srs just play who you like.
i picked falco because I saw mathos do 70% with lasers and i thought
"I can do that!"

I'm the only other person in GA who would use Marth in a serious tournament set in which I wasn't sure if i would win or not.

other people who would bust out marth, though, include
chaddd
cornel
renegade marth (he switched to falcon then stopped playing despite the name)
marsfool
s0ft (rarely. he'd rather go sheik)

that's it for off the top of my head.

be sure to word that correctly - $10 for the tournament entry, not door fee. <_<

we haven't had a regular sized monthly since min decided to go with the really bad idea for weeklies.
our smash community is small enough as it is.
Biweeklies with the 3rd weekend being a huge monthly would have worked just fine.

For character selection, are you talking about melee or Brawl? if melee, then i saw WES play some samus and i was very impressed, never seen melee ever been played like that and i decided that i wanted to use that character ever since. Now for brawl, ill have to give reflex all the credit for showing us that Wario is the bawls of this game... move over , you and your scarf >.>

Ya forgot jx. HOW CAN YOU FORGET THE BAGEL NATION.

And if you're talking about people who would play marth as a secondary, you also left out 112, Alpha, Articanus, ..... -stops and thinks- that's all i got.

But yeah, monthlies at waba? I guess that concept exists for brawl, I wouldnt know. Melee? Na, especially with the tourney spread and the fact that we as a collective whole travel some places.

I honestly dont think we should have ever gone away from monthlies, just shoulda kept the price at $10. If you look at past wabas, $10 dollar entry is what brings people (and Im not just talking about chaddd, but after that talk and some thought; i can see why $5 dollar tourneys are :| )

I wish I had a main in Melee. It's so discouraging to say my main is Marth/Ganon and no one knows I exist. I suppose that's my own fault, however. I'm going to start entering Melee tournaments again.

I would still prefer to use a "not-as-popular character". just personal preference, really. I know it doesn't matter to anyone else who I use because either way they would **** me, but like I said, I like to see a little variety

It's pretty easy to forget about me for various reasons >.>. I keep getting owned by my boss whenever I try to attend Waba related tournaments after all.

edit: Is there a particular day during the week that a bunch of people in the Atlanta area gather to play Melee besides Fri/Sat? Other than some school in the mornings I have pretty much nothing to do during the week so I might as well come up and get some practice in sometime.
