If Vergeben's source was told not to take Geno seriously, that sounds suspicious.

And please don't take me posting these things as coming at you xenother . I'm just someone trying to get down to what's going on with the Square DLC just like you or anyone else.

I just have my issues believing the Chun Li claim not because of any comment confusion, but rather you being the first one to mention her name and at a time when a rather kooky DLC theory was being cooked up about her. It was and remains suspicious.

I just also believe unless you have heard something a whole group of others haven't heard (which would be lucky on your behalf), there's no real way for you to discredit Geno/Sora/Crono/Anyone else on the list going around.

That would certainly explain the 100+ guests. Usually its only that high when directs happen, when a reaction is expected.

I believe the other character is Erdrick from Dragon Quest. And while I can see the reasons why Nintendo would choose him, I would still like to believe Geno could get in. I don't see a reason to just lie down and die in the face of inevitability. Especially when we've already lost base game. If we've got nothing to lose, might as well see the whole thing through.

Plus, a little chaos thrown in the mix is always fun.

Actually Crono was one of the names Vergeben heard the most with DQ heroes (Luminary/Erdrick counting as one with how many people seems to just know about a DQ heroes) and Sephiroth.

I don't know why you're making it sound like I'm flipping out and getting super angry. I'm annoyed, yeah. Who wouldn't be.

I have no idea what your sources are. The way you acted made it seem like nothing you say could be trusted. Maybe I was wrong to say you have no legitimate source, but then again, why would you need to use trickery to get the Square list if you legitimately had information?

My responses to you sharing the info were (verbatim) "You and I need to chat. About this comment in particular: [comment was linked here]. I'm not sure what exactly you're referencing, but I don't appreciate the implication." and in discord once I realized who you were "Hey PolarPanda, how's it going? just out of curiosity, is [redacted] another one of your personalities?"

I don't know why you're treating me like some super angry villain when I was nothing but polite to you and you shared information that was given to you in confidence.

I also don't understand why you feel the need to have a disjointed back and forth on Smashboards in front of an audience rather than having a conversation like adults on a platform more suited for it.

TheCJBrine From what I've heard around the forums, the name is rarely said. The bait would be Sora and that other character that is listed on the DM.

1. xenother Got his information from Verge, but he's only basing his info from what Verge has heard. He doesn't have any connections like how me, PolarPanda and Fatmanonice are.
2. He's lying about Geno's chances.
3. Polar's source is indeed real, Note with the screenshot Polar pulled earlier, i got it from a discord server he visits and brought it to Polar's attention.. There's no corolation between Polar's Source and Polar's account.

TL;DR
Polarpanda is Sabi and the Ambassador is a separate entity who obtains info from his connections.
Xenother does have info but he gets it from Vergeben thus has no input in said info.
And I'm me.

This news that they’re focusing on existing franchises for Ultimate is supremely ****ing disappointing to me.

I still stand by the priority should be getting every franchise in Smash.

And the Isaac news almost once again speaks to the tone deaf nature of Nintendo to be surprised at a reaction when he has had a non insignificant fan base pushing for him since Brawl and especially during 4...

Why do you have to lie. If you're so keen to screenshot everything, post the one where I called you a "douche" because I didn't. I believe the strongest wording I used was "scumbag" and that was in a private DM to Hitagi.

It's disappointing but I don't think it's very surprising

The most tone deaf thing they did was not showing certain characters until the end

Or, if Spirits deconfirm, showing some characters for a split second

Even Sephiroth feels like a stretch - why him of all characters to open the floodgates on unique secondaries from third parties? (Eggman or we riot)
