as the competitive seen goes Summoners rift is most definitely where its at...its pretty much where the whole League of Legends Metagame lies.

I agree, but Summoner's Rift is also more competitive. More balanced champions, a more developed metagame, longer games, strategic use of red and blue buffs, jungling and counterjungling, and it applies more skills (such as last hitting).

Dominion has done wonders for my map awareness, though.

with any character that RoA is core on, just get catalyst first and then boots

the lane party will not end until you say it ends

Yup, I got carried...
Why you so bad at Dominion!?

It's okay. You just go legendary in SR (I usually never get the chance as jungler or top lane tanky). I did get a kick out of the fact that you enjoy it when anyone on your team goes legendary, not just when it's you, haha.

Speaking of Maokai, with how strong early ganking is in this game and how good he would be at ganking, I want to try to revisit jungle Maokai. Should let me try this today.

Saw a game from Ocelote's stream where the SK team did Maokai Jungle, WW top, and I believe Anivia mid. The team skill level may have been way higher for SK for all I know, but the ganks were ridiculous. Was cool to watch.

I want to expect better of you, but I know not to
Tanky AP is THE way to build him... question is can you afford it if you don't take a solo?
he's pretty reliant on srsbsns ganks to get the farm he needs in my experience. If I were to revisit jungle moakai, I'd probably try a regrowth -> philohog opening to get the necessary gold, but it would probably end up being pretty awkward.

I always rush RoA on Mao, then Abyssal / Frozen Heart if I can actually get CS. I get gp5 items then RoA if I'm going bot.

I don't think Deathcap is really a good idea on Mao, since you're probably the tank. I main Mao, though I've never tried jungle Mao, so take all that with a grain of salt.

I meant building Maokai in general. Not sure how I'm gonna work w/ jungle Mao. Just want to experiment a bit.
you can get 4 saplings up before jungle spawns. probably going to use that in one form or another to jungle with.

I haven't even heard half of the audio in the video I link. Did they just never pass some of these along? :applejack:

So much legendary for Zac to hear.

Boots start would help Maokai gank so much better, but you need some monstrous leashes to succeed with that imo.

I personally like building RoA > Abyssal > Hourglass. Then some other tankiness or a Deathcap as needed. Considering Maokai's CC is on fairly low CD and he's already a strong chaser with his snare and strong slower with his Q, I feel Rylai's is expensive and unnecessary.

I feel that Maokai is a terrible chaser, personally. Snare doesn't help with chasing with its long cooldown since you'll use it for initiating, and his Q has like 10 range and the slow is pretty weak considering you're not leveling it up much, not to mention Mao's base speed is like 3.

not leveling his Q... what? unless you're balls out long range harassing/zoning with saplings, Q is his best farming tool and best DPS tool (due to CD).

@Wave - skirmishes tend to take longer than 13 seconds (assuming no CDR whatsoever), so that snare should be up again for the chase, and his Q, as Mogwai just said, is very spammable and has a pretty hefty slow (about 50%) when maxed out, ON TOP of his little pushback that you'll get from snare > Q. After that you lead your enemy and throw Qs out whenever it's up to slow him down, and snare as well.

Not to mention saplings give you sight on enemy and extra damage as well while chasing them.

@Tom - I like movespeed quints on Mao. Basically on CC bots anything that makes them faster is a good thing, lol... particularly if their CC is short ranged like this guy's.

i love the way the announcer emphasizes the multi-kills

"double kill" - "wow, that was pretty neat"
"triple kill" - "oh ****'s getting real now!"
"quadra kill" - "daaaaaamn son!"
"penta kill" - heck. yes.

I always level up Saplings first, every time. Free, exploding wards that do huge damage.
