I'm gonna compile a list of Diddy conversions out of d-tilt and banana toss and how absurd the options are.

Diddy has always been insane, people are kinda actually noticing now.

Stuff like Banana Toss [-> Trip] -> Dtilt -> Grab -> Pummel -> Uthrow -> aerial follow-up really isn't weak though. Like, not at all weak.

Like, literally weak. Its not killing super early. And its vertical, which means lots of meta threats gain relevant strengths on the same stages that Diddy does, and vice versa where battlefield ensures you will live decently long unless you get dair'd.


Emblem Lord I always figured you could escape it with DI up and away, and I think most can.


Anyways, I do know the chimp has ridiculously strong neutral/advantage which flow into eachother very well. Its a big reason that I believe in Megaman, since a reasonable Diddy MU is like 1000x more important than almost any other.

Can't dtilt around pellets. The banana is a ***** though.

D-Tilt also has the range of a sword, has 14 frames of end-lag. Is safe on shield, and true combos into conversions for kills at percents up to 130-140 based on fall speed.

It also can frame trap, true combo into itself, lead into grabs, combo out of banana toss.

I could continue. Ryu on the other hand, has less range on things like light up-tilt, meaning to get hit by it you gotta be legit right next to Ryu.

You can also SDI Ryu up-tilt, you can't with Diddy.

The one argument against being an amazing character was that his results took a hit at the very highest level. Post-1.1.5 has shown that this is false. Mario is not going anywhere. Also, if there was any doubt Ally is on Nario/Dabuz level, they should be quelled now.
