What if Geno cycles through everyone's win animations from SMRPG? His nod, Mario/Mallow/Peach's peace symbols (with spinning in Peach's case and hopping excitedly in Mallow's), and whatever Bowser's doing with his arms, depending on which region you're in.


Probably a stretch, yeah, but I wonder what this is trying to reference, if anything?

What would be really cool is if Mario, Bowser, and Peach get those animations if any of them win a team battle with Geno. And as a bonus, Mallow in the background cheers them on if all four of them fight together (kind of like Doc Louis showing up in Little Mac's victory screen).

Is there a chance that Sakurai knows how Geno impacts on social media? I mean, lot of Fan Art in every aspect. Specially Waltz of the Forest 5.2m & Something About Geno 1.8m.

This is not so impressive. I would be surprised if any top candidate didn't have at least that.

How long do people think these characters take to develop. Sakurai did say during Smash 4 base that they take a year but I always assumed since then DLC takes about 6 months. Joker would have hypothetically started in November before his actual reveal, Hero would have started in January or February which was around when the Brave codename got leaked, BK would have started March, Terry would have started April and Byleth would have started around June. I guess Sakurai did say he played early version of three houses but I wouldn't be too surprised if that was when they were actually considering characters for the pass since he did say he could turn them down should they have not worked. That would peg Min Min at around December or January and if they do have a 1 month gap between reveals which would suggest something around September assuming this theory is actually worth something and not meaningless and no delays and such. Nothing factual just speculation of course.

I'm doubtful of much but I'm hopeful nonetheless

I think at this point we should look forward to randomly appearing Sakurai Presents happening over the chance of a Direct for Smash news. And those are much harder to pinpoint or leak. So we have to anticipate them at ANY second. Maybe NOW. Oooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrr NOW!

We do know that the Smash site can glitch before they modify it, like when they added Marginally Smaller Battlefield, so the site will be the biggest tell if something is coming.

Whether it will be a Direct or a Sakurai Presents, I just want it to be announced beforehand and be livestreamed so that everyone enjoy it together at the same time - the tension and anticipation right before a Direct starts is something I want to feel again.

Oh they are.... they just don’t care. They’re clearly deathly afraid of potentially delaying ANYTHING now, so they’re not announcing anything until it’s almost out the door.

Long story short, every amiibo wave releases around the same timeframe as the new fighter. Min Min doesn't confirm or contradict the rule because there weren't any new amiibo between Byleth and CP7, meaning there's nothing going on that really relates to that rule.

Its a baffling contradictory mindset: they are so terrified at having a delay and disappointing some people that they rather hold everything back and be silent which is just disappointing everyone.
