This was honestly me when I was supporting King K. Rool for Smash Brothers. Some of the fan base is funny when they hate on characters. I've seen some hate comments on K. Rool and there was one that had me in tears. I saw an article and some K. Rool hater told a K. Rool supporter something like "Nobody wants your googly-eyed Bowser in Smash!", and it made me laugh so hard.

But that's the thing. What they do is they **** on characters that have a lot of fan support, and when they make it in Smash, they don't pick on them anymore because once a character gets in, they basically have support that outnumbers the haters. Because Geno didn't make it and has a lot of flaws for making it in Smash, many decided to **** on him because he's one of the last few characters with a lot of support. It's like a hating bandwagon, and most of the time nobody has a real reason for hating him, it's just mainstream.

The more hate Geno fans get, the more satisfying the reveal of Geno will be and the eating of the words of the detractors

How the hell can they really claim the other 3 characters so readily when they likely haven't been finished or even close to ready yet? This is reaching hard.

I could see him being a bonus character or a Mii costume. Unlikely a bonus character, but I think he could be a Mii costume

I thought of Sora the moment I saw Brave. Disney movie, and the stats are similar to Ike's, so I think it'd make sense. Still think Erdrick is gonna be DLC, though.

To be fair, they probably don't care too much about making the music list so it doesn't have any empty spaces.

However, I don't think this leak is real, either, since it's not even the first one with Erdrick. I want Steve, and the others seem cool, but Steve is the only one I care about in the leak.

My point was that they may add more than 3 franchises and not care about the empty spaces that will be left; there's nothing saying they'll restrict it to 3, even the stage list will have a blank space unless Piranha Plant has a stage.

If box theory has taught us anything, it's that all the slots will be filled and no more. Plus, two more characters to represent new franchises and 2 characters from returning franchises sounds like a pretty reasonable DLC imo

I think that space is an arrow, and if for future DLC....that is a good sign. Maybe Sakurai is putting it there just in case of future DLC, and if true, means that he is definitely considering it.

I actually realized something - on the Smash Ultimate website where they display the fighters, 3 fighters per row, all the slots will be completely filled out by the time all the DLC characters are on the website, and nothing more. Imo this adds more legitimacy to music icon theory

I think Geno is going to be one of the two characters to be from franchises already in Smash. I think he would use the Mario icon

I think if they do add a first party character, it'll be either from Mother or some other odd franchise. I don't think they'd add more to existing franchises, except maybe Fire Emblem or Star Fox. No particular reason for the latter, just a lurking suspicion.

He has a surplus of moves to choose from that are practically unheard of across the roster. Magolor is also up there, but I just don't think he'd bring as much to the table as Marx.

I don't think everything was decided before the game was released in Smash 4, though. I am pretty sure the DLC characters were decided before the game was released for Ultimate, however.

Until further notice, Marx has taken up Ridley's job as the designated purple boss guy, so he's got an uphill battle ahead of him.

Yoshi's cool and all, but I'd much prefer it have one rep for now. Yoshi is better selling than other series, yes, but that's accounting for Yoshi's island, too. If anything, I'd like to see a Baby Mario/Baby Luigi tag team rep Yoshi before Poochy since the yarn games just aren't nearly as memorable imo.

The whole "empty spaces" theory hasn't been proven. And we already know dang well that Nintendo don't have some OCD care about that kind of arrangement.

The rumored leak likely isn't true, but there's nothing concrete suggesting that the DLC season pass characters won't all come from new series; let's be real here.

The subway is given different stops and I'd like to see the introduction of a new evildoer that's entirely separate from DJ Octavio but is still very much a prominent villain.

Also, keep Pokemon following you around like in other games, but I'd understand if it can't be implemented since there's so many Pokemon.
Mother 3 localization and trilogy release. I'm not sure how I'd feel about a Mother 4.
Nintendo Switch Online cancelled forever.

Geno announced for Smash along with an extra fighter pass that can be bundled with the first one for 2/3 the price of their sum and a Mario RPG sequel. We find out Geno and Mallow are now officially owned by Nintendo as a result of fan efforts in Operation: Starfall and we can expect them in future mainline titles. At long last getting the recognition they've waited so long for. And to be honest, I wouldn't mind seeing Culex back as a secret boss again. A fated rematch against rivals.

It'd be like a day long direct lol but it is a dream after all.
