I post about other stuff. It's just I find it odd people talk about him like there's nothing wrong about him when there clearly is like Sabi.

Perhaps I shouldn't have been so condescending. Sabi was, too, cocky, but he was also just a disturbed individual. I'd had spoken to him for years, and there was always something twisted about it all. Nate just gets a kick out of teasing people. Maybe he is secretly a terrible person, but unless he is, he shouldn't really be compared to Allen.

On the topic of weird dreams of Geno in smash, I had one where he was confirmed in ultimate and I was losing it. However, for whatever reason Geno was a reskinned DK who looked wooden with a geno hat on. Upon the awkwardness sakurai said "Geno was such a brute in Super Mario RPG, I just couldn't figure out how to portray it, but i'm proud with how he turned out, I hope you will be excited to play as him!"

I contemplated life itself for what felt like 20 minutes and woke up.

Along with what I summarized on the last page, Nate also said at the end of the podcast he doesn't anticipate Zelda being there. "I didn't say it won't be, but I'm just not anticipating it." - Nate

For those uninformed, Nate is definitely credible. He never comments on rumors unless they're likely true and actually gets annoyed by rumor-speak. As such, he doesn't like having to reassure people so much. This isn't a Sabi type or something, Nate is credible.

I've talked about it here before, but back in early 2019, I had a dream where a direct happened and I checked the Smash website because I was away from home at the time. Lo and behold, Geno was there as the next fighter! But... his name was not "Geno". No no no, for some reason, his name was "Geno from Super Mario RPG"

Fawful would be the best. He is cute and charming and silly while also being a spiteful weirdo. He has major roles in two Mario & Luigi games plus a minor role in another one, and is a fan favorite character.

I guess he'd also work as a boss fight, seeing as his chances of being playable are null, but making him playable would be so perfect. He is such a silly character and there's a lot of fun to be had with his attacks and presentation. Despite being a fan favorite character and being the best character to represent Mario RPGs, he has no traction for SSB and would never be made playable now that the Mario & Luigi games might be done for good. But if Sakurai knew how to make the best ssb game ever, he would add fawful

While I, personally, don't have the highest thoughts on Geno's shot. I think coming into the Geno thread just to say you don't want him is pretty tone-deaf. Completely discounting Paper Mario as a "third Mario" also misses the point entirely. Neither character would act anything like the rest of the roster.

I can't think of any but I think the reason Nintendo is supposedly holding it on Monday is because Xbox is doing it's big thing on Thursday. I think Nintendo always planned to do their reveals after Origami King released but then Xbox set up their plans for this week and its like "Jesus christ we need to announce our stuff we have literally nothing on the table after Paper Mario" so they shifted to Monday.

Buddy, you can’t just come to the Geno thread and say you don’t want him. Also, saying Fawful makes the best Smash Bros ever is completely your opinion. 1 character does not make a difference making the best Smash game. Smash Ultimate is most successful Smash game ever without Fawful. I’m sure you have better things to do like making a Fawful thread or something.

I dunno if you were trying to get a rise out of people, but the way you phrased it didn't really bother me, so I'm just gonna assume you were just giving your opinion with no ill will involved, and I'd personally also like to see Fawful as a boss, in his corrupted form at least. That's what I've been saying this whole time. Pamela Horton is too smart to say "Geno was announced for Smash" if she was talking about a Mii fighter costume from five years ago. And GameStop is too dumb to know how to do proper damage control, especially given how they've been handling this disaster so far. *Especially* with the "We have no idea who the next fighter is. Probably someone from Fire Emblem," line. There's no reason to think that one of the biggest game retailers in the country doesn't know who's coming next. Them trying to say they couldn't possibly know is just dumb.
