reputable the leak?
Just like us with your theoriesNimbus Land: "That's bull**** but I believe it."
I wouldn't be surprised if they do the midnight announcement thing again. Remember, Japan's timezone is ahead of us quite a bitIf Nintendo decides to make another Sunday announcement, I really hope it's in the afternoon and not ****in' midnight like last week. Staying up only to find out that Nintendo decided to draw and quarter it's E3 presentation was one of the worst things about it.
Wait it did? I thought just the source code of it got leaked.>smrpg leaked on eshop
Corrected. My mistakeWait it did? I thought just the source code of it got leaked.
But yeah either way I think Geno's in
That's it... You're excommunicated. You are literally Sean Connery at the end of the Wickerman at this point. Enjoy your next two hours of life.Just like us with your theories
This pretty much. Yes, the costume could possibly come back, but the fact Geno’s costume has been missing the whole pass including Hero’s wave definitely means something. In fact, it’s been 6 waves and spirits don’t disconfirm as people were insisting. I can imagine Nintendo wanting to do more DLC back in E3 and decided to not bring back the costume if not bring it with playable Geno. Those people have to at least accept Geno is a huge possibility.Smash Fans: "Wow, seeing as how there was never a 3 Houses spirit event and Byleth got in, we should really pay attention to what content is missing in updates"

Good point, Fatmanonice always said "Don't stop believing a leak just for the time, sometimes can happen months or even years before we prove/dissprove something"So, something interesting happened: the gameplay for Cortex's stages in Crash Bandicoot 4 has been revealed
And in it, we see that Cortex's stage consists of making it to a point where he has set up a trap that Crash runs into in his own stage. And wouldn't you know it? This exact detail leaked nearly a year ago on Twitter, along with the entire basic premise of Crash 4
So, what does any of this have to do with Geno? It's the mere fact that this leak took nearly a year to come to pass (11 months technically, since the game launches in October) And hmmm, isn't there one certain thing that no one was able to definitively prove was fake or not and just kind of faded away and has been hanging in limbo?

My point is, I wouldn't rule Cacomallow out due to it's age, nor would I rule out the Mii Costume Guy list just because it's been awhile. Sometimes these things are a slow burn

I like this a lot.Theory: Smithy is like General Grievous
In his boss fight he literally changes his own head, so we know he's capable of just making the heads himself. And, his eyes move independent of his body like they're true organic eyes and he's consciously looking around. He was once fully-organic and chose to put himself in a replaceable robot body to reign over an everlasting empire with killing machines he manufactures.
In SMRPG the final boss is having to deal with the truth that you just killed a living person.
Nah man, it actually makes sense.Valentina and Dodo always cracked me up because for them to mistake Dodo for Mallow means the Nimbus Land are either really ****in' stupid or they just don't give a **** because they're that lax and carefree.
Valentina: "This morbidly obese toucan is your crown prince."
Nimbus Land: "That's bull**** but I believe it."
This. I can't stand when supporters of other characters are allowed to make some stretching theory about how their character has a chance of getting included, but as soon as us Geno supporters make a stretching theory, it suddenly isn't okay?Smash Fans: "Wow, seeing as how there was never a 3 Houses spirit event and Byleth got in, we should really pay attention to what content is missing in updates"

PACK IT UP BOYS!You know, something just dawned on me
Mario Maker 2, LM3 and Paper Mario ToK all have 2 things in common:
1. They're all Mario series games
2. They never got a spirit event in Smash Ultimate
Makes me think they're holding off Mario content in updates for some reason. I have no idea what this could mean but since Geno's a Mario character, it's relevant.
If the announcement comes between either 10am up to say 7pm for a Direct either the following day, or two days later, the timing bodes well. Like the announcement from Monday's Direct Mini, I believe the timing of the announcement and broadcast was intentional as to not garner too much of an audience. Unfortunately the Nintendo brand would not allow that within the psyche of fans. Byleth's Mr. Sakurai Presents went through a similar timing as well. The presentation announcement came at the last minute, and said presentation was broadcasted early in the morning (certainly Sakurai foresaw that the reveal would experience some backlash from fans not too fond of the FE series). If Nintendo decides to make another Sunday announcement, I really hope it's in the afternoon and not ****in' midnight like last week. Staying up only to find out that Nintendo decided to draw and quarter it's E3 presentation was one of the worst things about it.
Smash Fans: "These damn Geno fans and their stupid stretching theories. No one should believe anything without rock solid evidence."This. The Smash community is just filled with tons of hypocrites.
The biggest mind**** would be Geno getting in and that EXACT same Mallow Hat shows up. Would put Doomguy in such a weird limbo. So, something interesting happened: the gameplay for Cortex's stages in Crash Bandicoot 4 has been revealed

Agreed. Game development of all kinds is typically done well in advance of it's initial reveal, so acting as though something not appearing within a specific arbitrary timeframe is unwise, especially since The Coof has caused numerous delays for just about everything and anything gaming related. CacoMallow not showing up over a year and a half after it first appeared doesn't really matter if everything is getting delayed. So, something interesting happened: the gameplay for Cortex's stages in Crash Bandicoot 4 has been revealed

The invite link for Star Road is somewhere in the first post on the thread. We recently closed all invites, but they should be back up and running again now.I have a question: how do you join the Geno discord? I tried doing it the other day and it wouldn't let me in. Is it because an invite is required or something?
edit: nvm I just joined Papageno's server

A bunch of Nintendo prototypes are apparently currently being compiled from leaked source code right now as of this post
— AK (🦋 @akfamilyhome.com) (@Akfamilyhome) July 24, 2020
First up there's this Yoshi's Island proto with different UI graphics, placeholder music from Mario World, and has a prefix of 'Super Mario Bros. 5' pic.twitter.com/Qqock5RZaS
WTF NO. I AM A GAME DESIGN EXPERT (not to toot my own horn, but I have watched 7 Youtube videos on the topic) AND I CAN TELL YOU THAT ANY PROJECT THAT TAKES LONGER THAN 72 HOURS IS IMMEDIATELY CANCELED.View attachment 279967
Wow, it's as if video games are complicated multi-year projects and unless you're literally on the development team, your typical person isn't going to have set parameters for how far along a game is or when certain bits of information are actually going to be verified.
What is this exactly? For future e-shop?
Super unlikely, but I wonder if we'll see some remants of Luigi. After all, he did appear with the rest of the party in one pre-release screenshot.Apparently the SNES game leak includes a prototype of Yoshi's Island (which is in such an early state that it's called "Super Mario Bros. 5" on the title screen).

Hopefully there's some unused SMRPG stuff too.
It's only been a few hours, mate. The good stuff isn't usually found until much later, when people are able to get a good look at what they've got.It doesn't SEEM like we got anything Mario RPG beta related? People have compiled the roms from the source code and from what I can tell they're the final releases. The rest of the stuff is up in the air though and based on the insane Yoshi's Island stuff people have already found I have a feeling we are going to see some crazy stuff.
Calling it Super Mario Bros. 5 makes sense, actually. Super Mario World is prefixed with "Super Mario Bros. 4" in Japan, and given Yoshi's Island is called "Super Mario World 2," it's kind of like a "First Blood, Rambo: First Blood Part II, Rambo III" kind of dealApparently the SNES game leak includes a prototype of Yoshi's Island (which is in such an early state that it's called "Super Mario Bros. 5" on the title screen).

I looked at the supposed compiled roms, they seem indentical, same size and everything, I was even able to load my Mario RPG saves onto it.It's only been a few hours, mate. The good stuff isn't usually found until much later, when people are able to get a good look at what they've got.
im on board with this thought. Its either Master Chief or Doomguy period. So if Cacomallow is true then that means Geno is FP 7 (coming with Mallow) and Doomguy is FP 8 (coming with Cacodemon)? Or at the very least they are both fighters in the pass? Either way pretty exciting stuff, though I do wonder if Doomguy would hurt the chances of other "Western" characters like Crash, Master Chief, and Steve.
Honestly speaking I 100% believe that if Doomguy really is 8, then Master Chief ain't happening.
